We had a wonderful stay in the condo thanks to Jim the owner and thanks to prior visitors, who I think left some of the supplies. We added to them. 12-15 min walk to the Grand Hyatt and Shipwreck Beach on oceanside path, depending on how far you want to go. Amazing sunrises seen from the path and beach around 7:15AM. Short drive to local eateries, shopping and Poipu beach, where there is family friendly snorkeling.

A bump in the road for the owner Jim as his unit needed work due to sudden water damage. He was wonderful communicator. He kept us update and found us another unit to rent. Poipu Sands is a great location. The pool was fabulous. Even with all the construction around us our stay very nice. We would rent this unit again in the future. What a beautiful view!

My husband and I had a delightful stay at Jim's condo in Poipu. The unit was even better than the pictures! The view of shipwreck beach is amazing and we loved waking up to watch the sunrise every morning, and enjoying our evening meals on the lanai. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we could need, including high quality cookware. The bed was very comfortable. We actually enjoyed the lack of AC as the trade winds were more than adequate to make the unit comfortable and we were able to enjoy time outside listening to the ocean rather than the neighbor's AC unit. The unit had everything we could need for enjoying the beach including towels, chairs and a little cooler.

We came to enjoy a paradise vacation to celebrate our 40th anniversary. This condo looks exactly like the pictures! Don't hesitate to stay here. Beautiful condo with beautiful views of the ocean and Shipwreck Beach from the lanai. A 10 minute walk to Poipu Beach for sea turtles and monk seals and walkable to a couple of restaurants. Easy check in/out process. While not related to this condo, a MUST DO while on the island is a doors off helicopter tour of the island. Worth every penny!

First of all, the property was larger than I had expected and would be very comfortable for 4 people. The place was fresh and spotless. The view out the front was postcard perfect. The common facilities, (Pool and Gas Grills) were also top notch, and were carefully cleaned by the Condominium staff everyday. The nicest surprise was how complete the kitchen and cooking equipment was. I have been to "high end" places many times where there were just 4 of each kind of dish, glass, cup and eating utensil. This place was awesome in that it had about two complete sets of everything.
It was also nice that there were starter sets of dishwasher and laundry detergents there. we eventually ran out and added more to the cause for the next person.
There is also great access to trails that run down the beach. A nice Tennis Court that was almost always available too. I would seek this specific place out if I come to the the south side of Kauai again.

We had a great time staying at this beautiful condo. Perfect location, with a quick walk down to Shipwreck Beach. BBQ’s on site, which was great with the ocean views.
Condo was super clean. Had everything you would need, to include washer and dryer. Host was even nice enough to leave a couple laundry pods. Jim was great to work with. We love Poipu Sands, and this is one of the best condos we’ve stayed in.

This property was awesome! It had a great view of Shipwreck beach, which is only a 5 minute walk away. It’s very spacious and clean. They provide chairs, a cooler and beach toys.
A washer and dryer is located right inside the room which was very useful.
The pool is a short walk from the room and very nice to relax by.

Kauai is one of my husband and my favorite islands in Hawaii to visit, and Poipu Sands is our "go-to" place to stay. This was the first time staying at this condo and I must say it was truly a delight. The location of this unit at Poipu Sands offers one of the best views of beautiful Shipwreck Beach from your lanai, in a well-manicured garden setting. The condo is very clean and well maintained throughout. Though we enjoy dining out at the many wonderful restaurants in the area, you will find an updated and well-equipped kitchen to create your own in-house meals. Jim is a super guy to deal with and is quick to respond to any questions or needs you may have. We look forward to a return visit!

The condo has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Especially appreciate the washer/dryer since the trade winds didn’t cooperate with us and it was very humid the week we stayed. The portable fans weren’t working but Jim was kind enough to have us buy one that he will reimburse us for.
The only drawback for me (but not my husband) is that there is some street noise (fortunately not too late at night or too early in the morning) and the sidewalk is right outside the bedroom windows which stay open all the time. Made me uncomfortable at first but I got used to it.
Great location for activities around the island. The walk to Shipwreck beach is about 10-15 min but it’s not a great beach for swimming . Poipu beach is a short drive away

*3 Minute drive to the shopping village which has restaruants, coffee and shopping

*Quick Drive to Koloa Town where they have great food trucks and a must try fish market
The bedding for the pull out couch could use an update. Holes and some stains, but becuase its a 1 bedroom im sure it rarely gets used. Was perfect for our toddler. They also only supply 2 beach towels so more should be available since it is marketed as a condo that sleeps 4. (we had to go purchase more once we arrived)
I highly reccomend this condo when visiting Kauai. You wont be dissapointed.

