The neighborhood:
Sugar Beach Resort makes North Kihei feel refreshingly straightforward. Sugar Beach is close to the property, with miles of white sand for walking, swimming, and easy family time by the water. When you want a break from the shoreline, the shared pool and hot tub offer another way to relax, and shared grills make dinner simple. Kihei's stores and dining are nearby for supplies or a meal out. Then return to the beachfront resort with tomorrow's beach time already within easy reach.

Transit

Getting around:
Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.

A brilliant penthouse

Spent 7 nights here in this penthouse apartment with family. This two bed two bath spacious apartment was perfect for a lazy week. Swimming pool, beautifully dressed campus and most importantly almost a personal ocean beach. Nothing to complain about this place. 10/10.

We loved everything about our stay at this lovely condo. The location in Kehei was perfect for us. We loved the beautiful sand beach right below us… enjoyed walking the beach and swimming in the ocean, and hearing the waves at night. It was just a short drive to many restaurants and shops in the main area of Kehei. The condo is well supplied with many beach chairs, extra towels and beach towels, enough toilet paper to last the week, and many kitchen amenities (even though we only ate out). Beds were comfortable, the elevator is just around the corner for ease of coming and going. Note to help others… the location is on the 6th floor (PH) in the building on the right side facing the ocean. There are two buildings in the complex with the pool area in the middle. The elevator is in the corner near to the pool. Hopefully this detail helps others arriving after dark like we did

Superb experience in Kihei. Convenience access to food/activities and pool was excellent. The only know I’d offer is the beach at Sugar Beach is less clear than others and subject to winds from Maalaea.
