Neighborhood
The neighborhood:
Paki Maui is in the Honokowai area of West Maui, near local markets and restaurants with Kaanapali just south. Honokowai Beach Park is close for a shoreline walk, while Kaanapali Beach and Whalers Village are about a five-minute drive for broad sand, shopping, and dining. The complex's oceanfront lawn is a lovely place to watch for whales in season and catch the day's last light. This stretch works well for visitors who want easy access to West Maui without staying in the middle of a large resort.

Parking is typically available in lots, though it can fill up in town.

The living room is a gathering place for picturesque views of palm trees, tides, and the islands across the way. The decor is evocative of Hawaiian life, with Tiki-inspired lamps and palm leaf print furniture perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. Just pull the enormous sliders open to feel the island breeze. A flatscreen TV and DVD player are available in the living room to further unwind. Surf the web using the provided WiFi.
A full kitchen is separated from the living room by an island, and the kitchen is equipped with all of the essentials to create a home-cooked meal. Dinner or breakfast can be had at the dinette table looking out at the water, or sip Maui coffee while perched on the counter bar stools. Alternatively, grills are available near the pool for a proper BBQ. Wherever you might choose to cook, don't worry about the dishes as the kitchen comes complete with a dishwasher.
The whole family can gather on the larger lanai off of the living room to watch the waves crash on the shoreline, and you might even be lucky enough to spot the local sea turtles playing in the surf below. The view from the patio was breathtaking. We spent both morning and evening enjoying the view and the sound of the ocean. The access to the beachfront from this condo is unbeatable. My family, rented snorkel equipment across the street from the condo (extraordinarily convenient) and snorkeled out in front of the condo many of the 10 days we were in Maui. Our family come from a much cooler climate, and even though the condo did not have AC, many fans were provided for the sleeping areas that kept it comfortable at night.

Very Nice room overall with great view from lanai. Limited spices and the usual ‘leftovers” (salt/pepper) for cooking but we managed. No ‘bonus’ leftovers like chairs, coolers, or boogie boards. Would stay again.

Amazing view where you can see the sun set from your porch and hear the waves crashing throughout the day. Roomy enough for a family of five to move about comfortably. Walking distance to shops and food, yet you have to drive to an accessible beach for swimming/snorkling.
If you are able, shop at the Target by the airport, the grocery stores near the condo are ridiculously expensive.

The curb appeal of this place is not good. However, the interior of this condo was nice. There is definitely no beach but there is one next door and all over the island so that was not an issue. Since this is located next to a public park/beach, there is always going to be that “noise”. That being said the interior was great. Good size kitchen with all the items to cook. Remember that this is not an air b&b so don’t expect much of anything in the line of seasonings but that was not an issue for us. Wash n dryer in the unit were extremely useful. The view and the sounds of waves crashing were amazing. I was pleasantly surprised the they had a small first aid kit that came in handy. This unit was well stocked with towels, TP, ironing board and iron, soap for dishes and laundry. There is also a lot within walking distance: food trucks/restaurants, coffee shops, souvenirs/shopping, ABC store, grocery store and bars. We would book this place again.

Breathtaking views! Very clean inside. Easy check in and out. Loved the location with walking distance to shops/food and park next door. Didn't need a/c in March. All appliances worked great. In room washer and dryer. Exterior building and garden area are a bit run down but the unit was updated and very nice, we were pleasantly surprised upon entering! Will definitely be staying again soon!

Location: great beach front property! There are elevators, which made it easy to get to the 4th floor. Great Fish Market across the street! The neighborhood is quiet for the most part. Only encountered issues on the last night with a group of boys/men hanging by the pool/beach area talking loudly at 1am.
Home: Very clean, no smells, provided plenty of towels, and extra toilet paper. The beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows and extra blanket and sheets if needed. Refrigerator worked properly and ice machine works well.
Room for improvement: I wish there were beach chairs or an umbrella for use during the stay. That was the only thing missing!
Would def stay here again!!

