Neighborhood

The neighborhood:
At Mahina Surf, a short outing can feel like a full change of scenery. Kahekili Beach Park is good for a spacious beach day, Black Rock Beach gives you the famous Ka'anapali shoreline and snorkeling, and Kapalua Beach offers a calmer coastal cove. Those beaches are within four miles, leaving plenty of time to return for an afternoon swim at the shared pool. The oceanfront complex is a practical choice for families who want to see several sides of West Maui without turning the trip into a series of long drives.

Transit

Getting around:
Kahului Airport (OGG) is about 40 to 45 minutes from the Lahaina area along Maui's west side. A rental car is recommended for beaches, shopping, and dining along the coast, including Kaanapali and Kapalua. Nearby beaches may be just minutes away, but most destinations require driving. Parking is typically available in designated lots, though popular beaches and restaurants can fill up.

The furnished balcony is the ideal place to start your day with a steamy cup of coffee or a refreshing fruit juice while enjoying the views and breeze. Back inside, the living room is a great place to unwind after spending the day at the pool or any of the nearby beaches - a comfortable sofa, an armchair, and a TV with cable await! The dining table seats up to four people. The kitchen is well equipped with all the basics, modern appliances, and utensils to whip up mouth-watering meals, snacks, cocktails, and more! Enjoy your meals or snacks while the dishwasher takes care of the dishes.

If the beach is not your cup of tea (though we doubt it), there is a shared sparkling pool waiting for you - you won't have to go through the process of rinsing off the sand before going back to your condo. There's no complete vacation without a barbecue outdoors and that's why this complex offers guests a handful of gas grills to choose from. Shared laundry facilities are at your disposal, as well as a turtle-friendly beach just steps away.

Pohaku Park is just a short 0.2 of a mile walk away. This beach is ideal for families looking for a quiet place to enjoy the waves and sand. Picnicking and surfing are popular right here. For more beach options, you can visit Kahekili Beach Park (two and a half miles), Black Rock Beach (four and a half miles), and Kapalua Beach (three miles). Local dining options, fast food restaurants, and coffee shops await within walking distance.

Access

Guests at Mahina Surf enjoy access to the oceanfront communal pool set along Maui's coastline, with garden grounds and a disabled parking spot for easy access. The beachfront location puts the water just outside your lanai, and grab rails support accessibility. A nearby laundromat adds convenience for longer stays at this 42 unit complex.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at the Mahina Surf 216. The condo had everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing Maui get away. The kitchen was well equipped with all we needed to bbq dinners and enjoy the sunset and star gazing from the lanai each evening. The furniture and beds were comfortable for relaxing after long days in the sun. I don‚Äôt think you could find better views or more beautiful grounds than they have at the Mahina Surf! We will be back!

We love the place, the view is excellent. The cleanliness is acceptable. It is close to many beautiful places. The only minus would be the AC. It was hot sometime. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you

Nice views, not crowded, more intimate feel. Close to beaches, turtles on the small beach area were awesome. BBQ's and pool and garden area very well kept.
