Hard to beat an oceanfront house to yourself. Listening to the waves crashing never gets old. Dramatic coastline to sit and enjoy. The house is big and very well equipped. It is in a quiet neighbourhood about 20 minutes from Hilo. There are some grocery stores closer than Hilo but not much for food in the immediate area. It is a good place to use as a base for exploring the Eastern part of the island. About 45 minutes to Volcanoes NP and about 1.5 hours to Waipi’o Valley. We enjoyed our stay.
