We just got back from Kauai and our stay at PiliMai – it was an incredible stay in a lovely, comfortable condo. We were sad to go and would rent this unit again in a heartbeat.
While we didn’t play any golf, this unit is steps to the first tee.
There’s a taco restaurant here as well…but we didn’t try that, either. We did most of our own cooking in the condo’s great kitchen.
There’s a shopping center down the street. It’s walking distance – a little less than a mile. There are many great places to eat as well as a Starbucks.
We also subscribed to the optional Poipu Beach Athletic Club. We didn’t come here as much as we thought but it was a godsend our last day. We were out of the condo at 10 and our flight wasn’t until 4. So we chilled at the PBAC for the morning and lunch.
The nearest beach is not really walking distance unless you’re up for a hike.
If you’re into exploring the southern part of Kauai, nothing is really too far away – everything seems to take 20-30 minutes…even though it’s not that far. The Kauai pace is slow!
Overall, we could not recommend this unit more highly. It was clean, comfortable, well-appointed and relatively new. There were tons of supplies and we had no issues with anything on the property.
The only thing that was confusing were the TV’s – an Apple TV or a dedicated Roku unit with a streaming service might be a bit better setup…but who comes to Kauai to watch TV!
If you can get this place, take it. It’s awesome.
