Not enough superlatives to describe the location and setting of this place. Jaw dropping views of the mountains. A little peek of Hanalei Bay. See the ocean from the unit and as if that is not enough, for the pinch-me-I-may-dreaming view you just walk out your door, and literally across the street is a pedestrian view point with three benches overlooking the ocean and that incredible view of Bali Hai (Makana). The hardest part of staying in #33 is making yourself leave the beauty surrounding you to actually go somewhere and do something. Princeville Center and Foodland (great place for morning coffee and donuts to reward yourself for the work) made a wonderful 40 minute early walk. The St Regis is about a 5 minute walk. HBV #33 is a freestanding, 2 story unit, with lanais on both floors which look out and into the trees and mountains before you. We felt like we were staying in a tree house in the jungle from one view, and a beach house from the opposite view. There were just 2 of us staying there, but 4 could stay comfortably. We did quite a bit of cooking, and kitchen utensils etc were a bit of a this and that but worked out fine. Washing machine did some clanging but worked well. Some privacy issues with window coverings downstairs, which may have already been taken care of. Off street assigned parking spot a few steps away from unit was so handy (and also coveted by anyone driving to the viewpoint to see those terrific sunsets!) Don’t miss out on those early morning views of the mountains and the ocean. We had a wonderful stay and would go back in a heartbeat! Be careful–the whole Princeville/Hanalei/North Kauai area will keep drawing you back, and back, and…….
