Neighborhood

The neighborhood:
Sugar Beach Resort sits on a long stretch of sand between North Kihei and Maalaea. The shoreline makes it easy to start with a beach walk or a day by the water, while Kihei is nearby for casual cafes, markets, and supplies. Maalaea Harbor and the Maui Ocean Center are close for an outing, and Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge offers a quieter change of pace. This area has a gentler rhythm than central Kihei, with the beach as the main draw.

Transit

Getting around:
Kahului Airport (OGG) is about 20 to 30 minutes from Kihei. A rental car is recommended to enjoy the beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along Maui's south shore. Some areas near South Kihei Road are walkable for dining and shopping, and beaches may be close by. Parking is typically available at properties, in lots, or along nearby streets, depending on the location.

This unit is part of the wonderful Sugar Beach resorts. Unmatched views from the lanai for sunsets and looking for sea turtles or whales (if in season.) Updated amenities in kitchen and bathroom. Perfect central Maui location to make day trips to other parts of the island easy. Beach chairs, umbrella, and small cooler made beach days a breeze! Can‚Äôt wait to plan our next trip back!

A beautifully appointed room! Very comfy, clean and tastefully decorated. For me the bed was way too soft but my wife thought it was fine. The perfect waterfront view, too!

Very clean. Had everything you needed for the stay. The beach chairs, cooler, and beach towels were a bonus! Loved sitting on the balcony everyday. AC worked great.
