My husband and I stayed here for our 1st week ever to visit Hawaii. We were so glad we chose this spot. This house had an amazing view as well as being spotless and perfect in every way. It is located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by local residents. So very peaceful stay. The kitchen was well equipped – even with condiments in Frig – which is so rare at a rental. The bed in master was also very comfy. We were about 30 minutes from Hilo and about 45 minutes to Volcanoes park. So much to see and do nearby. We saw the caves, the botanical gardens, many state beach parks including a new black sand beach created by the lava flow. All this info was passed along to us by the home’s local host Melissa. She gave us some great tips on local restaurants and cool off the beaten path sites that were not to miss. We highly recommend staying here if your desire is to explore the HVSP and other great sites near Hilo.
