Neighborhood

The neighborhood:
South Kihei is especially good for families who prefer their beach days without a long production. Kamaole Beach Park III sits across South Kihei Road, with swimming, snorkeling, and room to settle in on the sand. Keawakapu Beach is nearby when you want a longer shoreline walk. Back at Maui Kamaole, tropical landscaping, pools, a spa, tennis courts, and barbecue areas give the day a second act. It is a relaxed stretch of Maui for a beach bag, an easy dinner, and a sunset drive toward Wailea.

Transit

Getting around:
Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.

We really appreciated that there were AC units in both bedrooms and the main living area! The two bathrooms on both floors were great. Having a washer-dryer in the downstairs was also nice for travel. The cooler, chairs, and sand toys were much appreciated as well!
