My family (husband and 7 year old) had the most amazing time at Lanikai for 10 days. The location is central (30-40 minutes to the Northside, 10 minutes to Lihue and only 20-25 to Poipu). We love the Eastside for the restaurants and beaches and ease of living. But the Lanikai made our trip! We spent almost the entire time in the pool, having been to the island many times before and were really just seeking relaxation. Boy did we get it! The salt water pool sits above the ocean so the views are stunning. And if you want beach – it is right beyond the pool. So easy! Our condo was huge: we had two suites for the 3 of us and when desired each had our own space (including tvs in each room)! The condo is furnished with care, the kitchen is easy to use and the gas grill by the pool was a great addition. Most importantly, Lanikai is a small condo complex: there were never more than 4 people at the pool and 90% of the time we had it to ourselves. We will come back!