The place was great. The location was great. You could see the beach from our patio, a little ways off but not so far that you couldn’t walk it in just a couple of minutes. The condo was very clean very well stocked with cooking, eating, And leftover containers. The beach was really pretty had a great 6 mile walk along the beach 3 miles out and 3 miles back. The host, Jim, was very responsive. Every time I emailed him which was about three times, he responded within hours or the very next day if I happen to email him late in the day. I would highly recommend the place!

We've stayed in rental places many times throughout the years and this is one of the best experience. The property is very clean and instructions are very clear. I really like the washer and dryer inside the condo and really appreciated that even the detergent was provided. That was not expected. With both sides window open, it is very comfortable and the lovely breezee was my favorite part. Even in July AC was not necessary. The one and half bathroom was also very good ~ made our three-people stay very pleasant.

We were both impressed with how clean and well kept the condo is. It is very well suited for a couple. The kitchen has everything you need to cook your own meals, there were plenty of towels for the beach and bathrooms, and there was lots of space to spread out. We liked that there were beach chairs and an umbrella to use at the beach. Poipu Sands is in a great location near nice beaches and restaurants. There are lots of walking trails nearby as well. We walked to the Grand Hyatt a couple times for breakfast and in the evening to watch the moonrise.

This condo was absolutely perfect for my husband and I. So clean and comfortable. It has a nice bathroom (and a half) with tons of counter space. Phenomenal location - I walked to Poipu Beach / Pukka Dogs / the Hyatt / the golf course / the trails with absolute ease. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets from the patio. Everything in the condo worked perfectly. They were also happy to accommodate a later check out since our flight is a red-eye home! We weren't going to be in the condo most of the time and wanted something cute, simple and clean.

Let's get this out of the way first. There are a few things that need some attention - namely the oven. There were some things we were interested in cooking that we couldn't because the over wasn't working. Ultimately, that's wasn't really a big deal and we just shifted to things that could be cooked on the stove.
Beyond that, Jim's condo was fantastic. The beach chairs, cooler, etc. made packing lunch for at the beach a breeze. There's no AC but even with the high being in the 80's all week, the wind blowing through and the fans made it more than comfortable.
The outside of the building was being painted but they were already done with this unit. Only once was their gear in our was so we had to walk around the building to get to the parking lot. Not a big deal.
The sunrise every morning was over Shipwreck Beach and it was a short walk to the Makahuena Light for amazing sunsets. Both amazing.

Five stars all around. I booked our annual vacation at the Grand Hyatt next door and later decided to bring my elderly mother along. We booked this unit for her and it couldn't have worked out any better. The condo complex is directly next door to the Grand Hyatt so it is only about a 4 minute walk to one of the best beaches in Poipu. It's also only about a 10 minute stroll to Poipu beach. Shopping is a 3 minute drive down the road for quick items. The unit was spacious and well kept. The view from the patio is beautiful. We will definitely plan to book again!

I booked this condo for my mother in law to be close to my family during a vacation where we would be staying at the Hyatt. My father in law ended up coming and staying there as well.
They both loved the unit and their time in Poipu.
I had read reviews about the lack of AC and road noise. My in laws had no such issues. Since it was nearing the end of winter it was not for our stay but the islands are all about the winds anyway. They found it to be both quiet and relaxing staying there.
The unit had everything needed. They loved the view, the open green space off the Lanai, the access to greenway, and the short walk to shipwreck beach and the Hyatt. They also loved location in Poipu.
We vacation here often and we will be back to this lovely little gem.

This tasteful condo was big, sparkly clean, and everything was very comfortable. I appreciated the clean tile floors throughout.
The spacious grounds and pool area were always kept in excellent condition.
The long unobstructed views of the lawns, pool, and green space between our lanai and the beach and waves was soothing. I appreciated no views of cars or large resort buildings in our unit's views.
The advantage of this first floor unit is the private lanai that opens onto a private lawn space. All foot paths through the greenbelt are a comfortable distance away from the lanai so you can wave from a distance but still have plenty of privacy.
The adjacent road was actually very convenient for us to hop on our rented bikes and head along several beaches and resorts and make stops along the way.
The trade winds were great and everything worked as desired.
We slept very well with the top of the blinds preset for privacy, and the lower windows open.
There is enough foliage near the windows, plus a half wall along our lower path that separates our building from the road and the street level sidewalk.
There was rarely foot traffic except gardener days, and minimal vehicles on the road.
Jim was a pleasure to do business with and met all of our needs.

