We loved our stay at Kapaa Sands 9 and would highly recommend the unit for a couple or solo traveler visiting Kauai. The apartment overlooks a beautiful, quiet beach that is great for swimming, lounging and surfing. Snorkeling is possible on the left side of the beach (in front of a neighboring resort) but there isn’t much to see. The beach is child friendly with rocks providing a break and creating a shallow wading pool directly in front of the unit. We also loved having Passion Bakery (try the malasadas!) and Scotty’s surf shop within a block of the place. The unit itself is a small studio but has everything you could need. There is no air conditioning but the fans and ocean breeze were enough to keep us cool. There are beach chairs, two towels, fins, umbrella, cooler, and clothes line provided and coin operated laundry on site. We loved our stay and will be back!