We absolutely loved our stay at this condo! It was extremely clean with incredible views. The only thing I would suggest is some cleaning supplies for the condo as there we none for light cleaning. Other than that everything was above and beyond our expectations! We will stay here again!

The views from the lanai were amazing. We ate all our breakfasts from the lanai and could easily spend hours watching for whales, dolphins, turtles, etc. Bring your binoculars! Great location - a short drive to shopping and dining in Kaanapali and Lahaina. The condo was clean, exactly as pictured, and easy to access. The checkout process was refreshingly minimal, compared to some others that we’ve experienced lately. The only (minor) cons: We could only find one spare bath towel, which seemed odd since we were there for 9 days. There were no light cleaning supplies (broom or windex) which would have been helpful to clean the glass tables/countertops and sweep up any sand that inevitably gets tracked in. The pool is not heated which is probably fine during most of the year but it was definitely too cold to get in during December.
Overall, we would definitely recommend this condo to friends and family and would stay here again!

I don't often leave a review, but this home was exactly what the wife and I needed to truly relax. Can't get better than falling asleep to the sound of the ocean and have easy access to the west side of Maui (highly recommend you rent a car of you stay here!). The Unit was big enough to easily fit additional couple and the pool/hot tub made for easy days without going anywhere.
This home will definitely be remembered and I hope to go back soon!

We are a family of 4 (includes a teen & toddler). This place was perfect for all of us! The snorkeling, playground next door, hot tub & heated pool. The pool is directly below the balcony so I wondered about that but the sound of the waves is louder and the pool closes at 930. I’m a super light sleeper and we kept the balcony doors all open, it was no issue at all. I asked my family their favorite thing and they said the view, and it’s spaciousness. It’s also nicely furnished. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back and almost didn’t want to leave a review because I wanted to keep it as a secret for myself 😂 we will have to travel to other islands next time but this place makes me want to come back every year!! I will recommend it to anybody traveling to Maui. Thanks for sharing this place!

Wonderful view from living room and from the master bedroom. Two balconies with plenty of seating. Very clean. No AC but we kept the sliding doors open at night. We could hear the ocean. The back bedroom had some noise from the road, parking lot and walkway but it wasn’t too bad. The master had some noise from the pool below at night and one night from the park next door. Overall, we found it to be a comfortable home base for our outings. Short drive to Whalers Village, Lahaina and other destinations. We snorkeled right outside of the condo a few times. The condo had beach towels, one chair and an umbrella. Grocery store, some restaurants and food trucks nearby. We would stay again.

This is our 2nd time in this condo and it fits our family well. It is large than you will find in most condos on the island, clean and well appointed. The view for whale watching is amazing.
Please be aware the hot tub and pool are directly below, as well as a local park right next door so the noise can be a bit, but nothing too bad. The pool/hot tub close at 9:30p and the park is only a bit loud on weekend nights. At least the locals play good music for their parties and such. :)
There is no beach but decent beginner snorkeling right out front. Rentals right across the street for gear. Take a quick drive up to Kapalua and eat at Miso Phat Sushi. Delicious and Fresh. Hike the Village and Coastal Trails at Kapalua.
A great location to get away from it all.

The condo was clean, cozy and comfortable. It had everything that we needed along with a few extras like laundry soap and coffee. With our family of four, it was the best little home away from home. The balconies off the living room and master bedroom were exceptional with a view of Molokai in the distance. Very picturesque.

The view from the two balconies that are off the living room and master bedroom was exceptional. Saw turtles one day and the spout from a whale the next day. Everything we needed along with unexpected perks like laundry soap to coffee in the morning was greatly appreciated. Thanks, Vacasa for a great vacation.

You just can't beat the view! Loved staying here. It's nicely updated, comfy beds, well equipped, and did I mention the view! Easy access to everything without the crowds of the resorts. There's no beach right out front, so not a great choice if you want to walk out your door and be on the sand. We loved watching the rainbows and sunsets over Lanai and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. Check in/out were super easy. A great place to relax and take in that Aloha spirit! Mahalo!!

