Amazing views of the ocean from bedroom, lanai, and living room. Very spacious for a couple, large king size bed, and small stackable washer and dryer. Kitchen plates, cups, utensils, and pots/pans are all there for light to medium cooking. Appreciated the towels and beach towels as well. Unit is privately owned and appears recently renovated and clean upon arrival. Although property is next to the water, it still gets hot in Maui so we enjoyed the cool A/C inside. Property is as close as you can get to the ocean. Plenty of unassigned parking.
Downside is that area directly in front of property is very rocky and not suitable for swimming. You will need to walk south along the beach to find a more sandy beach area. There is a nice paved pathway setup from Mahana all the way down the other properties. Other properties down the path have more of a resort feel with hotel type restaurants and fancy pools. Overall great stay but be aware this is not a fancy resort with a spa/bell boy/bars/valet etc, there is a concierge next to the front desk for booking excursions.
