The whole experience was an incredible display of God's glory. Waking up & falling asleep to the waves crashing allowed us to leave the worries of small business ownership back on the mainland. We look forward to returning next year.

For us, the most outstanding feature of this house was that we neither saw nor heard neighbors, despite being right on the beach. That has to be unique in a beachfront property in this price range. You feel like you are on an estate. The house is as pictured – very nice. Property managers were responsive. In December we had a fair amount of wind some days, and some rain, which is not unusual on that side of the island in winter. There were also high surf advisories every day which made it too rough for good swimming and snorkeling at our beach – again something that can happen in winter. But if we wanted sunny beach time we just had to drive south.

We are SO thankful to have found this place in Kappa'a! We were over the moon with the accommodations and realized more and more as the week went on what a little piece of paradise the location and beach truly is. We've rented a number of VRBOs in the past and on occasion, the photos are enhanced - that is not true here, what you see is what you get. You are literally steps from the beach and have better views than most high-end resorts. The unit is furnished with everything you need and is very updated - it enabled us to do some meals on our own but it was also walking distance to a number of cute places to eat, have a coffee or a cocktail. As a bonus, the owner has provided beach chairs, blender, umbrellas, beach towels, coolers, etc - all the extras making it hassle-free! We visited a number of other beaches and parks during our stay and each time ended up appreciating the beach at the unit even more - it's uncrowded, has little tide pools for swimming and enabled us to see monk seals, sea turtles and many birds from the porch. You can't go wrong if you stay here - there isn't one thing we would change about this place!

Quiet and relaxing

Beautiful home on the prettiest place on the Big Island. Just beautiful decor and design. Well appointed, clean and gigantic. The property manager was very responsive to a minor issue with the propane and it was quickly remedied. Had a great stay. We will definitely be back!
