We had a great experience at this rental. It really is as close to the beach as it looks in the photos, and being on the 3rd floor there was never a lack of privacy or much noise from the beach or walking path. The unit has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The amenities are fantastic – two pools, a nice restaurant, coffee shop, tennis courts, and of course being right next door to the sand beach. One downside: you have to pay separately to use the gym. Across the street are a number of restaurants and a small grocery store. Within a 15min drive are plenty of shops, a mall, and a Safeway.
Some of the bathroom fixtures are showing their age (e.g. the tub drain is rusted), the larger binoculars are out of collimation (not aligned) and thus useless. And the Fodors 2001 guidebook needs to go. But the furnishings and TV are all updated and everything is comfortable. A bunch of beach toys and chairs are available in the closet as well.
We had a great time here. If we return to Maui, I would probably rent this unit again.
