It boasts partial ocean views at the small 18 unit Lanikai Resort, which sits just a few steps from Lae Nani Beach in the Wailua area of Kauai! This quiet and private condo has a peaceful lanai where you can eat breakfast each morning, air conditioning in each of the main-size bedrooms which each have their own private bathrooms. A shared, heated, year-round, saltwater oceanfront pool is just 65 steps away where you can sunbathe, dine, and soak in incredible views of the coast. The condo has a large, well-equipped, and newly remodeled kitchen and a full-size washer/dryer.
This condo is centrally located with easy access to the island. It is in an extremely walkable area, and sits within steps of Lae Nani Beach and the warm Pacific Ocean. You'll be a short walk down the beach from oceanfront happy hours and top restaurants on Kauai. On the east coast so you can easily drive to any part of the island, 20 miles south to Poipu, or head 25 miles north to Hanalei's beautiful beaches and rugged landscapes.

This is our second time staying in this condo and we love it. There are two bedrooms so kids have their own space to sleep in. We love that it is on ground floor so we can walk out directly into the beautiful property. It’s very close to an amazing pool that has a gorgeous view. The kids loved this. Then you are also steps away from the beach and beautiful tide pools that we had fun exploring every morning (there are loads of fish in them). It’s a family favorite and plan to stay again!

It was easy to get to. Near restaurants and grocery stores. It was right on the beach so you could always hear the ocean. It wasn't a good ocean swimming area for my 70 year old Mom, but the pool was easy t get to and she was able to swim once or twice a day. The other residents and visitors were kind and friendly.

We had a great time at this condo. The location is perfect for walking to the beach or a 5 minute walk to shopping. It was nice to be in the middle between the north and south because we spent time at both sides of the island with very little drive time. The place was very clean, all necessary supplies in the kitchen and for the beach. They supplied beach towel and chairs. The pool was clean and never crowded. The parking was always available and close to the condo. There are AC units in the bedrooms which made for restful nights and it was quiet. If I had to give a suggestion as an area of improvement it would be to have an AC unit in the living room too. It may not be needed all the time but definitely makes it more comfortable when spending time together in that room. Overall it was fantastic and I highly recommend it!!!

My wife, two kids and I enjoyed our stay at Lanikai #212. Having two double beds in the second bedroom was great so my adult son and teenage daughter didn't have to share a bed. The AC in the bedrooms was good enough to keep the bedrooms cool for comfortable sleeping. We also like the location which is close to many of the activities we wanted to do during our stay, like kayaking the river to secret falls and tubing the canals of the old sugar plantation. All the other tenants on the property were so quiet we felt like we were the only ones there.

First trip to Kauai and first vacation as a family of 3. This place was perfect for a family, we traveled with our 6 month old. The home itself is spacious and comfortable which was very appreciated since we spent more time than usual to accomodate our little ones needs. The lanai is so lovely and the grounds/amenities were beautiful! Wonderful location as well, walkable to a variety of things. I would definitely stay here again if we were to visit the east side of Kauai again.

This condo is perfect. It is steps away from the pool and sand. Walkable to restaurants and easily accessible to anywhere on the island. The place with stocked with everything from beach chairs, umbrellas, to sand toys and fins and floats for snorkeling. We had such a nice relaxing time.

Perfect spot for our family of 4. Condo was clean, well equipped with all the beach supplies such as chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, fins, etc. The pool was small but we always had it to ourselves. It was also kept warm so the kids enjoyed coming back from adventuring to our nice warm pool. Walking distance to restaurants, we loved hanging at the Lava Lava beach club while the kids ran around playing. You are steps to the beach and pool and very central to get around the island. This is not a loud property, lots of long term residence, very quiet and peaceful but still welcoming. We will be back!

The condo was centrally located and there was a great bakery nearby and the Coconut Market Place.
The kitchen was well appointed. The beds were comfortable.
We had a bit of trouble figuring out the TV but that’s because we aren’t used to it.
I got Covid so spent more time in the condo than I planned. My husband was able to get what we needed nearby.

