Neighborhood

The neighborhood:
The Mauna Lani Resort occupies a sunny stretch of the Kohala Coast, where lava fields, fairways, and the Pacific meet in a quieter Big Island setting. Spend time at the resort shoreline, look for tide pools, or take in a round of golf before choosing dinner nearby. Waikoloa's Kings' Shops and Queens' MarketPlace add more restaurants and stores a short drive away. This area is especially good for families who like a pool-and-beach rhythm, couples who appreciate an unhurried resort day, and anyone drawn to the Big Island's dry, sunlit coast.

Transit

Getting around:
Mauna Lani is on the Big Island's Kohala Coast, between Kona and Waikoloa. Kona International Airport is about 30 to 40 minutes away, depending on traffic. A rental car is recommended for exploring the coast. Mauna Lani's beaches, dining, and resort shops are close by, while Waikoloa offers additional options a short drive away.

Exceeds expectations is an UNDERSTATEMENT! Everything starting with the standard expectations of cleanliness were met. Beyond that the extra amenities make it worth it! They truly have thought of everything. Starting with a big island visitors guide with various points of interest included is a pass to use the Hilton resort facilities, which is a great bonus! There is also free usage of boogie boards, snorkel equipment, life vests, beach chairs, and so much more! Location is wonderful as well! Do not hesitate to stay here! Will return on our next trip!
