Sleeping and waking to the sound of the surf was fabulous!! Thank you for obtaining an I-Pod dock. We were able to listen to traditional Hawaiian music every sunset. Love the tile floors- cool and clean. We shall return. Mala and Merriman's were our two favorite places to eat this vacation. Thank you for letting us rent your lovely Maui condo.

We stayed in this condo from March 21 - April 1 2012. Let me sum up the visit in one word - AMAZING!!! I will give more details below.
The condo:
Located on the south shore in the Poipu area it is in a fabulous location. The south shore is very sunny, even on iffy days this area gets amazing sun in the afternoons. The condo is newly renovated, and super clean. The furniture is really comfortable. The kitchen comes with all the essentials, including a blender (for frosty smoothie drinks). There are 2 bathrooms and the master bath is HUGE. There is lots of counter space and the shower is VERY spacious. The view --- stunning. From the family room and kitchen and nook you have stunning views of the ocean and Shipwreck Beach. You also have a great view of the pool. The pool is quite big and there are lots of lounge chairs. We never had a problem getting 2 together. Down by the pool there are gas BBQ's. As a tip we brought walkie talkie so that we could communicate over the cooking hour. :) The pool is really close by. The condo has a TV with all the channels you could possibly want. Also there is WIFI. In the storage compartment outside there is everything that you would need for the beach. Oh, almost forgot, it comes with washer and dryer. So fabulous!!! The condo has many windows that open on a louvre system. The trade winds blow right through and keep the place cool. There is no AC.
Things to Check-Out:
We would definitely recommend a trip up to the north shore, in fact more than once. The beaches and scenery up there are breathtaking. For shopping there are some great shops in the Poipu area. Starbucks is a 5 minute drive from the condo. Also, there is a small grocery store that is a 5 min drive away from the condo. The island does have a Costco and Safeway -- these are a bit further away.
The boat cruise with Captain Andy up the Napali Coast was amazing. We saw turtles, dolphins and whales up close and personal. Make sure to book this early. Also, Beach House Restaurant was our favourite, and is great for the sunset view. We booked this before we left. Good thing we did. They fill in fast.
The Fern Grotto tour is worth it if you have not been before.
Nice to walk to Shipwreck Beach (5 min from condo).

This condo at the Fairway Villas does not disappoint! It has all that you need in a relaxing Hawaiian retreat; yet, as part of the expertly designed Waikoloa Beach resort, you can participate in a myriad of activities & adventures. (the owner has thoughtfully provided a closet full of useful extras--such as bamboo beach mats, fold-up chairs, cooler, etc..). Having stayed at various condos & resorts on the Big Island and other Hawaiian isles, the Fairway Villas is still our favorite! This is our first time using VRBO and this condo was as described by the owner (both beds were very firm (but we slept great!). Of note: the Noni Papaya Pineapple toiletries provided (eg, lotion, shampoo & conditioner) were high quality, Hawaiian-made and raved about several times by the ladies is our group. Thanks Carole, for sharing your lovely home with us and for being so accommodating and a pleasure to work with!!

Amazing. We enjoyed our week in your beautiful condo. Thank you for suggesting we order from Lahina produce. We were able to experience produce that we never would have known about. Your condo was stocked with everything we needed and more. We whale watched as the sun came up several mornings while we enjoyed our coffee, so glad you had binoculars for the show we got to see. New Year's provided us with a great view of all the firework shows on the opposite side of the bay while we celebrated with Hawaiian Pineapple champagne, You are centrally located to everything. The coolers made the road to Hana enjoyable since we could pack drinks, snacks and a picnic lunch. We felt like we had a private beach only a short walk away and we walked to our boat for our snorkeling adventure. We loved having access to a grill and easily sat six at your table for meals. No one wanted to go home when our vacation came to an end. Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful home for a week. We had six adults and never felt cramped.

Each morning we saw whales from the lanai and got a photo of one breaching. The Green Sea Turtles were an added bonus!! Your home is very modern, clean and very comfortable. We couldn't believe how well the kitchen was stocked with everyday household items, right down to the smallest details. We called 423 our home for 12 days and will miss being here. Best wishes, aloha