My family of 3 including a 16 year old truly enjoyed staying here. I grew up in Wailua so I wanted to stay in that area. This place checked all of the boxes! Ground floor. Great seating on the patio. Full kitchen if you wanted to cook. Just steps away from the ocean that was so nice. I got to have a cocktail most nights and watched a couple of turtles swimming in the waves. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know who are traveling to Kauai.

Location was great: you basically just walk across the pool patio, and there is a gate that opens out toward the beach. There are also numerous dining and shopping options in walking distance. Plenty of space for our family of 4. The master bath is huge, and the second bath is good sized as well. Bedrooms were spacious. Overall, it had a great beach vibe. Couldn’t ask for more!

The reviews on this property were spot on! It was absolutely wonderful! The bedrooms were clean, comfortable and the A/C was much needed! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for meal prep. We used the boogie boards and beach chairs and ample supply of beach towels-what a money saver and made our vacation over the top. The access to the beach was secure and super close. The surf was very rough during our stay so we walked on the beach but didn’t get in the water. But the pool, wow! That was my favorite spot. The grounds were beautiful and with the pool right next to the ocean it was a slice of paradise. ❤️

This is one of the cleanest, classiest rentals I’ve ever booked. It was absolutely immaculate. There was a lovely hospitality gift for us that was above and beyond expectations. The property is so quiet. The location is centrally located on the island so it is easy to visit all the attractions (and it’s near Safeway!). I really can’t say enough good things!

The washing machine is out of balance even when empty. It is unusable. This was reported to management and the responded immediately with with a credit. It has not been repaired. Other than that our stay was wonderful and this is a beautiful property. The residents and other vacationers were all very friendly. Thank you.

There is not a more beautiful setting on Kauai than Lani Kai. It is quiet and serene and yet so convenient to shopping, dining, and outdoor activities. This condo has been beautifully remodeled and outfitted with all the amenities one could ask for. We started each day watching the sunrise from the perfect ocean front viewing point, followed by a walk along the public walking path that runs for miles along the ocean before beginning our day’s activities. I’m already dreaming of our next visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. First time in Kauai. The condo is very well done and well decorated. Wish they had the flexibility to convert the second room into a king bed!
The kitchen and bathrooms were very well stocked. Cooking oil would have been a nice addition. Restaurants and grocery shops are very close by. The backyard and pool and access to the beach is very pretty!

This checked off all the boxes for a place to stay on line and in person. We really enjoyed our week there. It met all our expectations and then some. The grounds were full of flowers and were impeccably maintained. Having a fresh pineapple and other treats was a nice welcome. I loved being able to get right to the pool and beach. Air conditioning in the bedrooms was a welcome amenity. The place is secluded, yet right in/close to all the action. I would definitely book here again.

This condo was everything and more that we hoped it would be. The pictures do not do it justice. It's open, clean, and very airy inside. A benefit to being in the side yard is that there's more privacy when spending time on the patio. It is also walking distance to one of the best baby pools on the island and made it so easy, and fun, to spend time at the beach with our 2 year old each day. We will absolutely be returning in the future!

We loved being able to stay in a central location for our first stay on Kauai. The pool and private beach weren’t crowded. The condo was ground floor with an outdoor patio where we could relax for for meals/coffee. The unit was well stocked with good pots/utensils, not cheap dollar store stuff. Laundry was a bonus

This ground floor unit was well stocked, immaculate on arrival, quiet, and conveniently located. We loved to location because we could walk out our lanai to the garden and pool which was incredibly convenient. The resort is gated, so upper units ( not on the ground floor) have to bring a key each time you want to visit the pool, so it ground floor was ideal.
While this unit doesn't have a full ocean view, it does have a partial one, and the hedge on the east of the lanai kept the sun off the lanai all morning, so it was easy to sit out there when we needed breaks from the sun.
There were fins, beach chairs, and pool noodles; oversized beach towels, and a cooler in the unit. Plus a set of plastic kitchenware that could be used poolside. Kitchen was fully stocked.
Rooms are big; beds could probably be a bit more comfy, and the master bed seems to be slightly too small for the frame.
Pool was warm and pleasant, and staff we interacted with on site were all very friendly and kind.
We would definitely book this again.

