Neighborhood

The neighborhood:
Poipu's sunny South Shore is a natural match for families who want beach time, casual dining, and easy outings close together. Baby Beach and Koloa Landing are within walking distance, while Poipu Beach Park is nearby for a bigger stretch of sand, swimming, and snorkeling. Shops at Kukui'ula adds restaurants, coffee, groceries, and boutiques to the neighborhood. Winding garden paths and warm trade winds set the tone here. It is a walkable, relaxed part of Kauai where a simple beach day can become the whole plan.

Transit

Getting around:
Lihue Airport is about 30 to 40 minutes away, a pretty drive across Kauai's south shore. A rental car is recommended to reach Poipu's beaches, Koloa town's shops, and nearby dining with ease. Old Koloa Town is walkable for boutiques and restaurants, while beautiful beaches are just a short drive away. Parking is generally available on site or in small lots around town.

The Waikomo Stream Villas occupy a gorgeous piece of property mere steps from the circle in Poipu. On the grounds, you'll have access to an outdoor pool and sundeck, a kiddie pool, a covered picnic area with gas grills, and pathways that wind through verdant gardens. Koloa Landing (a popular dive site) and Baby Beach are both just a short walk. Beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler and boogie boards are provided for your use. Great restaurants and shops at the Kukui'ula center and other conveniences are all within walking distance as well.

You'll enter this condo on the building's third floor, a position that places you up among the treetops and in the fragrant, tropical breezes. It's a lovely, lofty space with soaring ceilings, tall windows, and an open floor plan. The kitchen is at the center, offering stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar for morning pancakes. It's adjoined on one side by a formal dining area and on the other by a light-filled living room.

In the evenings, step out onto the lanai for a sunset cocktail before cozying up on the sofa to stream Netflix favorites. Of the bedrooms, one is a primary suite with direct lanai access and the other is a loft-style suite upstairs. Both have attached bathrooms.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The place was beautiful, super clean and had everything we needed. The location was amazing and made our trip to Kauai even better. Our host was so sweet and was really good at communicating with us and making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We seriously had the best time and were so sad to leave. We would 100% stay here again next time we’re in Kauai!

Very cute place, clean, lots of parking and close to many shops and activities. The kitchen was well stocked and check out requirements were minimal. The beds were comfortable, and we had lots of seating and a nice dining area. There is no air conditioning, but there were plenty of fans to keep cool. Don’t miss the closet with several beach chairs, bodyboards, and small cooler. Plentiful beach towels, too.
