Neighborhood

The neighborhood:
Poipu is Kauai's sunny south-shore beach community, an easy contrast to the wetter North Shore. Poipu Beach Park is known for its swimming coves and frequent wildlife sightings, while nearby Shipwreck Beach brings a more dramatic stretch of coast. Spouting Horn and Old Koloa Town are worthwhile stops for a drive day, and the area has golf, dining, and shopping close by. It is an easygoing choice for families who want beach access, warm weather, and plenty of nearby options without having to map out every day.

Transit

Getting around:
Lihue Airport is about 30 to 40 minutes away, a pretty drive across Kauai's south shore. A rental car is recommended to reach Poipu's beaches, Koloa town's shops, and nearby dining with ease. Old Koloa Town is walkable for boutiques and restaurants, while beautiful beaches are just a short drive away. Parking is generally available on site or in small lots around town.

When you're ready to indulge in that tropical heatwave, the doors off the living area open right up to a lounge area with expansive greenery views on the covered lanai. Or, for a more quaint feel, sip a cup of coffee on one of the front porch's rocking chairs. When it's time to cool down, indulge in the home's AC, which is exceptional in all zones of the house. Our family of 5 (3 kids, 2 adults) had an incredible time here! The house was absolutely beautiful, spacious, clean, modern with most of the amenities we needed! Property management companies changed the day we checked in which made host responsiveness a bit delayed, but once contacted, they were very helpful and nice. Kids bunks were very wobbly but someone came to fix it straight away! Location is amazing- cute neighborhood, quiet, beautiful, easy to find. Access to athletic club was a super plus! Walkable to Poipu shopping center was also amazing. We will 100% stay here again - we loved everything about it.

Four adults and one toddler had the most amazing stay! The neighborhood was quiet and walkable and the property was in a super convienent location to beaches/town! We appreciated the access to a packnplay for sleeping and supply of beach towels to use. The added perk of access to the Club (pool and gym) was a lovely bonus. Highly recommend!

The vacation home is beautiful, well-maintains and well-equipped, It had everything needed for our family of 5 during our one week stay. Cooking in the kitchen was easy and fun. There was every kitchen appliance possible, and they all worked great. Everything in the home was of excellent quality. There were plenty of bath towels and beach towels. Beach gear like cooler, beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards were provided and made spending the day at the beach more fun and easy. Check in and check out instructions were very easy - smooth process. We would definitely recommend this vacation home and would stay again!
