My husband and I stayed here for a week celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. This studio was perfect in every way. We watched the sunrise and surfers from our deck because the ocean is actually just a few steps away. We discovered a delightful sheltered ocean “pool” for swimming just blocks away at Lydgate Park, and an amazing walking/jogging/biking path just north along the ocean. We saw whales spouting on our jog on this path the last morning we were there. We also explored both the Na Poli coast and Waimea canyon – Kapa’a is the perfect location if you want an easy drive anywhere on the island. The owner has a small cooler (with ice packs in the freezer), beach chairs, boogie boards and beach mats and towels so we were well-equipped when we went off on our adventures each day. The unit is beautifully decorated and always cool with the breeze from the ocean, and the location of the unit on the property could not be better. After seeing the huge condominium developments at Princeville – none of which have the ocean access we did – we couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else. We really didn’t want to leave!