This property is a great condo for families and couples. It has space, swimming pool, tide pools, swimming between the reefs and location next to a beach park. The condo is well appointed and well maintained. The location is perfect for driving up the coast to Napili, Kapalua and Honolua for snorkeling. We saw turtles every day. The farmer's market in MWF 7-11 across the street. Get to know the owner's of the shops across the street as well. They are warm and friendly Hawaiians. Rent your snorkle gear at Boss Frog's and take their boat trip to Molokini. Get a museum passport at the Baldwin Home in Lahaina and tour the island museums if like history. Also, stop into the Lahaina Heritage Museum and talk to resident historian who is very knowledgeable. Recommend Aloha Mixed Plate for a wonderful ocean seating and excellent food. The condo has both sunrise and sunset from the two lanais. I would stay here again because it is quiet, private, centrally located and this condo in particular is nicely decorated and modern. Excellent property.

Also, park next door for lots of sand play. Rent your gear for a week at Boss Frogs across the street and they throw in a boat snorkeling trip to Molokini. Farmer's Market Maui store is there too. They have an open market MWF 7-11am, great for fresh produce. Latino market next door has great service also. The condo is exactly as they stated. It is wonderful! It is well appointed and is a well maintained ( pool is wonderful too). The property itself is a gem because it is private and has beautiful mature landscape. We also enjoyed snorkeling all the beaches north Napili, Kapalua, Honolou Bay and of course south to Black Rock. Lahania is very close for lots of shopping, great museums and local shops. The real Hawaiians are very warm and friendly. Get to know some at the museums and you will have a real understanding of the history and culture of the place. Highly recommend this unit and property.

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay! The condo was exactly like the photos. Very modern and clean. The view of the ocean was amazing from both decks. We spent every afternoon enjoying the oceanfront, snorkeling and turtle watching. We saw so many that my husband named it Turtle Highway. We would definitely stay again.

Pros: Spacious and clean co do with full kitchen! Awesome ocean views! Short drive to front street and Lahaina Habor for shopping, activities, beaches and restaurants! Great wood oven pizza stand and food trucks within walking distance too!
Cons: Small pool and not much of a beach. HOWEVER!!!! low tide offers some good protected swimming to see schools of fish and turtles. Also great for kids to explore the rocks to see crabs and sea cucumbers in their natural environment. There are plenty of public larger beaches within walking or driving distance.

The condo was perfect! It was beautifully decorated, comfortable and quiet. The crash of the waves was the only sound we could hear. It was our kids first time to Maui and they loved the pool and the reef. We even saw a turtle swimming by several times. We can’t wait to go back again!

Such a nice surprise having coffee when we arrived and not having to run out & buy the little things like dish & laundry detergent made our vacation so much more relaxing. Although there isn't much of a beach in front of the condo the lawn area is very nice & equipped with chairs to lay in the sun. There is a beach next door that we did not have time to venture over to, that I believe is public. It's a good idea to bring water shoes because like many of the beaches in Maui there is a rocky reef that you have to cross over to go into the water. But I'm told that it is covered with sand during most of the year. Also instructions on how to work the TV would be helpful for those of us non tecky peeps:) All in all the place is beautifully decorated & I would not hesitate to recommend it to family & friends.

We came here on a family vacation and never wanted to leave. The condo was spotless when we arrived and felt like home from the beginning. We spent every night on the balcony deck watching the sunsets. The pool was never busy, we felt like we had the whole complex to ourselves!
There is an awesome local joint right across the street from the condo called Okazuya & Deli Honokowai. I would suggest getting it as take out and going back to the condo and watching the sunset on the lanai. It was amazing! Food was absolutely delicious.
There was not much of a beach when were there due to high tide but it made for great turtle and fish watching right in our backyard! The waves were calm so we were able to get in and swim, no problem. We enjoyed the grass area that sat above the beach, that was prepped with lounge chairs.
Overall, we had an amazing trip and would recommend this room to everyone!

