Neighborhood
The neighborhood:
Kahana gives you a quieter West Maui address between lively Ka'anapali and scenic Kapalua. The area is good for beach days, snorkeling, and lingering over a channel sunset, with stores and restaurants close enough for easy errands. Go north for Kapalua's hiking trails, golf, and bays, or south for Ka'anapali's bigger resort scene. Pohaku Park is also nearby for a beach walk and picnic. This neighborhood works well for families and couples who want to explore West Maui while coming home to a more relaxed stretch of coast.

Guests can use the shared pool, barbecue area, elevator, and beach access near the oceanfront property. This unit has an in-unit washer and dryer and elevator access. Facing the ocean from 2 patios. Wake up to and go to bed with sea turtles, butterflies, rainbows, and whales a football field or two away! Return form the many beautiful beaches (We chose Napilini Beach, Kapalua Bay and finally really found Flemings Beach to our liking!) to rinse off and jump in the heated pool. BBQ or fully equipped kitchen leaves you equipped to make the best meals. Friendly neighbors and comfortable and clean condo is recommended as we simply enjoyed all aspects of Maui.

We loved that it was right on the water and, since we were there in February 2024, it was perfect for all the whale watching! Also amazing for turtle watching right on the balcony too! They were swimming right in front of us! It is close to all the Kaanapali beaches too! The home was immaculately clean and had everything you would need for your stay. It is a lovely quiet building and the sound of the waves crashing on to the rocks below was so soothing. There were beach chairs and a beach bag for guest use! Lots of Tupperware too for taking a snack to the beach too! They even welcomed us with some great ground coffee for our stay and some lovely macadamia chocolates! A lovely stay which we will remember forever!

The property had amazing views and we were able to listen to the waves crash.
The only issue was the washing machine. There was even a sign that says if it stops working press the start button again. After several attempts, we got it to work. However the second time we used it then it would not work at all and I had to take out wet clothes and attempt to dry them individually.

Absolutely breathtaking view from both lanais - one can be entranced for hours by the sound of the ocean waves and watching the massive sea turtles. Only recommendation to owners would be to replace covers on dining room chairs as 3 of the 4 of them were ripped.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay at this property. Two balconies with amazing sunset views. Could see whales and turtles frequently. Location was great and within a short drive of Lahaina shops and restaurants and Kaanapali beaches. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you'd need for a homemade meal. Only issue is the doors separating bedrooms don't offer the most privacy. We would absolutely stay here again!

My friends and I really enjoyed staying at this condo. The surrounding views of the ocean is definitely the best feature of the place. From the balcony you can sip your coffee while taking in the views and the sight of rainbows. Check-in process was a breeze and the location is easy to get to. The only downsides worth mentioning are the lack of privacy in the bedrooms due to how thin the doors are and the door to one of the bathrooms cannot be closed, exacerbating the lack of privacy. It would be great if the owner could at least fix the bathroom door.

Loved our stay. We sat on the patios every morning and watched the amazing views of the ocean. The condo was very clean and maintained well.
Loved having a washer and dryer in the unit. All appliances were in good working condition. It was nice to have a fridge with a water dispenser and ice maker.
The pool was lovely and the gas grills were cleaned regularly.
Beach access was limited due to the seawall of large sand bags placed to help with beach erosion. Certainly understand the property owners in the area trying to protect there property.
The condo was quiet and relaxing.
AC would have been an added plus to our stay but we were able to cool the condo off with the fans provided.
Of notation the bedrooms were separated by louvered doors, and ornamental screens so privacy could be a concern for some.
Definitely would stay at this unit again.

The condo was a wonderful place to stay in Maui for the Christmas holiday. The staff was super helpful and the complex loaned us beach chairs, a cooler and boogie boards for the week. The kitchen had everything we needed in terms of pots, pans and appliances. The pool was great and overall the place was very family friendly. Also a great location within walking distance to shopping, beach and restaurants and a short drive to other must see places on the island.

Two couples celebrating milestone anniversaries found the Hololani exactly what we were expecting! Good large space, right on the ocean! Unfortunately the weather was unseasonably warm and humid but it didn't deter us from having an absolutely wonderful time! The view from the lanais (sunrise, sunsets) were breathtaking! First of all let me say that the lady working in the office was the most helpful and friendly every time we had a question or needed something she was great. The condo itself was clean and well furnished. There was even start up products to get you going before you had to go shopping. Having a washer and dryer is a big help. The location can't be beat.The sound of the waves at night puts you right to sleep. It doesn't get any better than this.This was our second stay at this resort, it won't be our last.

