Do not cancel your travel plans due to the over-sensationalized hype of the volcano dangers. We stayed at this wonderful home during the very active volcano eruptions and had absolutely no problems to speak of. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the lanai, sunny skies, turtles feeding, and waves rolling in. This home has everything you need to enjoy your vacation in the Pahoa/Hilo area.
It was a short drive into Pahoa for dinners and about a 40 minute drive into Hilo. From Hilo it’s easy to get to all the waterfalls and activities along the coast & still make it back in time to watch the sun set.
If you want to get away from the hustle of the town and have a nice secluded stay, this house is for you! Melissa (the caretaker) was wonderful and helpful upon arrival! Thanks!
