Neighborhood

The neighborhood:
Mahina Surf sits on West Maui's oceanfront between Ka'anapali and Kapalua, in a slower pocket where the shoreline sets the day's pace. Kahekili Beach Park, Black Rock at Ka'anapali, and Kapalua Beach are all within four miles for swimming and snorkeling. Fish Market Maui is less than a mile away for an easy local meal. This is a good fit for couples and small families who want beach time, coastal drives, and sunset walks without the rush of a resort center.

Transit

Getting around:
Kahului Airport is Maui's main airport. A rental car is recommended for exploring West Maui's beaches, dining, shops, and coastal sights. Plan on driving for most outings and allow extra time for traffic along the coast.

Perfectly located on Maui’s west side, you’re just minutes from top dining, shopping, and activities. Kaʻanapali Beach is a short drive south, with Kapalua and Napili just to the north.

Our one-bedroom, one-bath condo is a true “piece of paradise,” featuring an updated bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower, a comfortable bedroom with a queen pillow-top mattress, and a queen sleeper sofa to accommodate up to four guests. The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to feel right at home.

Step outside to your lanai to watch whales in the winter or spot sea turtles along the shoreline. The beautifully renovated property offers lush tropical grounds and an oceanfront pool with unobstructed views of Lānaʻi and Molokaʻi—capturing the charm of “Old Hawaii” in a peaceful, boutique setting.

Access

Guests at Mahina Surf enjoy access to the oceanfront communal pool set along Maui's coastline, with garden grounds and a disabled parking spot for easy access. The beachfront location puts the water just outside your lanai, and grab rails support accessibility. A nearby laundromat adds convenience for longer stays at this 42 unit complex.

From start to end, renting a unit in Maui through Vacasa was seamless. Communication was great, everything worked perfectly and the app/emails sent provided all the information needed for a very memorable vacation. The unit was clean, had all the essentials (and then some) and I would highly recommend renting this unit as well as using Vacasa. We will be back!

I loved this condo! Breezy and open, the view from the lanai is spectacular! The kitchen is so well stocked for cooking at home when we wanted. The pool is steps away for a great cool down in the evening. And there are turtles on shore every day - amazing! The owners of this condo obviously love their guests and have been so thoughtful in ensuring that a space that is relaxing and welcoming! Mahalo for an excellent vacation!

Perfectly located on the west coast of Maui, this property provided a home away from home. With all the amenities you could need, and right on the coast! My favorite part was being able to visit the Sea Turtles on a daily basis and then walk less than five minutes to a gorgeous beach to snorkel. Excellent food also within walking distance. Cannot recommend this place enough. Peaceful and gorgeous. Lovely home.
