Molokai is not for every traveller but we love it for its laid back vibe and lack of commercialization even though it’s a half hour into the small town for groceries and grog. This is the second unit we’ve stayed in at this complex and preferred it for its updated furnishings, colourful local art, thoroughly equipped kitchen plus the beach chairs, swim fins and coolers. Due to a recent storm’s impact we didn’t travel as extensively around the island but did so last time, so we were content with the short walk to the beach, the sight of far-off whales, monk seals sleeping on the beach and afternoon time around the pool. Don’t overlook the small balcony off the bedroom that provides views towards the ocean. The main floor lanai is private due to foliage with relaxing wicker furniture. The coffee pot gave up during our stay but luckily there was a French Press in the cupboard we could use before the new replacement arrived a few days later. Property management people were easy and friendly to deal with.
