“Islander in the Beach…Very Clean…”
Erick · Apr 2026
Grabbed this room mostly for pricing and proximity to friends. This is more of a resort type setting, which is nice, but not really what I normally want or like. I wanted a kitchen and living room, but this one didn’t have it. I like places with less people, and there are a lot of Senior guests lounging around. The pool was mostly open, but the hot tub looked like it was housing a group of packed sardines. Not my thing. You’re right on the beach, and the setting is really beautiful. Cleaning staff, bartender, and on site manger are very nice and professional. Room itself was very clean with all the basics and some snacks. It worked for my trip, but I’ll be looking elsewhere…earlier…next time.

Loved my stay! The location to pool, beach, and lobby were steps away. The view of water, green common area, and pool from balcony was a treat. Speaking of treats, there was a basket of treats that I appreciated. Lava Lava restaurant was near by. Added bonus was the water refill station in the lobby and Coconut Marketplace across the parking lot. Would stay here again.

Very clean and well managed condo at the Islander of the Beach. We stayed at other condos in the same complex, but this is best in terms of amenities and facilities. Provided beach towels and beach chairs. Comfy bed and pillows. Special thanks to Vacasa for great communication and help!

I loved that we could see the beach from our balcony and walk to it within two minutes. I also loved the fact that it’s located next to an amazing marketplace. We walked over there often to shop and eat. The towel exchange service was super helpful, and the host left a bowl of Hawaiian goodies on the table. Loved that. :)

We loved the homey-ness our room. It was super clean, cozy, and had all the amenities we needed especially if you want to save money and buy simple groceries to last you a good amount of days rather than eating out everyday which can get expensive. Location is perfect, close to everything. The room had everything you could need during a stay. It had everything from a slow cooker, to dishes, utensils, you name it. We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 day stay and would definitely come back! Highly recommend if you like a more lowkey, down to earth, comfort stay on the islandü§ôüèºüå∫Thank you again for everything!

Cozy with a Great View. The room had everything you could think of and then some. Island decorations in room were warm and comforting. The Walkways near by have spectacular views of the Ocean and native plants to take breath taking pictures all around. Shops and Food all walking distance which makes the Islander a One Stop Vacation with everything you want !!

LYNNE · Feb 2024
This was a lovely, second florr condo suite, I had a four day stay from Feb. 7th to 10th, 2024. The room and bathroom were spotless, the balcony had a lovely view of the ocean and beach. Nice touches were the box of macadamia nut chocolates and cookies. The bed was very comfortable. As a 'solo' traveler, I appreciated the secure lock on the sliding patio doors. Checking was seamless and there was ample parking in an adjacent well lit parking lot. I would definitely recommend this for affordable accomodation on Kauai.
Beautiful property and area, shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Beautiful property and area, shops and restaurants within walking distance. Room was clean and spacious with a great view.
If you're not back by early evening it is difficult to find a parking spot onsite.
Would suggest placing some sort of rubber mat under mattress to prevent constant sliding.

Clean, comfortable and great location
JOSEPH · Aug 2023
The room was clean. The bed newer and comfortable. The coffee and snacks were appreciated. The balcony is near the pool so you do have a bit of pool chatter until ten and then it is quiet. The location is great, right on the beach, centrally located on the island, decent restaurant next door and near by. The property is gorgeous and pool well kept. We goofed on the towel exchange by texting the wrong number. Perhaps the management could text the clients phone to keep that from happening. And they could for the price of the room leave double the shampoo, soap and such. We ran out on last day.
Steps from the beach!
Jeanne O. · May 2023
We were very impressed with the value, the ocean view from our balcony, the sound of the waves 24/7, the beautifully landscaped property, the amenities and the convenient location. It was everything we wanted for a relaxing quick getaway. Mahalo!
Just steps from the beach!
JEANNE · May 2023
Yes, you can see the ocean from the balcony patio and you can hear the waves too. The property is beautifully landscaped and walking distance to so many lovely beaches, conveniences, restaurants and shops. Social hour in the hot tub was a fun way to meet others and share their experiences. The host provided everything including portable beach chairs, towels and even a small cooler. The local Vacasa team responded quickly to replace the coffee maker that didn’t work on our first morning. Great value in a fabulous location. Aloha and mahalo!

