Please be advised that the Regency AOAO will be undertaking a major project to replaster and beautify the two swimming pools on the property. During construction, there will be periods of significant noise as the contractor performs saw cutting, demolition, removal of existing plaster, and replacement of accent tiles.

Please make note of the project schedule below. The timeframes include both the construction work and the manufacturer-recommended curing period for the new plaster. To minimize the impact on residents and guests, only one pool will be closed at a time, and the Poipu Kai Pool will remain open throughout the project.

October 4 – October 23: Pool 2 (behind Regency Building 7) will be closed.
October 25 – November 20: Pool 1 (located in the center of the complex) will be closed. (*Weather Permitting)

As with all outdoor construction projects, the schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions or other circumstances beyond the control of the contractor or Poipu Kai Association.

Neighborhood

The neighborhood:
Poipu is Kauai's sunny South Shore, known for beach days that are simple to plan. Poipu Beach Park and Brennecke's Beach are local favorites for swimming, bodyboarding, and watching for turtles from shore. The Poipu Kai Greenbelt makes it easy to connect parts of the resort area on foot, while Old Koloa Town, restaurants, and shops are a short drive away. Transit

Getting around:
Lihue Airport is about 30 to 40 minutes away, a pretty drive across Kauai's south shore. A rental car is recommended to reach Poipu's beaches, Koloa town's shops, and nearby dining with ease. Old Koloa Town is walkable for boutiques and restaurants, while beautiful beaches are just a short drive away. Parking is generally available on site or in small lots around town.

We had an absolutely incredible stay here and couldn‚Äôt have asked for a better home base for exploring Kauai. The condo is even more spacious than the photos suggest‚Äîbright, airy, impeccably clean, and beautifully maintained. It immediately felt comfortable and relaxing. The location is hard to beat. It‚Äôs an easy walk to Poipu Beach, where we saw sea turtles almost every evening, and it‚Äôs close to great restaurants, shops, and everything we wanted to do on the South Shore. After long days of hiking, snorkeling, and exploring the island, coming back to such a peaceful, comfortable space was the perfect way to unwind. Everything was thoughtfully stocked, the layout gave us plenty of room to spread out, and it truly felt like a home away from home. We would stay here again without hesitation and would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, spacious, and ideally located place to experience the best of Kauai.

We really enjoyed our stay and it was just what we needed for our New Year's getaway. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The bathrooms were large. It was an easy walk to several beaches and we really appreciated having a wagon provided to pull the chairs, cooler, beach toys, etc. As have been noted in other reviews, the condo faces a busy street at a busy intersection. It didn't bother us but is something to be aware of. The assigned parking spot is VERY small. It's easy to hear the condo above us-moving chairs, walking around and such. Again it didn't really bother us but something to note if you need things really quiet. We loved the area of the condo and can't wait to come back on our next trip to Kauai!
