I stayed here with my husband and 10 month old son and this unit was exactly what we needed!
The playpen and highchair were very convenient, although it would have been useful to have a sheet for the playpen for hygienic reasons. We ended up using a larger sheet found in the linen closet and folded it to make it fit the playpen for our child to sleep in.
Suite was very well maintained and looked exactly like the photos. We used the kitchen quite often and it had pretty much everything we needed. The only things we felt were missing were steak knives, and a kettle to boil water for my morning tea (but there is a coffee maker for coffee drinkers). No big deal, we made do just fine.
We also used the BBQ to cook dinner one night. I read from a previous poster that the BBQ area is quite far, but I just want to point out that there are a couple of BBQ areas, one further, and one within the pool area, which is not too far from this unit.
I was a bit worried about comfort level since I am pretty heat sensitive and get rashes easily with too much humidity, but I slept very comfortably in this suite. We kept the windows open which allowed a very nice breeze through and helped keep the unit quite cool. There were also ceiling fans in both the living area and the bedroom (although I felt the one in the bedroom was not as strong), nonetheless, there were also 2 additional tower fans available for use that are stored in the bedroom closet.
There were a couple of hot nights where we used the tower fans in addition to the ceiling fan, but some cooler nights we didn’t use anything except for the windows.
The suite was also well stocked with shampoo/soap/conditioner, towels, cooler (which was very convenient to take with us on the go), beach chairs, beach mats, etc. I also saw some snorkel gear, but didn’t know this would be available and we already rented our own gear.
The floors did feel like there was a sticky residue to it as mentioned in another review, so I had to rinse the sticky film off my feet before going to bed. I felt the floor could use a very good hot water mop to get rid of the residue.
The location was great, with a nice view of Shipwreck beach and close drive to other Poipu beaches, restaurants and markets.
All in all, our stay was fantastic and we would definitely stay here again!
