Neighborhood

The neighborhood:
Sugar Beach keeps North Kihei close to the ocean while leaving room for a slower family schedule. Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge gives kids a chance to see a different part of Maui’s landscape, and Maalaea Harbor offers boat excursions plus the Maui Ocean Center. South Kihei is an easy drive for restaurants, groceries, and beach time at Kamaole Beach Park III. The neighborhood makes a useful base for families who want options without constant packing and unpacking.

Transit

Getting around:
Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.

Very nice condo for our 3 week stay

Even though the Wi-Fi went in and out; and we lost connectivity for one day, due to weather conditions, Vacasa responded immediately when we contacted them. Most appreciative was all the amenities provided to us for a 3 week stay. We did not have to shop for any items (especially toilet paper). This is our second stay here and have booked for 2027 (for 4 weeks). Perfect location. Best beach in all of Maui.

My wife and I come to Hawaii regularly. Thia time we brought our little one. He loved the balcony and the relaxing sounds of the ocean. We spent hours at the pool and at the beach. The unit itself was clean and comfortable.