My husband and I with our two daughters stayed here for 8 days the end of May to the 6th of June. I really liked the location because it was close to everything but far enough from the crowds. In 10-15 minutes we were in Lahaina, ate at Fridas restaurant which was excellent. My daughter would run each morning from the condo to Whalers Village on a safe path. Convenient Farmers market across the street with vegetarian and vegan groceries. There were snorkel and rental shops right across the street. Beautiful view, nicely appointed furnishings, very comfortable with good internet. Would definitely recommend this location!

So glad we didn't do a hotel. I would book this room again in a heartbeat! Was Leary bc my in laws booked a different room and it wasn't updated or as clean but let me tell u this is the room to book! Spacious! Location centralized to everything in maui! We loved it!!!!! I can't say enough of how happy we were w this reservation.

This unit was very well maintained and has been renovated to keep up with time. Well-appointed to handle six adult guests. We were most happy with the unit, and we found the people we dealt with from Vacasa to be very friendly and helpful. Only suggestion with regard to this unit or any other handled by Vacasa, is that the guests should be told that there are no on-site Vacasa staff available in the complex, and that the only contact is via email or phone. This unit satisfied all our requirements and we were very happy with it.

Maybe because we were too busy enjoying everything Paki Maui and the local area has to offer. On site kids loved wading and looking for sea creatures at low tide and the pool. I loved convenience of grill area (used without wait 3x). Compared to LA everything is so close and ENJOYABLE to drive to. Have to have breakfast at the Gazebo (get there before it opens at 7 or wait for a long time). Kids loved neighboring Nipili beach for both waves and snorkeling, went 3x. Farmers market right across street on M, W, F. Best part though, is, of course, falling asleep to crashing waves. Can't wait to go back.

CONDO HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED, EXCEPT AC. BUT THE EVENINGS COOLED OFF ENOUGH FROM THE OCEAN BREEZE THAT MADE IT COMFORTABLE THROUGHOUT THE CONDO. THE POOL WAS ALWAYS WELL KEPT. We love it and are coming back next year! The condo is amazing! we enjoy drinking coffee on the lanai in the morning, watching the turtles, and soaking in the view. Sunsets are spectacular! Maui is a very special place for us and an essential recharge before getting back into the grind of the school year. Thank you for sharing your condo with us!

This was our best vacation ever and a big part of it was the beautiful condo with stunning views. Waking up and falling to sleep with the sound of the ways was so tranquil. The condo had everything we needed and the beach out front was perfect for a little stroll or snorkeling once you got past the reef. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!

My husband and 2 kids stayed for 1 week at Paki Maui - Unit 423. This unit was wonderful! We appreciated the personal touches like coffee, beach towels, shampoo, soaps, and a washer/dryer. The beds were very comfortable. The view from the lanai off the living room was amazing and the master bedroom has another lanai, so sleeping with the screen doors open and listening to the ocean waves was great! The beach had friendly turtles that visited every day and we enjoyed snorkeling there too. Awesome experience!

We had an amazing vacation and one of the best parts was waking up to the beautiful view each morning and falling asleep to the waves each night. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. This was our best family vacation to date. We will be back!

This was our first time visiting Hawaii. My husband and I celebrated our 30th Anniversary here with our two children, who are in their 1st and 2nd year of college. We were very comfortable here and truly appreciated the extras; great cooking supplies, towels and even soaps and lotions! Two Bedroom with two oceanfront lanais! Two couples shared your home and enjoyed it very much! We could walk to the beach out front of the complex or walk 2 blocks and get on the beach walk to Whaler's village etc. the beach out front is protected by 2 rocky formations and at low tide young children were safe to play in the shallow protected ocean. It was a great location and the farmers market across the street was a hit for our vegetarian friends. Everything was provided in the condo and everything worked. We would stay there again!

Watching the whales from the lanai, and the gorgeous evening sunsets was everything we anticipated. The beach next door was great; even found a sea turtle basking in the sun. The location on Maui is great. So many little shops and restaurants within walking distance. We especilally enjoyed Bad Ass Coffee and the Farmer's Market. We will have such nice memeories of our stay. We will miss the sights and sounds of the surf. The condo is very well stocked with everything we needed. The only thing to mention is possibly coffee pot replacement. The coffee does not seem hot. Bad Ass Coffee came in handy!

