We wanted to be able to fall asleep listening to the waves and be able to cook meals with the wonderful local foods. When we walked into the unit and saw both the interior and the view, all we could do was say “Oh my gosh!” over and over. The main lanai was mostly shaded all day, which allowed us to stay out and enjoy the waves without getting fried by the sun. The kitchen was gorgeous and full of everything we needed. The decor was lovely, with touches of Hawaiiana without being kitschy. We fell asleep each night listening to the crashing waves, and we were able to leap into the surf each day only a few steps from our unit. We noticed that the newer buildings are required to be set well back from the shore, which means that the sounds and sights of the surf are much further away. Being so close to the water was amazing. We are already planning our next visit!