We really enjoyed our time in Kauai and our stay at Poipu Sands! Everything was just as it was represented in the listing and didnt disappoint. Only bummer as that the wireless router had reverted to factory settings prior to our stay and was not an option on any of our 5 devices. Worked on a bit of troubleshooting with Jim and then decided to hot spot thru our phones and enjoy being "less accessible". A small issue in the overall scheme of things. Would definitiely rent here on our next trip to Kauai.

Loved this condo! It's located right next to the Grand Hyatt so i'ts a 5 min walk to get a mai tai in a plastic cup and sip it at the beach. We have stayed at the hotel many times but I love having a kitchen and this was so perfect. The condo has a very nice layout and the trade winds are so much nicer than a noisy air conditioner you get at the hotel. The grounds are inpeccably kept. Check out the Beach House for sunsets and dinner and Makai sushi for poke bowls and rolls..YUM!

It was more than we expected. The listing said partial ocean view but it was more than partial. You could hear the ocean when you were sitting out on the patio.
It was the hot time of the year so air conditioning would have been a plus.

We enjoyed our stay in this nicely equipped condo. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed several meals on the lanai. Good location in Poipu. The only draw back was that both the bathroom and bedroom are right next to the sidewalk and the road. Because of the need to keep the blinds at half open position there where many times that these rooms lacked privacy.

The visit was great, and Poipu Sands is a perfect location on the south shore.
Nestled between the two commercial monsters (Hyatt & Points of Poipu), Poipu Sands is a super quiet, relaxing property. You've got everything you need (peace and quiet, pool, BBQ, well maintained grounds), without the chaos the neighboring properties have.
The condo is perfect for two people, the building is elevated on the property so you've got a great view of the grounds, and beach (from afar). If you have the windows open you'll hear the waves crashing on the beach. We spent a lot of time on the back patio relaxing, listening to the waves (and not listening to people).
It's an easy 10 minute walk to Shipwrecks Beach (in front of the Hyatt), whether you're headed to the beach, or up the cliff for hiking.
Shipwrecks had great waves all week (I go to relax and surf), needless to say I surfed everyday the entire week.
You can rent any size or shape surfboard at the shop next to Bennecke's (3-4 minute drive) for $90 a week, much better than doing the airport board drag (plus the $150 each way for the board).
The condo had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, again, if you open the windows on the front and back of the condo, the ocean breeze usually blows straight through the place making it comfortable.
If you're into the big commercial, maid service environment, this isn't for you, this condo is for those who want to come to Kauai, relax, and get away from the hustle, and bustle of tourism. You can get all that driving around the island, but coming back to Poipu Sands is finding peace.
September is a great time to go, we might have seen 15-20 people (at different times) in the entire six building complex during our entire stay, talk about peace of mind :)

The place had everything we needed for our 8 day stay. Loved that we cooked almost all of our meals here. Was worried about not having air conditioning but we were never uncomfortable as there was plenty of airflow and fans. The view of the sunrises every morning from the lanai was gorgeous! Close to shopping beaches and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

My husband and I are so thankful to this couple for renting their condo to us, as we had the time of our lives. We have been to Kauai several times and have always been fortunate with our stays, but this is one of our favorites.
The location was fantastic, as we could easily walk to Shipwreck Beach at the Hyatt or Brennecke Beach. Our view from the lanai was phenomenal, and our only problem was deciding each morning when to pull ourselves away from it so we could explore the island! We loved that we had neighbors and at the same time plenty of privacy.
This place not only had the gorgeous view on the outside, but it was updated nicely on the inside as well. The interior was simple and comfortable, and the kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with everything we needed.
Jim and Teresa have clearly taken care to prepare their condo for an enjoyable stay. We only hope no one reads their great reviews so that we can go back anytime! 😉

We absolutely loved our stay at Poipu Sands! The Condo was amazing, complete with a beautiful view of the beach. Centrally located, we were able to explore most of the island within 20 minutes; including, beaches, hiking trails, waterfalls, shopping, and dining. We will definitely be booking this Condo again!!!

We visited Kauai for our wedding. This condo is a gem. It has a great view from the lanai where we spent a lot of mornings and evenings. The view of shipwreck beach (where we were married) and the ocean is just what we wanted.
This condo is located close to several restaurants and right next door to the Hyatt. You can even walk to the beach if you don’t mind a little bit of exercise.
The only negatives were the faulty bedroom ceiling light/fan/remote (we believe it just needed a special battery which was not provided) and the coffee pot (would barely brew 1 cup). Aside from this, the condo had everything we needed. Jim is easy to reach and replies promptly.
We would stay here again for sure.

