My husband, baby and I had a great time staying at this condo! The location is perfect for families, with lots to do in Kihei. We did have an issue with the AC and needed to get it fixed twice, but after that is was resolved. Communication with Maui Heavenly Vacations could have been more prompt as well. Overall we had a good time!

Everything here you could want and then some. Kitchen has every tool on earth. So relaxing and the VIEW is STUNNING. Watched Humpback whales from the lanai everyday (in the right season). Highly recommend this home unit.

The place was beautiful to stay in with a gorgeous view! You can hear the waves crashing onto the beach 24/7. The bed was very comfortable!!! Easy access to the beach and pool areas (nice assortment of beach accessories to use: cooler, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, etc.) The location was perfect for staying in Kihei. Within walking distance to Sugar Beach Bakery, ABC Store, Ulani's Shaved Ice, and Farmers Market. Would stay here again if we returned to Maui!

The service from vacasa was wonderful and the cooler gift bag, necklaces and snacks were a fun treat!! The room view and updated decor were lovely. All of the amenities, including the beach equipment from chairs, towels, sand toys, boogie boards, snorkel gear, and even sunscreen, we're all greatly appreciated! We will definitely be staying with Vacasa again.

I loved hearing the sound of the waves. Watching the sunset. I have stayed at Sugar Beach Resort many times. Mostly had a Garden View but this time an ocean front. Now I’m spoiled. The Condo was nicely updated. The king size bed was comfortable. The kitchen had everything.

Very clean and well equipped for our meals in. I believe this unit is rented a lot but all the things we wanted were up to date. We will be back next year.
The only fix it was we struggled with the tv getting on the Spectrum channels. Our sheets were a little weird as they appeared to be too big for our bed. That did not stop us having a great nights rest .

We loved our stay at Sugar Beach Resort 225! The view was incredible and just what we were hoping for, and we loved that we could just pop in the ocean for a swim whenever we wanted. The furnishings are great, the kitchen is beautiful and the condo had everything we needed (and more!). We made use of the beach chairs, snorkel gear and boogie boards! We slept great - the main bed was comfy and the sofa bed was not bad for a sofa sleeper. The AC worked great and kept the condo comfortable on the hot days. We had a maintenance issue while we there and they were SUPER fast to respond and get everything fixed. We so appreciated the amazing customer service! The condo was spotless and we felt instantly at home. Thanks for amazing stay! We definitely hope to stay here again!

Thank you for the incredible hospitality of this beautiful condo. The view from the balcony was stunning……we will never forget the sunsets (and the moonrises at nights) that we witnessed every night. The beach was beautiful and pool area was excellent.
The only hiccup was a sticky flush of the toilet; it does not flush well with little water. As former contractor, I recommend a new gut replacement. Other than that, everything else was perfect!
I will highly recommend this condo for future vacations to our families and friends!

We had a great time at Sugar Beach Resort. Our oceanfront room was awesome with beautiful views. The condo was well stocked and provided needed supplies. My only complaints are that the floor was extremely dirty and caused our feet to be covered in dirt and black by the end of the day, so we had to wear socks while inside; a good cleaning of the floors would have been appreciated. There is also no ceiling fan in the bedroom. The AC in the main living area was great but sorely lacked in the bedroom which made the bedroom a bit stuffy at night, otherwise we had a great time! The location is fantastic!

Sugar beach resort is an excellent location for fun son and a great Maui experience. Condo 225 after five previous visits to Sugar Beach resorts it’s a fantastic opportunity for first class accommodations. The Cassity is a great way to vacation without the hassle, knowing upfront what you get, what you pay, knowing if there’s a problem they’ll step in and resolve it. Going Vacassa is gives you a high probable peace of mind that you will have a good vacation

Spent a wonderful 11 nights at Sugar Beach Resort 225. I searched many condos before I decided on this one. It turned out to be perfect for us. I wanted beachfront with the ability to view the whales during whale season. While we were able to spot whales off in the distance and then zoom in with binoculars, I actually had better whale views last trip when we stayed close to Maalaea harbor. The advantage of Sugar Beach Resort is it has a wide and very long sandy beach right in front. Loved taking a morning walk daily. It was fun watching people walk along the beach all day long. Also enjoyed seeing multiple large canoes going by each morning. Many canoes are beached near the condo. Saw wind surfers almost daily as well. The unit itself was very quiet even though it's a large complex. The top second floor of the parking garage was so convenient. It was just steps from the car to 225. The condo itself had everything we needed. It was well equipped with dishes, cookware, utensils. There were also some spices, olive oil etc. The decor and furnishings of the unit were attractive and exactly as pictured in the advertised photos. The AC worked perfectly. The washer dryer were a bonus. There were plenty of towels. The ocean views were mesmerizing all day long. The location of the condo was perfect. Convenient to going anywhere on Maui. I especially liked the location because it was a shorter drive to Kihei restaurants than our last stay near Maalaea harbor. 10 minutes to the Safeway grocery store. The location is not congested like the busier parts of Kihei. Very peaceful at Sugar Beach.

The condo was well appointed! It was great to have a few spices and a well stocked kitchen with plenty of pots and pans and utensils. We stayed three weeks so we cooked frequently. The view is spectacular!! The king bed with pillow top was too soft for my husband so he slept on pullout. Great stay other than that.

