We researched places to stay for a week’s visit to the Big Island and decided on a condo at Fairway Villas. Our choice was based on communication with the owner, the overall appearance and maintenance of the property, the location, pricing, access to the beaches and reviews of prior renters.
We chose Carole Walker’s 2 bedroom penthouse as it excelled in all of these categories and we couldn’t have been more pleased on our selection.
First of all Carol is absolutely delightful to work with and is clearly very committed to your happiness with your stay.
Next, the unit is just as described and is very clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen and almost every conceivable appliance.
The addition of boogie boards and other beach accessories is also great and helpful for a day on the sand. The close proximity of the A-Beach was delightful as it is a very short walk and beach chairs are already there for your use as well as a beach service to rent kayaks, snorkeling gear, water bikes, etc.
There is a grocery store, several restaurants, gift stores, clothing shops, etc. just 2 blocks down the street simplifying any need for food and supplies.
The advantage of being in a Penthouse extends to both the reduction of noise from other units and the expansion of sunlight based on being up high – also the elevator is just 15 steps away making it easy to come and go.
We would highly recommend working with Carole if you are considering traveling to the Big Island