My wife and I stayed here for 9 days and enjoyed the condo. The location as mentioned in other reviews is great. The view of the beach is wonderful. Upon arrival it was very clean and had all the amenities that we needed to enjoy our stay. Would I stay there again? Absolutely! Communication with the owner was easy and they always replied if I had a question. I ended up accidentally taking the pool keys home with me and they were subsequently lost by UPS during transit. Jim and Sheila were very easy to deal and reasonable based upon the keys being lost and I was very thankful for that.
The property was great! Very spacious for a one bedroom, and the whole complex was great as well!

We had a wonderful time at this condo in Poipu! The place exceeded our expectations for a one bedroom condo. It was nice and spacious, and even had plenty of room to set up our toddler’s travel crib in the bedroom. The king bed was comfy and the large bathtub/shower had good pressure and worked great for bathtime for our little man. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and we loved that there were beach chairs in the closet for our use. Having a nice washer & dryer was a life saver with our toddler! The pool area was also very nice, and the pool was plenty warm and quite large! We loved how close the condo was to the Hyatt and Shipwrecks beach, which made for a lovely morning walk along the water to get our coffee. It was also walking distance (about 15 mins) from Poipu beach (although we chose to drive with all our stuff) which is an amazing beach for all ages. We saw both sea turtles and monk seals there! We had absolutely no complaints about this condo and would recommend it to everyone! The owner even went above and beyond when we accidently left an iPad behind (oops!) and it was mailed to us and back in our hands within a week. We can’t wait for our next trip to Kauai, and will definitely be returning to this unit at Poipu Sands!

This is a great property! The condo is close to the Hyatt, ocean and amenities. There is a gym at the Hyatt resort for those wanting to work out when in Kauai (3, 5 and 10 day passes are available for purchase at the spa).
The condo itself is very well appointed. TV, great kitchen, washer and dryer, two washrooms and large living and dining areas. It's clean and quiet. The pool is 50 yards from the patio door.
Restaurants and shopping are about 5 minutes drive away. There is free parking 20 yards from the front door.
I would highly recommend Jim's place for your trip to Kauai. I will be staying there again on my next trip to Kauai.

We arrived to find a lovely, well decorated condo with a view that was so tranquil from most of the rooms and the lanai. The high end finishes made you feel very pampered as you prepared dinner or breakfast. The area is very peaceful and a great place to recharge. I loved having coffee in the morning watching the sun over the ocean and a glass of wine in the evening watching the palm trees sway and listening to the waves. It was a very enjoyable experience. The 9 days we spent at this condo were so relaxing! It is very spacious. And we love being on the ground floor and just sitting and looking out at the beachview and the palm trees around the pool. Even though its abit of a walk from Shipwreck's beach you can still hear the waves most days and nights. Kitchen has everything you need. It was great having 1 1/2 bathrooms. Was a short drive to restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend this place to anyone. And this area also. We will be back.

Location couldn't be better with walking trails so close. Unit has great bathroom counter space and two sinks to give lots of room. Kitchen needs a new wine opener and tub needs shower mat as base is slippery. Furniture quite comfortable. Good cross breezes so didn't miss air conditioning. Beautiful condo with all the amenities ( apart from a teapot for this Brit). The grounds are well kept and the BBQ and pool area always clean.
A perfect view of Shipwreck Beach and the mornings and evenings are a great way to chill out and just watch.
The bedroom is next to the road, so can a little noise from traffic and people walking by. But it wouldn't stop me staying there again or recommending the condo to others.

I have stayed on this island several times and now that we have stayed in this condo, I don't think I could ever stay anywhere else! The condo itself is stunning. Completely remodeled and very spacious. The view from the condo is breathtaking and the poipu location is premium. The beach is a short walk away, as well as some fabulous hikes. We very much enjoyed our stay at this Poipu Sands unit. We found it clean and comfortable and nicely appointed. Proximity to the beach is a plus as is the view of Shipwreck Beach. The pools is large and had a large deep end, so rare to find now. Sitting on the lanai and watching and hearing the waves roll in makes for wonderful memories. Thanks for sharing your home.

