Stunning Oceanfront Bluff Living—Perfect for Families or Couples!
Stephanie · Apr 2026
Our family of four (with two boys, ages 9 and 11) recently returned from an unforgettable stay at this Princeville condo. If you're looking for the perfect North Shore home base, this is it!
The oceanfront bluff location is spectacular, offering breathtaking views that we enjoyed every single morning. We were immediately impressed by how immaculately clean the unit was upon arrival. The floorplan is open spacious and airy, and it is complemented by tasteful comfortable furnishings that give it a true island feel. While the condo offers an air conditioning option, the weather was so pleasant during our stay that we didn’t even need to use it. The fully stocked kitchen also had everything we needed for easy family meals. One of our favorite features was the beautiful, expansive grass area right in front of the condo. It provided a perfect space for the kids to run around and made for an easy, quick walk to the pool for the boys.
My husband and I loved the convenience of being right next to 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay—the quick stroll for coffee in the morning and over for drinks or dinner in the evening was a highlight. It’s also a remarkably scenic drive down to Hanalei Town for surfing and shopping, or over to Kilauea for local dining and extra amenities. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to come back!

Private Princeville Experience
Leslie · Aug 2025
This is our third stay at Puu Poa 105. With an ocean view from every room and a gigantic lanai to enjoy both your morning coffee and evening sunsets, this property is just magical. Well stocked with every conceivable amenity and steps away from the pool overlooking the ocean and Hideaways Beach. A quick walk to the 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay and a short drive to charming Hanalei town to enjoy shopping, dining and water sports. This home is centrally located to take advantage of all Princeville has to offer.

Paradise on Kauai
Polina · Oct 2024
This was my second time staying at Puu Poa 105, and it was just as amazing and magical this time around. The unit is very spacious and beautifully decorated. Very comfortable furniture to lounge in and enjoy the incredible views and sounds of the ocean. The beds are super comfortable; once I adjusted to the time difference, I didn’t want to get up. My favorite thing was opening the sliding doors and hearing the ocean waves at night and in the mornings. The place was very clean and fresh. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make any type of meals. The television is big and equipped for any type of streaming.
The north shore of Kauai is my favorite side of the Island, and this unit is located perfectly to anything you may need and want. I love this side for the incredible beaches and so much natural tropical beauty, and hiking! The Hideaways beach is right below the complex, and the 1 Hotel beach is a short and easy walk away. Amazing snorkeling all around! Everything you need for the beach is provided in the condo (towels, chairs, umbrellas, plenty of snorkeling gear, etc.). Many places to eat close by right in Princeville, Hanalei and Kilauea. I can go on and on, but to sum it up this was truly an unforgettable trip in one of the best places I’ve stayed at. Can’t wait to come back again. Thank you!

Absolutely loved our time in Kauai and our stay at Pua Poa 105! Upon our arrival we were so impressed with the attention to detail, cleanliness, amenities provided, and the open feel and space. The ocean views were incredible and the location unbeatable ……within walking distance to the beach, 1 Hotel, nearby restaurants and just a short drive down to Hanalei to check out local boutiques and additional dining options.
We had the best week and will absolutely be back the next time we visit Kauai. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Perfect Vacation Home
Stephanie · Jun 2024
We had the most amazing stay in unit 105. Everything was first class from the amenities, to the furnishings to the view. The ground floor unit provided easy access to the pool and evening lounging in the grass area.
The unit is spacious with lovely and clean rooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking meals and preparing drinks.
The air conditioning was delightful on warm evenings. Wi-Fi was great and allowed us to work remotely in the mornings with multiple devices online at the same time.
Our stay was wonderful and we look forward to returning next summer. Mahalo!

We mentioned celebrating my sis-in-law's milestone birthday, not imagining we'd get the VIP treatment. Awaiting us was a beautifully arranged gift basket welcoming us to the island and assuring us of help if we needed anything at all. The unit was expansive and gorgeous, lacking for nothing. We remarked on how we wished we could spend more time enjoying the accommodations rather than sightseeing so much. If I had to name one drawback, I guess it would be the droppings left by the nenes (Hawaiian geese) on the patio. However, you can't stop Mother Nature and a broom quickly took care of it. Would highly recommend this place!

We stayed here for our last few days on Kauai and honestly, wished that we could have stayed longer. The minute you walk in, you are struck with the openness and light of this impeccably appointed unit. The view over Hanalei Bay was amazing - you couldn't ask for a better place to view the sunset. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Mahalo!

Loved everything about our stay! The condo is beautiful, with a gorgeous kitchen that has everything you could need. The ground floor location is super convenient. Easy to walk out to the pool or to the beautiful views of ocean and sunset.
We really appreciated the air conditioning. It would have been pretty warm without it.
This location was great. We walked to the Queens Bath trailhead and avoided the full parking lot there. We hiked down to Hideaway Beach (you’ll be better off in something besides flip flops). We walked down to Hanelei Beach from Puu Poa on the stairs by the new One Hotel.
We loved coffee and smoothies from The Spot. Also enjoyed day trip to Anini Beaxh and and Kalalau Trail!

