Neighborhood

The neighborhood:
Kihei's South Shore is a favorite for its easy access to the Kamaole Beach Parks. Walk down the hill to swim, snorkel, or settle in for sunset, then head back toward South Kihei Road for restaurants, coffee, and casual shopping. Keawakapu Beach is nearby for a longer shoreline stroll, and whale watching can be part of the view in season. The neighborhood is sunny, laid-back, and easy to navigate without an elaborate plan. It is especially good for groups who want beach days, meals, and errands close together.

Transit

Getting around:
Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.

What's nearby:
Just head down the hill and across the street and you'll reach two different Kamaole Beach Parks, each under half a mile away! Learn more about Hawaii's efforts to conserve one of the area's most famous animals at the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary (just under four miles from the condo). Enjoy 18 holes in paradise at the Maui Nui Golf Club just over three miles away. If you're looking to spend even more time on the water, sign up for an outing with Kelii's Kayak Tours just over one mile away.

Within walking distance of great beaches, and restaurants. View of the ocean. Lots of extras like the pool area, BBQ and eating areas, foot washing station coming in from the beach. Parking was easy. Very nice property and friendly staff. Was a great family vacation.

Cleanliness was good. Love the convenient walk to beach and stores. Didn’t use the pool, can’t comment. This is our 3rd trip to Maui and we love Kihei!!