We enjoyed every bit of the facilities; beautiful kitchen and all the little things you so thoughtfully have provided. It was very calming to sleep and wake up to the sound of the waves.I came here with my two sisters. We had such a great time here; enjoyed the water, views, and perfect home away from home. This is my first visit and it is so hard to leave. This was such a great holiday. Of course the weather and beauty of Hawaii is truly perfect. Your home made it even better. Our little boy was so impressed the first night and said this is the best place we could've ever stayed! My husband and I felt the same way after our week long visit. We were so grateful for the fully stocked kitchen and all the laundry soap, beach towels, etc. The views and sunsets were simply amazing. Access to the turtles and beach was the highlight of our vacation. We are planning our next visit and hope to come back to your wonderful Ohana Condo. Really enjoyed sitting on the balcony, lying in the Master Bed, or sitting on the couch or at the kitchen table. God's beautiful creation. Our first time to Maui and we plan to come back. We loved snorkeling with the sea turtles and renting motor scooters to check out the island. Enjoyed shaved Ice at Java Jazz daily. Great times, great memories, great vacation!

This condo and the entire experience were the best! We have rented from VRBO before but I have to say this beat them all. First of all the condo is as beautiful as the pictures and the amenities are top notch, what you do not see are all the extras. I felt like we were staying in a hotel, there was coffee, creamers, sugar, toilet paper and paper towels galore (most VRBO's have just a minimum) There was laundry soap and dryer sheets, plenty of trash can liners, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion etc..... From my experience you have a few of those but not all.
The property management company is amazing to work with, from start to finish. They returned emails and phone calls promptly and with much aloha and professionalism. They even found a beach towel we left in the unit after vacating that belonged to another unit and had it for us.
The owners must be very nice people because when I first contacted them about our dates I was told they were going to be there at that time themselves. I explained this was a vow renewal trip and there were 14 of us staying in different units and that theirs would be perfect for my daughter and family. The owners actually re arranged their trip so we could rent their unit.
The unit itself was EXTREMELY clean and of course very nicely appointed. Paki Maui is a very nice complex, well maintained. With 14 of us spread out in 5 condo's this was the perfect spot for a family gathering. We grilled, watched many sunsets and swam right out front. You have to time when you swim, but in the morning it was like our own private swimming pool because of the reefs. Of course we saw lots of sea life right out front including many turtles and even in late April we saw whales.

Wow...what a gem . The condo was perfect. Well appointed, great layout and the view ! Well the view is spectacular. To have a Lanai with a 300 degree panoramic view of the ocean and the two islands of Lanai and Molokai is amazing. The suite is very comfortable and has everything one would need !

We arrived at this condo mid week at the end of July. The area looked very quaint, nice little beach town. The complex looked a little dated when we pulled into the parking lot and we got a little nervous but we were very excited to be in Maui and see our home for the next week. We were on the top floor of the complex and as soon as we walked in our jaws dropped from the incredible view. Both our lanai's had the most amazing view of the Pacific and the island across the way. We were steps from the entrance to the ocean. We turtle watched almost every night and spotted and swam with them right below the condo. The accommodations were also amazing. The condo has been nicely updated with a beautiful kitchen fully appointed and updated bathrooms with tile and granite. There were many little extras that we appreciated since we were traveling with children and grandparents. The owners were so nice and had the condo stocked with laundry soap, beach towels, a snorkel set, games, shampoos and soaps. Like a hotel only better! The great thing about this condo as well was the owners had also installed standing fans in every room. Since most places in Maui do not have air conditioning this was a lovely addition when the winds died down and there was no breeze. The pool was also really nice to have on the property. Our little boy loved being able to swim right next to the ocean! It is right below the unit so his grandma could see him if she didn't want to go with us to the pool. We will definitely be back to this condo, we loved it!

We are sad to leave paradise tomorrow and return to snow, but feel blessed to have stayed in your home. This trip was a 15 year anniversary celebration and will be unforgettable. We enjoyed the mountain top sunrise, road to Hana, shopping, whales, turtles, dolphins and shave ice. Many have told us this will not be our last trip to Maui and they are right. We will be back.

