Neighborhood

The neighborhood:
Maalaea brings a quieter side of Maui, centered on the harbor, the bay, and the kind of shoreline walks that do not need an agenda. Maui Ocean Center is nearby for a family-friendly outing, while harbor boats head out for snorkeling and, in winter, whale watching. The five-mile stretch of beach along the coast offers room to wander, and Kihei is four miles away for beach parks, restaurants, and shops. It is a central location that lets guests see a lot of Maui while returning to a peaceful waterfront setting.

Transit

Getting around:
A rental car is recommended for exploring Ma'alaea and the rest of Maui. The harbor, beaches, dining, and attractions around the island are easiest to reach by car. Use the arrival details provided before your stay for exact access and parking information.

Reviews

Perfect condo for Whale Watchers

Jillian · Mar 2026

This condo is 5 stars because the views and location are perfect. It is centrally located to a lot of places to visit and things to do. You can also stay in and sit out on the lanai and watch the whales. The little beach besides the resort had turtles on occasion as well! The condo itself has the basic amenities but you are mostly here for the views.