This unit was priced nice for the area! The room was super clean and had everything I needed. The kitchenette was perfect to help reduce eating out all the time!
They even left me a welcome gift of macadamia nuts, chocolate macs, granola bars and coffee along with a sweet personalized note to welcome me.
This was a perfect birthday trip for me!
The pool/spa were also great with a Tiki bar with Mark serving up delicious pina colodas and lava flows!! Sunrise is awesome with your morning coffee or yoga at the beach!!
Side note- the A/C was fixed after several negative reviews and is now quiet as a mouse and nice and cool!

We loved our week long stay in this efficiency style condo near Kapaa! The room had everything we needed; comfy bed, fridge, microwave, coffee maker and basic kitchen utensils. Our balcony overlooked to pool area and had a view through to the ocean. The grounds of the Aston Islander are lovely, the pool and hot tub are well cleaned and maintained, and the pool bar serves excellent pina coladas!

We absolutely loved the location, close to Lava, Lava; right on the ocean ; near the pool, jacuzzi and bar- perfect! There were problems with the condo: noise from AC unit was almost unbearable especially on the balcony where we loved to sit. Bathroom fan made a terrible noise and the outlets in the bathroom didn’t work.

This place was perfect for us, the beach and pool and the general location was amazing. The room was nice and comfortable with a king bed, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker (never got the coffee maker to work :( tho. The Room also came with a soft cooler and beach chairs. No maid service but you can call and ask for cleaning at additional charge. You have a market, shopping and a ton of food options right behind your place. And Lava Lava was soooo good , try the coconut mia tai`s!!

My wife and I stayed here and had a great time. The room was clean and check-in was a breeze. We loved sitting out on the patio every morning having our breakfast. The beach was never over crowded and we were always able to find lounge chairs at any time of day. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance, along with shops and a marketplace. We would definitely stay here again. If I had to mention something we didn't like, it would be the size of the kitchenette. There is very little counter space for any food at all, but we worked around that. Also, we could never get the AC as low as we would have liked, but it was still comfortable. All in all we loved it.
Stunning

Our first VRBO experience to Kauai. The condo was great- close to the beach centered on the east shore and close to stores to help us with our stay.
It was a great home base to celebrate our daughter and Kauai natives wedding! We were able also explore the entire island and its incredible beauty!
We will definitely be back soon to visit our daughters new Ohana!

Loved the location of the condo on the end of the building directly at the top of the stairs. Pls keep in mind it's on the 3rd floor with no elevator so if you have lots of bags, it's a LOT to carry up LOTS of stairs. However, it's a great space with a roomy bathroom, kitchenette and great balcony with views of the pool and ocean. Plus the tall table and chairs on the balcony were awesome so that you could see over the railing! The bed was smaller than expected and we were afraid to touch the love seat because it was so stained and dirty. The pool, hot tub and pool bar are great and steps from the condo and didn't provide any loud noise at night. However, the hot tub was always full! We enjoyed the drying rack on the balcony, as well as the beach towels and beach chairs/noodles - a nice touch! Great location with stores/restaurants in walking distance and we biked the 4-mile path near the complex, which was great! Easy check-in, lots of parking.

Arriving in Kauai, we realized that we were in a place where we could get away from life for a while. This room allowed us to hear the ocean every night, and go explore everyday. Old Kapa'a was an quaint little town to explore and we enjoyed breakfast there everyday. 45 min drive to the North or South was very convenient as well as all of the food choices right outside where we were staying. Thank you for an amazing property.

The property was as described. There were beach chairs and umbrella that we found helpful for Poipu beaches. We arrived after a large amount of rain which maid the beach on the property murky. Able to find a beach in Poipu with a short drive of 30 minutes or so. Also able to visit Hanalei with a 45 minute drive from the condo. Well located for travel around the island. Thank you for sharing your property.