My husband and I spent a week in the condo, to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. It was an absolutely perfect location for our needs. Beautiful view of shipwreck beach and the sunrise-loved having a 1st floor porch with easy access to the pool. The condo was very clean and well equipped. We stayed our last night on the island in a resort on the north shore, although it was a nice property, we could hear neighbors talking, which had not been the case at all in the condo. We were SO GLAD we had spent the week at the condo-only wish was that we could have stayed longer. It was so peaceful and well located on the island. Jim and Sheila communicated well through email. We definitely hope to return someday-it was a dream come true!

The accommodations were wonderful. The location is the best on Kauai. The lanai provided great views and outdoor comfort. The updated kitchen and utensils were very nice. The proximity to the Grand Hyatt resort, walking paths to multiple beaches, clifftop ocean vistas, the lovely and beautifully maintained grounds including the pool, tennis courts and BBQ grills, all added to the convenience and value. This was our third trip to Kauai and we never tire of enjoying the Poipu area and Shipwreck Beach in particular. It is easy to drive to the many other attractions to be found on Kauai, but it is great to be able to take a short walk to an assortment of places one can easily spend multiple days enjoying over and over. We think the Poipu Sands condo complex is the best situated of all the units we have looked at, online as well as in person. If you are looking for a comfortable, spacious, tastefully decorated one bedroom condominium, in a great location, with great views and within minutes walking distance to spectacular ocean beaches and cliffs, and owners who treat you like family, you've found the right property here. We highly recommend this unit, as is. It was a joy to stay there.

This was our first trip to Kauai and our first time renting through VRBO. We were not disappointed. In fact our entire experience exceeded our expectations. The condo was very nice, clean, well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the ocean view and the close proximity to the swimming pool. The description of the Condo on the VRBO website is right on point. The location of the condo on the south side was a perfect spot for us to tour of the entire island. If we are fortunate enough to return to Kauai again someday we will consider renting the condo again.

This unit is more than it advertises. As soon as we walked through the door, we could tell that this was a home away from home. Totally upgraded as advertised, and the personal touches that were added made us feel welcomed guests.
The view from the lanai is breathtaking of shipwreck beach. The grounds are well kept.
We ate in most of the nights. We used the grills by the pool, which are cleaned every night. The pool is a short walk from the lanai.
The location is close to shopping, beaches, restaurants, and steps away from the Grand Hyatt.
This location is our new home when we return to Kauai!

This unit is really lovely. The lanai has a beautiful view. I loved seeing the newlyweds getting photographed everynight at the resort right next to complex! We climbed the rocks all around the surrounding property, took a lovely walk to the beach every morning there are paved trails everywhere. One morning while snorkeling at Poipu beach I ended up right next to a pretty monk seal. She ended up staying with us for about 30 minutes. We stayed for 15 days and I was able to snorkel almost everyday, we walked everyday, went on 3 beautiful hikes, went on the funniest ATV TOUR and relaxed a lot! I cooked quite a bit and the kitchen had everything, the grill is literally 3 minutes away at the pool and situated very nicely. The bedroom is next to the road but honestly with ceiling fan on we were only slightly bothered by the road noise. The bathroom was lovely...really! I found a small local market in the old town Sueoka Store, they have everything in small sizes fresh veggies, fruit..just loved it. The family that run it have been around forever. I rented beach chairs and snorkeling gear from local family right around the corner at KIMOS--they were also wonderful, they have bikes and boards too. You can return items even when they are closed! I had one issue and was able to speak to the owner and he was able to assist very quickly. We have been to Maui 7 times this was our first trip to Kauai and it was beyond beautiful. Every restaurant we went to were recommended by previous visitors and they were all very good. Be sure to read the 2 journals were visitors have left thank you's there is a ton of information in them. Can't wait to return and feel very lucky to have found this unit. PS..we had no problems with sticky floors at all and we were able to keep a cool breeze running through the unit with no problem.

