The neighborhood:
The draw of this South Kihei location is access, not a distant lookout. Kamaole Beach Park II is directly across the street, a sandy place for swimming and sunset watching, while Kamaole I is close for a longer walk north. Restaurants, coffee, and shops line South Kihei Road, so dinner rarely needs a big plan. Two pools, a tennis court, and barbecue areas give the complex an easy backup plan for a beach-free hour. This neighborhood fits families and couples who want the practical version of Maui: walkable water time and everyday comforts close together.

Transit

Getting around:
Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.

I stay at Kihei Akahi every time I visit Maui. C413 was a nice unit. It‚Äôs the first time I had a unit with a remodeled shower (loved that there was also natural shampoo, conditioner and body wash in a wall dispenser), real king mattress (not a queen or two doubles pushed together) and tile flooring in the bedroom (instead of icky carpet). It was clean overall and really appreciated the welcome treats Vacasa provides.

We just returned from an incredible week at Kihei Akahi C413, and we couldn't be happier with our stay! The condo was clean, well-equipped, and perfectly located right across from Kamaole Beach II ‚Äî we walked to the beach every day. The unit had everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to beach gear like chairs and umbrellas, which made our days super easy and enjoyable. The view from the lanai was a highlight ‚Äî perfect for morning drink and sunset dinners. The bed was comfy, the A/C worked great, and the overall atmosphere of the unit was quiet and relaxing. The grounds at Kihei Akahi are beautifully maintained, and the pool and BBQ area were great extras. Communication with the host was smooth and easy, with clear instructions and quick responses to any questions we had. We really felt at home here. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy Kihei ‚Äî we‚Äôll definitely be back!

Great Place To Stay In Kihei

This was our first time using Vacasa and we were very pleased. Our unit in Kihei Akahi was all that we could wish for. C413 was spotlessly clean upon arrival. The king bed was comfortable, the compact kitchen had everything we needed, the living room was perfect for lounging and entertaining our friends, and the lanai was our go-to spot for morning coffee and evening dinners. Beach chairs and umbrella were provided and much appreciated. We have vacationed in Maui for a number of years and the location of Kihei Akahi, with its five minute walk to Kam 2 beach and short distance to various shops and restaurants makes it a great place to stay.
