Neighborhood

Hale Moku is in Poipu, a sunny South Shore beach town with a mix of family-friendly coves and more dramatic coast. Poipu Beach Park is a popular place for swimming and snorkeling, while Shipwreck Beach offers cliffs, surf, and a wilder shoreline. Restaurants, shops, and resort dining are close by, and Old Koloa Town is a short drive inland for history and local food. This area works well for a large group that wants beach time and easy meal options nearby.

Transit

Lihue Airport (LIH) is about 30 to 40 minutes from Koloa. A rental car is recommended for Poipu beaches, dining, and the wider south shore. Old Koloa Town is walkable for boutiques and restaurants, while beaches are a short drive away. Parking is generally available at properties or in small town lots, which makes it easy to explore both on foot and by car.

Our stay was very comfortable. The view was spectacular. It’s very convenient to everything in town, but what I loved was every morning sitting on the balcony and watching the sunrise to the sunset to stargazing listening to the waves it was a view that I’ll never forget.

The view is unparalleled. Turtles, sunsets, moonsets, etc. Enjoyed having pirvate bathroom with the bedrooms. Outside seating good...maybe for chairs for outside(we used dining room chairs) Original house built in 1936...I have not idea how they did it on the lava rock. Vacasa was wonderful to deal with...It was a terrific experience.
