My husband and I came to Maui for two weeks in April for his birthday, and we chose to spend the first week in Wailea. This property [Wailea Ekolu Village 410] was absolutely wonderful and a perfect location for our first week.
The neighborhood is very quiet and serene… the views of the ocean, golf course, and surrounding gardens made for a very peaceful and restful time. We spent quite a bit of our day on the lanai just reading or having our meals outdoors. The property is very well-groomed with beautiful trees that attract many birds.
We were pleasantly surprised that there were no mosquitoes or other biting insects at all, even as we spent our evenings enjoying a drink on the lanai in the dark.
The unit itself is very comfortable and spacious with all of the amenities that we needed (including a desk to work, which we ended up not using, thankfully). Wifi was speedy and we got good cell reception as well.