This property is more beautiful than the pictures. Lovely modern furnishings with great style and comfort. Fabulous kitchen and grill with all the amenities. The view from the back is unbelievable and watching the sun set every night was a highlight of the day. Puupoa and hideaway beaches are right below and we even walked to the queens bath. There was some construction noise from the hotel and multiple units undergoing renovation but not really an issue. Such a special spot

We had a wonderful time staying at Puu Poa 105. Beautiful unit! Decorated with exceptional island taste. Gormet kitchen with top of the line appliances, utencils, etc. Master bath with huge shower area and Japanese soaking tub. Housekeeping had done
an exquisite job. Absolutely perfect down to the tiniest detail!
But the greatest part had to be the location. The view from the lanai was out of this world. We saw whales, dolphins, turtles and beautiful sunsets. We also loved the gentle little Ne Nes.

A beautiful and serene location
Steve J. · Mar 2022
The property was just as beautiful as the pictures suggested! The views through the massive windows were incredible at all times of the day. There is a pretty steep cliff at the end of the grass, so there is a short but very tricky hike down to Hideaway Beach, but it only takes a few minutes to get there.
The condo itself is up to date with clean furniture, comfy beds and couches, and a well-stocked kitchen. We didn't have any issue cooking the basics for breakfast and lunch each day.
We didn't use the pool at all, but it was nearby and seemed nice enough. A hot tub would have been nice to rest our sore muscles after long hikes!
The group of buildings does seem to be extremely quiet and they would like to keep it that way, so I would be cautious if you have a big group or are planning on late nights.
Wonderful

Lovely Hawaiian holiday!
David · Mar 2022
This is a beautiful, spacious, well-outfitted condo. The view is spectacular- we saw whales daily from our porch. Two beaches are within walking distance, although both involve steps. Not a problem for us, but something to be aware of. The second bedroom is a bit small, but certainly comfortable. Our only criticism is that the bathrooms are short on towel racks and hooks to hang up damp towels and swimsuits. Otherwise, it had everything we needed and more: lots of pool/beach chairs and toys, a good amount of towels and laundry needs, etc. We would definitely stay here again.

We had such a great time staying here, the condo is huge and well stocked with everything you may need. It's very clean and has a stunning view of the ocean. The location is also perfect and we especially loved walking down to hideaway beach every day!

This place was amazing! My wife and I came here for our honeymoon and it was the perfect place to relax after all the festivities.
The views are epic - you get to see glimpses of the sunrise and sunset all from the lawn area in front of the condo (in early May). We also loved how close it was to Hideaway beach for early morning snorkeling.
The place was very clean, had everything we needed, and tastefully decorated. Would highly recommend staying here.

This is an amazing place to stay in Princeville. We couldn`t have been happier! The view is perfect. The unit is extremely well appointed, with everything we needed to be comfortable and then some. The unit is also very spacious! And having laundry onsite was very convenient, especially with so many towels and beach wear. We also loved being on the ground floor, so we could just walk outside to the grass, overlook the ocean, and visit the pool. Communication with the host was easy and timely. One thing that was less than ideal, was there was a slightly musty smell in the apartment. With fans on and doors open, we had no real issues. But if someone had a very serious sensitivity to smell, it may be a problem. The other issue was somewhat spotty WiFi. We didn`t have too much of a problem, but there were times when internet slowed down or even cut out entirely. Since we had to do some work while we were there, this was definitely an inconvenience. If anyone had extremely important work that needed to be completed in a timely manner, this might be a challenge. All in all, though, we thought this was an incredible place to stay and an awesomely luxurious gift to ourselves. We`d love to return to this unit the next time we`re in Princeville!

Oct 2020
The place was super spacious. It was just my husband and I for this trip but it can easily accommodate two couples with plenty of privacy and space. We loved the way that you can see the ocean from almost every room and the cozy couches all over the living rooms (there are two!). Hideaway Beach is just steps and a short hike but well worth it. We cooked almost every day and were so grateful for the grill. That was awesome. Be careful going to the Hideaway Beach when it’s been raining as the path can get slippery, we took our shoes off and barefoot was easy to grip the mud/dirt to get to the paradise of a little beach. We snorkeled right there too. One day the current was a bit too strong so we couldn’t swim there so we just went to Hanalei Beach which is just 15 minutes away. The condo is a perfect location from everywhere. Queen’s Bath is a walk away and you can overlook it from the 7th hole of the Makai golf course. Beautiful! There is a walking path right off the condo complex and my husband ran on that every day. There was some construction next door but they always started later and were very respectful. All in all my husband and I absolutely loved this place. Fully stocked, towels, boogie board, anything you may need for your stay there the condo had it. I would warn that the light buttons and the AC were a little convoluted. And each of the rooms had a slightly different temperature, but nothing unbearable. Perhaps a different AC system in the far future? Would highly recommend this place and we cannot wait to go back again and stay here. The host was very responsive and we were pleasantly surprised the condo included a car rental. Thank you Gigi and team! You helped us celebrate my birthday and our anniversary on the best part of the island! This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