Very Pleasant Stay

This studio condo was perfect in many ways for a couple. Its location was excellent.... beach front as well as nearby shops for convenience... food, market/groceries, deserts, etc. The view was amazing with sunset.... We had a great time. Also, working with HulaNow was very easy. Highly recommend.

This was a great location for us to explore the island from, and the unit was equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed listening to the ocean while we slept!

This is by far the most beautiful vacation we have ever had! This property was clean and very well situated to both north and south shores. Also walking distance to restaurants and shops!! Stay here, you won’t be disappointed!

INCREDIBLE Ocean Views & Perfect Home Base for Adventuring!
Jessica K. · Nov 2021
We loved having this cozy condo to come back to at the end of each day of adventuring! After long hikes and days on the water, the hot tub was idyllic and well stocked kitchen essentials perfect for our snacking needs! Incredible ocean views for watching the sun rise each morning and hearing the waves to start the day. Would have been helpful to have beach/pool towels on hand, but otherwise very well stocked and prepared - including having beach chairs! Note, the amenities of the hotel (e.g., pool towels, etc.) are not available for VRBO guests, but use of pool/hot tub/beach access is! Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.
Amazing location
Mara R. · Oct 2021
This place exceeded my expectations. The room was comfortable and had all the listed amenities. I used the coffee maker daily and enjoyed the view of the ocean from the lanai. The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful and there are plentiful beach chairs to go around in sun or shade. There is a marketplace across the street as well as an oceanfront restaurant just next door. I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere at the pool bar in the evenings. The east side of the island has some beautiful beaches, but it was a quick drive to both the north and south sides of the island when I wanted to explore. An amazing stay and I would definitely return!
Beautiful place to stay in a great location!

We loved staying here. The location was perfect. Our lanai looked out over the pool with the bar, and had a great view of the ocean. The grounds were lovely. Right from our condo we were able to walk along the ocean on a beautiful path. The location to the Coconut Marketplace was perfect! We walked over to the market there every morning for our coffee and pastry. They had everything you could possibly need in that store. The restaurants at both the adjoining resorts, Hukilau Lanai and Lava Lava Beach Club, were our favorites. Would recommend this place and definitely stay here again!
Lovely property

Condo was well appointed, very attractive and clean. Property was lovely - loved the chickens walking about.
This unit has a great view - you can see the ocean, the pool/bar area and some mountains. What more can you ask for?
Only drawback is size of sink by the microwave & fridge - not really big enough to wash the dishes. But, who wants to wash dishes when on vacation anyway!
Amazing Views and a Perfect Location!
Amanda · Sep 2021
This place was perfect for us, the beach and pool and the general location was amazing. The room was nice and comfortable with a king bed, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker (never got the coffee maker to work :( tho. The Room also came with a soft cooler and beach chairs. No maid service but you can call and ask for cleaning at additional charge. You have a market, shopping and a ton of food options right behind your place. And Lava Lava was soooo good , try the coconut mia tai`s!!

Great Stay in Kapaa

We loved our stay at the Islander on the Beach! Definitely a more touristy part of the island, but this meant it was close to restaurants and excursions. The room came with beach towels, an umbrella, and snorkel equipment. The beach in front of the hotel isn’t safe to swim in, but there are others nearby that are. Overall, it was a great experience!
Better than expected!

I ended up extending my stay because this was so nice!
lovely grounds to come home to

We really enjoyed our stay. The unit showed some aging but we were quite satisfied given HI pricing. Although a car is preferred to see Kauai, there stores and restaurants within easy walking. We would stay at this condo complex again.

What a lovely space!! 🌺
Melanie W. · Jun 2021
Cute & Clean & nicely decorated! Felt like being home. Even found a hidden Asian paper lantern/pocket doors to divide the kitchen from the rest of the living space, creating an Zen feeling. Very nice touches! No ac, but wonderful trade winds & fans throughout! Good communication with host & definitely would visit again! 🌼🎋🐚
Great spot!
