Grab the beach umbrella, boogie board, beach chairs, and cooler, and spend the day with your toes in the sand, or stake out a spot on a chaise lounge around the pool, just downstairs. When you want to explore the incredible lush nature that makes Kauai so famous, you’re just a few minutes’ drive from state parks, forest reserves, and wilderness areas. Shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and other amenities are just down the street at the Coconut Marketplace.

At the condo itself, spend time relaxing on the balcony with coffee each morning, then slide the French doors open to let the trade winds come inside. Modern designer-style furnishings, an open layout, and abundant natural light make the space live large. The sleek, modern kitchen features a full suite of stainless steel appliance, and there’s plenty of room to grab a bite together at the breakfast bar or back outside on the balcony.

After a day on the sand, toss any laundry in the private washer/dryer for a quick refresh, then mix a sundowner at the wet bar before heading back outside. Entertainment options inside include two TVs, free cable, and WiFi, but the best show of the evening will be the stars rising over the water. Both serene bedrooms offer a restful night’s sleep, with lucky guests of the primary bedroom enjoying direct balcony access.

This was my second stay at Lanikai and it was just as great as the first stay. The condo is immaculate and exactly as described. Excellent location. Check in instructions and communication was clear. The pool is lovely. Welcoming touches are found throughout the condo. Would gladly stay again!

While the complex itself seems a bit older, this unit is very updated and tastefully decorated. There were only two of us, but it would still be spacious if more people had been with us. Great options in the kitchen with dishes, bowls, utensils, etc. Nice showers and beds too! We really enjoyed the lanai, even on a rainy and windy day! While Kapaa is not as scenic as other parts of the island, it is a perfect launching point to visit the northern or southern parts of Kauai and it was nice to have the marketplace an easy walk from the home.