This was the perfect condo for our vacation on Kauai. Especially enjoyed waking up to the ocean views. We cooked all our dinners in, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The condo itself is much bigger than we anticipated. Definitely could house four people perfectly. The location was just right, as you could walk to many restaurants and the beach or short drive to Hanalei. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable trip to Kauai.

This property looks impressive online, but it is even better in person. The owners spared no expense in decorating and stocking this unit. Beautiful furniture and decor, and high end appliances and knives, etc. Far beyond your basic VRBO set up, especially with initial set up supplies like paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, etc. They even supplied laundry detergent and dryer sheets! I would definitely stay here again - fell in love with this place!

We chose the condo was a very correct choice, the environment is beautiful and quiet, its excellent geographical location, through a trail can be very easy to reach the beach, and it`s also easy to drive to the Hanalei, the Kalalau Trail, the Kilauea Lighthouse, the Queen`s Bath, all of that.A few minutes` drive to the supermarket at the Princeville center.
The condo is beautiful, clean and fully equipped, just like living in your own home, without any inconvenience, even many beach sports facilities in the room, it is perfect.
In addition, the process of booking the condo went very smoothly, and the landlord explained everything we wanted to know in detail. After we checked out, we left important documents in the condo. The landlord promptly mailed it to oahu, where we later traveled, We are very grateful to her. By the way, the condo also includes free use of a car, which is a great service. If we ever visit kauai again, we will definitely choose to stay here:)

We had a wonderful stay. The condo was actually larger than I expected, even from the photos. It can get a little hot in the evening, but there are plenty of fans given to utilize and increase comfort.
The best thing about the stay was the location. One of the best snorkel beaches in all of our travels throughout the islands was just below us (Hideaways, which is actually two beaches). We snorkeled there numerous times and saw countless turtles, eels, and reef fish. For the less adventuresome, there is plenty of shade. The Princeville Resort is very close (walking distance) and easily utilized (e.g. spa). There is also a pool and outdoor shower conveniently located nearby.
I would definitely stay here again.

Our condo at Pu`u Po`a was amazing! It was in a great secluded location where we felt far from the crowds, but still close enough to activities and beaches. The condo was so clean, well kept, and huge! So much space to relax and enjoy the beautiful ocean views. It made our honeymoon even more special. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Wonderful stay at Puu Poa 105! Loved the location. Condo was EXACTLY as pictured so no surprises. We thought not having A/C would be an issue, but being by the water, there is always a nice breeze and the evenings are very comfortable. It is a bit pricey but we did get a discount because of the construction going on nearby so for us it was totally worth it. Would definitely book again if and when we come back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Pu`u Poa with Great Vacation Retreat. The unit was larger and nicer than we expected (even though we had high expectations from the pictures). It was very clean and had everything we needed, including beach towels, chairs, umbrella, boogie board, snorkel gear etc. The views are amazing and would highly recommend checking out Hideaway beach - the sand and water were amazing!!
Great Vacation Retreats communicated frequently and were very easy to get a hold of when needed. We had no issues with the rental car or really anything during the week we were there.
Overall, would highly recommend this place - it was perfect for my husband, daughter and myself along with my parents. Lots of room, great location, stunning views and access to Hideaway and the St. Regis beach - both in close walking distance (although a bit of steep hike to Hideaway beach and lots of stairs to St. Regis - but still both worth the effort).
Can`t wait to visit again!

We spent a week in Kauai for our honeymoon. Can not recommend this place more. The inside is so comfortable, clean, and stylish. So much space and every thing you could need in a home while staying on the island. The car rental was easy and an excellent bonus but even without, this place has been one of the best experiences we have had using AirBnb.
Hideaway beach below the condo is worth the trek if you can handle the steep path, we had our own private beach one morning perfect for relaxing and snorkeling (which is provided). A giant sea turtle came to shore as we spent the rest of the time swimming amongst the tropical fish.
This will be our first place to look anytime we find ourselves visiting Kauai

This condo is a great place to stay in Kauai! It is HUGE - way larger than we expected from pictures. The condo had an amazing ocean view and a whole wall of windows to enjoy it. Lots of comfortable seating areas. The kitchen is large and has all the things you need to cook some meals. The host was easy to communicate with and their is a great binder of recommendations in the unit. Not to mention the free rental car! So great!
