OUR EXPERIENCE AT HOLOLANI WAS JUST LIKE OUR MANY OTHER STAYS. THE ROOMS WERE BEAUTIFUL AND VERY WELL SUPPLIED WITH WHAT WE NEEDED. WE FOUND THE OTHERS STAYING THERE TO BE VERY FRIENDLY. OUR ONLY COMPLAINT WOULD BE THE ACCESS TO THE BEACH. IT WAS HARD TO GO DOWN THE RAMP AND VERY HARD TO STEP BACK UP!! WE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED TO SEE SEVERAL PEOPLE TOUCH AND LAY DOWN CLOSE TO THE HUGE TURTLES ON THE BEACH TO TAKE PICTURES,BUT THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HOLOLANI !!

We've been coming to Kauai for over 15 years and have stayed at most of the rental homes along both sides of the bay. Sandcastles was a great home and would stay there again. Very comfortable and secure. Air conditioning would be the only comfort needed. The back master suite has very little ventilation.

The location was spectacular and the accomodations were wonderful, there was a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers on our arrival which gave it a nice touch. The only thing that I would recommend fixing is the screen doors on the sliding glass door, there was no way to open or close them without them coming off the track - we tried numerous times to fix them but without success.

What a beautiful spot! A little cottage perched between the coast and the mountains. Spacious and comfortable, clean and well-equipped, separated from neighbouring cottages, this place was an absolute joy. The location is fantastic - having the conveniences of Princeville nearby, a short drive to Hanalei and other beautiful beaches for sightseeing and beach/water activities aplenty, this is the place to stay in northern Kauai.
