Neighborhood

The neighborhood:
Princeville is a lush North Shore community where groceries, casual dining, golf, and dramatic Kauai scenery are all close by. Hanalei Bay is about a 10-minute drive for broad sandy beach days, surf watching, and time in Hanalei town's shops and restaurants. Anini Beach is another nearby option for snorkeling, while Princeville Center is convenient for the day's supplies. This is a drive-friendly part of Kauai, ideal for travelers who want to explore beaches and viewpoints by day then return to a calmer, greener neighborhood at night.

Transit

Getting around:
Lihue Airport is about 40 minutes away via a scenic drive along Kauai's coast. A rental car is highly recommended since the North Shore's beaches, restaurants, and Hanalei's shops are spread out. Princeville itself offers walkable access to some shops and dining, while beaches like Hanalei Bay are a short drive. Parking is typically available in lots or driveways at most properties.

This condo was the perfect home base for our 12-day stay and truly exceeded our expectations. The location is ideal, with multiple beautiful beaches, grocery stores, and great restaurants all close by. From the moment we stepped inside, we were struck by how lovely the condo is—beautifully decorated, thoughtfully furnished, and incredibly comfortable. It genuinely felt like a home rather than a vacation rental, and it was clear that the owner takes great pride in the space. I also loved the fact that it was single level with high ceilings. It’s a very peaceful and quiet complex. We did not hear a neighbor once when we were in the home. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked—more so than any vacation rental we’ve stayed in—which made it easy and enjoyable to cook meals or prepare picnics for our daily adventures. We were also welcomed with a bowl of Hawaiian treats on the table, including Kauai coffee, cookies, and granola. That was such a thoughtful touch! Any questions we had for Vacasa were answered promptly and professionally. The responsiveness felt almost like having a concierge, which added to the comfort and ease to our trip. This was our first time staying in a property managed by Vacasa, and it certainly won’t be our last. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would highly recommend this condo to anyone visiting the area looking for a beautiful and peaceful spot.