Enjoyed our stay here! Clean unit, well stocked kitchen to make cooking a breeze, a nice lanai to hang out on and watch the whales! And for those that need to utilize the sofa bed, it was actually quite comfy (a pleasant surprise!). While you are a bit out of range for walking to all the Kihei restaurants, the off street parking, pool and grill area, and nice stretch of beach more than make up for it.

The condo was comfortable, clean, and well-furnished. All the appliances and furniture were in great condition. The decor was tasteful. The unit included many amenities for the kitchen and the beach (beach towels, chairs, and boogie boards.) The best part was the amazing view we got to wake up to every day. The location was great. The condo itself was beautiful and perfect for a couple or couple with a small child. The views from the second you walked in were amazing. You could watch the ocean or watch a sunset inside the unit if you wanted. Super easy access to walk the beach too.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay in unit 225 at the Sugar Beach Resort. The condo had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed dining on the lanai looking at the ocean and enjoying the sound of the crashing waves. The welcome kit with a few snacks and coffee in a cute lunch bag were a nice touch. We also appreciated the fans and coolers that were available to guests during their stay. I wish we could have stayed longer than 4 nights.

Our North Kihei stay at this lovely apartment was surprisingly perfect! The unit was clean, well stocked, and had PERFECT sunset views! Sugar Beach also turned out to be one of our favorite beaches with a vast expanse of four miles! Just loved our daily walks here! Parking at the second floor unit was so easy with access to the upper garage level just around the corner. We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning.

We loved this spacious condo right on the beach. Although the weather was (surprisingly) less than ideal, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and we especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony for meals and watching the ocean, great sunsets! Quick walk down one set of stairs and you're on the sand, fantastic! This condo is managed by Vacasa and we were a little nervous about dealing with a company vs. the condo owner directly, but all info was received in a timely manner before/during/after our stay, and they were very responsive to some questions we had. Would definitely recommend!

Sugar Beach 225 had everything we needed from start to finish. The instructions were easy to follow, the place is equiped with everything you need to make your stay very pleasant and the staff is super friendly. Definitely recommend it!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sugar Beach 225 (we had stayed at Sugar Beach last year in a different condo, so we like the resort and the location). The other comments have covered all the great benefits of 225, from being right on the water, to the snorkels and bogey boards, to the central AC. This may seem trivial, but I appreciated that there was enough toilet paper, paper towels, etc. for our family of 4. Little touches like the welcome bag of snacks were really nice. We loved having lunch on the lanai. There was even a rice cooker. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here!

Update condo, nice kitchen
and bathroom. Modern appliances&decor. Not all places have beach towels and boogie boards, this one does ( a nice touch). We usually stay on the even number side of the complex, but we were pleasantly surprised with our stay in this condo.

The condo was perfect for our family of four. It was right on the beach that was not overcrowded and the pool was great too. Location is perfect for getting anywhere easily. Very comfortable bed! The view from the balcony was amazing! We really appreciated being able to use the available snorkel gear and boogie boards!

Everything about this was wonderful! Clean, updated, welcoming!
My husband and I were able to dine by candlelight on the balcony as the waves gently danced below us!
Views of whales, turtles, sunsets, and swaying palm trees!
The king bed was GREAT! The kitchen had everything, and we can’t wait to return!

Loved the view and sound of the ocean right from the living room and Lanai. A/C was one of the main aspects to choose this condo and working well.
The kitchen is well equipped with e.g. a smoothie maker and electric juicer. There's no better way to start a day than enjoying a freshly made orange juice from a location like this.
We were 2 adults making use of the fold-out sofa bed for added privacy. The fold-out is only about 6 feet in length and therefor more suited for children than adults, but comfort was ok.
Beach gear like body boards, two beach towels, two beach chairs + sunshade and two snorkeling sets were provided as well.
Washer and dryer are located within the condo. Both worked flawlessly and detergent was provided. There's also a USB charger next to the king bed.
Some room for improvement:
- some more towels for longer stay
- provide more dishwasher tabs
- provide more than two small shampoo bottles for a 4-day stay
- improve signage to the flat (numbers are a bit confusing. This condo is located in the north-west building)

SB 225 has been our favorite 1 bedroom condo at Sugar Beach Resort for several years. Everything in the condo is beautiful and inviting as if we are staying at a friend's home on the beach. Highly recommend, especially for longer stays on the island.

What a wonderful location/view! It was amazing to wake up to the sounds of the ocean and be able to walk to a beach within minutes! The condo had everything needed (save for spices, which is understandable given COVID). Thank you for this magical place that my wife and two babies (1yo and 3yo) got to spend a week in beautiful Maui! Highly recommend and would love to return ASAP!!

The condo was comfortable, clean, and modern. The beach out front was perfect for sunning, swimming and walking. We couldn’t have found a better stay for our first trip to Maui. We will be back. ( I originally booked through VRBO, but the property management switched to Vacasa before we travelled there. I had no previous knowledge of Vacasa and am pleased that everything went smoothly.)
Sugar Beach is a sweet stay.