Great unit! The unit was as advertised in terms of amenities, space, views, etc. The two lanais are a particular plus on this unit. The building, grounds, and unit are top notch. Access to the beach is the only thing they need to work on, and it needs a lot of work. The "stairway" down to the beach isn't much of one and makes access at times very difficult. For a beachfront property that must be addressed.

The Hololani exceeded our expectations! The corner unit was fantastic. Enjoyed the sunsets and being right on the water. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The grounds staff kept the grills very clean. Location was convenient and within a block of unit there were sidewalks for long walks. Close to Kapalua Beach where the snorkeling was excellent. We watched the sea turtles from our lanai each night. When we come back to Maui we will definitely stay at this establishment.

We loved the creative decor of the condo plus the updates in the kitchen and baths. Our favorite avtivity was watching the whales. the windsurfers, beautiful rainbows and sunsets from our spacious lanai. Sleeping to the sound of God's ocean waves were so relaxing. Our location in Kahana was away from the hustle and bustle of larger resort areas. The grounds were immaculate. The office was always ready to give us information and take care of our needs. We feel we have found Heaven on Earth at Hololani. We look forward to many return trips.

We loved everything about B-504. The view was fantastic, we saw whales from our balcony most every day. The location was easy to get around to all of the sights, restaurants and shopping.
For the most part it was very quiet, however one day there was quite abit of noise due to construction being done on our balcony. The condo had plenty of space for my family. Very quiet and pleasent. We enjoyed our family vacation with pleasant sounds of water and beautiful sunsets in the evening. Close to snorkling at Napilii with a sighting of a huge sea turtle feeding on seaweed on the rocks. Lots of fish including large puffer fish. Enjoyed ziplineing, horsebackriding, Parasailing, and surfing lessons. The fish at local restaurants was excellent. We enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you.

We wanted to be able to fall asleep listening to the waves and be able to cook meals with the wonderful local foods. When we walked into the unit and saw both the interior and the view, all we could do was say "Oh my gosh!" over and over. The main lanai was mostly shaded all day, which allowed us to stay out and enjoy the waves without getting fried by the sun. The kitchen was gorgeous and full of everything we needed. The decor was lovely, with touches of Hawaiiana without being kitschy. We fell asleep each night listening to the crashing waves, and we were able to leap into the surf each day only a few steps from our unit. We noticed that the newer buildings are required to be set well back from the shore, which means that the sounds and sights of the surf are much further away. Being so close to the water was amazing. We are already planning our next visit!

My family has been coming back to the Hololani for several years for our Maui "fix". We really enjoy the property and how the grounds are maintained. Reserved parking, the spectacular views of Lanai and Molokai and being right on the beach can't be beat. Plus having a washer/dryer in the unit really helps lighten the suitcases. Over the years, we have stayed in many different units and this one is right up there with the top units we have rented. The kitchen and baths have been updated and are fresh. And there is a nice TV in the great room. I wish the beds were Kings as we are tall and that there were more sleeping pillows, but those beds and more pillows are hard to find in rental units anywhere. And my only other suggestion would be to have a wider variety of kitchen utensils (i.e. can opener to open the pineapple juice cans and full size whisk for eggs) and tupperware style containers for food storage (something to refrigerate the fresh cut pineapple in) - more glass bowls with glass lids would have been nice, but nevertheless, we were able to improvise and have a wonderful vacation. We can't wait to return and would recommend this unit and the property as a whole to anyone.

We loved our stay in Maui at Hololoni. The view from our balcony was beautiful and the grounds were kept up nicely. The beach in front of the condo was small and during high tide it disappeared but the beaches just south were beautiful and easy to get to. We appreciated the quiet and not-so-busy environment. We'll definately be back, hopefully during the whale migrating season!

B504 was a nice unit but the hot water in the shower only stayed warm for about 45 secs. The headboard in the master bedroom is very warn and sheds. The couch needs vacuuming especially the back. The sliding door to the second bedroom need to be stabilized so they don't move at night and make noise. The elevators were under repair but did not cause a problem. Thanks for the Hololani bags which were very handy when shopping.

Had a wonderful stay in 504-B at Hololani - beautifully appointed, and could see the whales and turtles right from our lanai! Both bedrooms had their own private lanai and bathrooms, making it great for two couples to have a great stay. Highly recommend this unit and will book it again the next visit to Maui!!

Beautiful property with two balconies right on ocean. Great balcony furniture, interior furniture a bit uncomfortable. Back bedroom bed lacks support. Kitchen fully equipped and modernized. Location seemed to get more wind and perhaps showers than areas south, but could have just been a fluke. Parking spot really nice to have, elevator worked fine.