I stayed here with my husband and 10 month old son and this unit was exactly what we needed!
The playpen and highchair were very convenient, although it would have been useful to have a sheet for the playpen for hygienic reasons. We ended up using a larger sheet found in the linen closet and folded it to make it fit the playpen for our child to sleep in.
Suite was very well maintained and looked exactly like the photos. We used the kitchen quite often and it had pretty much everything we needed. The only things we felt were missing were steak knives, and a kettle to boil water for my morning tea (but there is a coffee maker for coffee drinkers). No big deal, we made do just fine.
We also used the BBQ to cook dinner one night. I read from a previous poster that the BBQ area is quite far, but I just want to point out that there are a couple of BBQ areas, one further, and one within the pool area, which is not too far from this unit.
I was a bit worried about comfort level since I am pretty heat sensitive and get rashes easily with too much humidity, but I slept very comfortably in this suite. We kept the windows open which allowed a very nice breeze through and helped keep the unit quite cool. There were also ceiling fans in both the living area and the bedroom (although I felt the one in the bedroom was not as strong), nonetheless, there were also 2 additional tower fans available for use that are stored in the bedroom closet.
There were a couple of hot nights where we used the tower fans in addition to the ceiling fan, but some cooler nights we didn't use anything except for the windows.
The suite was also well stocked with shampoo/soap/conditioner, towels, cooler (which was very convenient to take with us on the go), beach chairs, beach mats, etc. I also saw some snorkel gear, but didn't know this would be available and we already rented our own gear.
The floors did feel like there was a sticky residue to it as mentioned in another review, so I had to rinse the sticky film off my feet before going to bed. I felt the floor could use a very good hot water mop to get rid of the residue.
The location was great, with a nice view of Shipwreck beach and close drive to other Poipu beaches, restaurants and markets.
All in all, our stay was fantastic and we would definitely stay here again!

Very roomy condo with lanai and beautiful view. I was alone so didn't really cook, altho new oven was installed as I arrived.
It was quite warm every night and air conditioning would have been welcome. The fan in the bedroom was helpful.
Pool is huge and lovely. All the grounds are beautifully kept.

We stayed in this condo for 12 nights and it was Perfect.. Everything was very clean.. The grounds and pool are maintaned daily... The location is central... We especially loved watching the sun come up from the lanai..and seeing the ocean in the distance.. . Great nearby walkway... Condo was fairly quiet and private... Only request is better wine glasses!! We loved our stay here so much we have already reserved for next year!!!

We stayed in this condo from March 21 - April 1 2012. Let me sum up the visit in one word - AMAZING!!! I will give more details below.
The condo:
Located on the south shore in the Poipu area it is in a fabulous location. The south shore is very sunny, even on iffy days this area gets amazing sun in the afternoons. The condo is newly renovated, and super clean. The furniture is really comfortable. The kitchen comes with all the essentials, including a blender (for frosty smoothie drinks). There are 2 bathrooms and the master bath is HUGE. There is lots of counter space and the shower is VERY spacious. The view --- stunning. From the family room and kitchen and nook you have stunning views of the ocean and Shipwreck Beach. You also have a great view of the pool. The pool is quite big and there are lots of lounge chairs. We never had a problem getting 2 together. Down by the pool there are gas BBQ's. As a tip we brought walkie talkie so that we could communicate over the cooking hour. :) The pool is really close by. The condo has a TV with all the channels you could possibly want. Also there is WIFI. In the storage compartment outside there is everything that you would need for the beach. Oh, almost forgot, it comes with washer and dryer. So fabulous!!! The condo has many windows that open on a louvre system. The trade winds blow right through and keep the place cool. There is no AC.
Things to Check-Out:
We would definitely recommend a trip up to the north shore, in fact more than once. The beaches and scenery up there are breathtaking. For shopping there are some great shops in the Poipu area. Starbucks is a 5 minute drive from the condo. Also, there is a small grocery store that is a 5 min drive away from the condo. The island does have a Costco and Safeway -- these are a bit further away.
The boat cruise with Captain Andy up the Napali Coast was amazing. We saw turtles, dolphins and whales up close and personal. Make sure to book this early. Also, Beach House Restaurant was our favourite, and is great for the sunset view. We booked this before we left. Good thing we did. They fill in fast.
The Fern Grotto tour is worth it if you have not been before.
Nice to walk to Shipwreck Beach (5 min from condo).

We had a great time at Poipu Sands during our spring trip to Hawaii. The condo was clean with a nice layout and very family friendly. They had a pack and play and a high chair which made traveling with our one year old much easier. Would recommend it to friends.

Our stay at your condo was great! During our stay we went snorkeling, hiked back to a waterfall, took a helicopter ride and enjoyed the beach and pools right there in Poipu. On one of our walks we were fortunate enough to come across a monk seal sun bathing in front of the Hyatt!

Aloha! We had a wonderful, fabulous, awesome and relaxing time these past 9 days! We celebrated our 10th anniversary... and it was great. We went on a snorkeling cruise up the Napali Coast, spent some time at the Kipu Falls and explored all of the great beaches. The condo was great! The remodel was done in great taste. Great location... beaches, restaurants, sightseeing, golf, etc.