What an unbelieveable vacation we've had! We've spent the last 10 days in your amazing condo ~ Everything was perfect!! From the fully stocked kitchen, updated bathrooms and cabinet space to the large glass table for games to the countless hours spent on the lanai ~ everything was perfect! A few tips to Maui newcomers: we lost count of the number of rainbows, turtles and whales (from afar) from the lanai ~ enjoy! For the rainy days, head south to Lahaina and beyond; it seems to stay drier there. If you stay in and don't feel like cooking, Pizza Paradiso, in the Times Market Shopping center, was delish! Breakfast a few doors down at the Kaanapali Shores has been a go to place for us for years. Mac nut pancakes and the Morning Joy are also delish! On you way south, past Lahaina in Olowalu, next to the General Store is Leoda's~ the pies can't be missed (chocolate, mac nut, banana cream, even apple!), our whole family loved them all! You can never go wrong eating lunch and dinner at the Hula Grill in Kaanapali; even it's Barefoot Bar (less expensive) has good food and entertainment. A drive 20 min. north of there toward and to the Blowhole makes for a fun drive and amazing views ~ but don't get too close to the cliffs! Snorkeling at Black Rock in Kaanapali. Better yet, the walk from here south toward the public beach in between the Embassy Suites Honua Kai has a nice boardwalk/beach walk all the way down to the northside of Black Rock. Or just do absolutely nothing:-) Mahalo for everything ~ we'll definitely be back!

This is our first time on Maui and it will be hard to go home. We're thinking of celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary here in 2015. Would love to stay in your lovely condo again. You have truly made it feel like home away from home. Thank you for providing us with a home away from home. Everything was perfect! The condo is exactly as described on the site. We loved the decor and the view was breathtaking! As stated in other reviews...we enjoyed watching sea turtles everyday just steps away from the condo. I really enjoy the small touches such as providing coffee, filters, salt, pepper, shampoo, beach towels, etc. It was really nice to have those amenities after a long day of travel. My only suggestion would be room darkening drapes in the guest bedroom to block the outside lights (that are on all night) from shining in the windows. This was our first time visiting Maui and our first time using this site. Everything was smooth from start to finish and everyone was very friendly. We would definitely recommend this location for your next visit to Maui. Mahalo Nui Loa

We have felt right at home here and have felt like Kings in a palace. Everything about Maui makes you want to be on vacation forever. T he sound of the ocean waves, the warmth of the ocean breeze, the birds, the fish, the turtles- everything was perfect. Every evening it is our tradition here to go out and watch the sunset...WOW - simply amazing! We have even been blessed with the tiniest gecko ever! About the size of a cricket with huge eyes. We named him Alfie. He is only out at night, so don't step on him. Thanks again for the wonderful stay.
Tonight ends the sixth terrific visit to Hawaii for my wonderful daughter and me.

Sleeping and waking to the sound of the surf was fabulous!! Thank you for obtaining an I-Pod dock. We were able to listen to traditional Hawaiian music every sunset. Love the tile floors- cool and clean. We shall return. Mala and Merriman's were our two favorite places to eat this vacation. Thank you for letting us rent your lovely Maui condo.

Each morning we saw whales from the lanai and got a photo of one breaching. The Green Sea Turtles were an added bonus!! Your home is very modern, clean and very comfortable. We couldn't believe how well the kitchen was stocked with everyday household items, right down to the smallest details. We called 423 our home for 12 days and will miss being here. Best wishes, aloha

The best one we have had after 4 visits to Maui. The decor is beautiful! Being a nature lover, I enjoyed your flower/leaf patterns. Thanks again for letting us stay in your beautiful condo!! Thank you for allowing us to share your beautiful home! Everything was perfect. The pool, grounds and beach were great and the staff friendly and helpful. We spent hours on the lanai whale watching and they, in turn, put on quite a show. We're already planning our next trip back and hope you'll allow us to share your home again. Thanks!