Our stay was perfect from start to finish. The house was immaculate and the furnishings very comfortable. The pool was great, right on the beach, and the landscaping was absolutely beautiful. We loved being able to walk to the Lava Lava Beach Club for dinner. The only issue we had was noise a couple of nights since you can hear the street from the bedrooms. But turn the ceiling fan on high and you can cover it up.

We had a wonderful time with our 2 boys, 15 and 12 years old. The condo is big, very well maintained and super comfortable. Located in a quiet area and a few steps to the pool/beach. Coconut market, a 5 minutes walk with a grocery market, souvenirs store, restaurants and Jojo’s, the best shave ice place. Easy to go to the North shore with the beautiful Hanalei beach and easy access to Poipu. We are at the end of the Wales season but we got lucky and saw plenty of Wales and dolphins with the blue dolphins catamaran company located in Poipu. The island is beautiful, we really enjoyed our stay and we’ll come back. Aloha.

We loved our stay at Lani Kai. It was quite luxurious - the condo is very large, with two full bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is new, and the lanai is so comfortable for sitting and listening to the waves. We loved that it's on the ground floor. It's a short walk to the pool, the deck, and the beach. It's great that you can walk right along the shore up to Lava Lava Beach Club, more beaches, restaurants, and a nice coffeeshop. The beach has a nice natural tide pool with lots of colorful tropical fish. At night shearwater birds were resting in the bushes near the water, and every day we were serenaded by a white-rumped shama.
The location of Lani Kai is excellent - right in the middle of the east coast. It's easy to travel north to Hanalei and our favorite, Anini Beach. And just as easy to travel south to Poipu Beach and Waimea Canyon. We had a fantastic stay!

We picked the perfect location! This condo is right on the water, tucked in foliage and flowers. AMAZING! The condo itself is very nice inside. We had everything we needed and then some. The beds were super comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with necessities, spent many mornings drinking coffee on the patio. There was plenty of room for our family of five. Pool was very nice and even grilled some steak at the pool gas grill! The location of the condo was very nice for evening walks, just right out the patio door you can walk forever along the beach! Great swimming hole right there as well. Property manager went above and beyond to help us out when we left something important behind in the condo...she actually brought it to the airport for us! Now if that isn't the best service ever!!! Thanks again, we can't wait to come back :)

This condo was perfect for our family of 5. The second bedroom with two beds allowed all 3 of our kids to stay in the same room which is important to us. Beds very comfortable and the condo well equipped with everything we needed. We used the BBQ by the pool a couple times while the kids played in the pool. And the ground level is perfect to sit outside and enjoy. Used the boogie boards and other beach toys. Cindy was able to accommodate a late check out which was much appreciated. No hesitation in recommending this condo.

The condo was well stocked with much more than we expected and the landscaped grounds were even more beautiful than some of the large well known hotel resorts we’ve stayed at on Kauai! The condo was very clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable and conveniently located central to the island. The pool, and beach access was very nice as well as the great view of the ocean. The staff there (Helen) was very helpful during our stay. We would highly recommend Lanikai and would absolutely book again!

I looked online for accommodations for our trip to Kauai and this one caught my eye the first time. I thought I needed a three bedroom unit and when I found out two bedrooms would suffice, I found this one again and booked it immediately. The pictures show off the unit perfectly and the colors and decorating are perfect. The unit is spacious for five people and beautifully appointed and contains everything you might need. The pool is lovely and there is a private beach where you can swim and boogie board a little. I would definitely rent this unit again if we return to Kapaa.

We came to stay with our two small children and it could not have better atmosphere. Accommodations were over the top it felt like we were right at home with everything we needed! Our Condo was so Cozy and perfectly decorated that kids settled in without a hiccup. All the residents and guests were so kind and welcoming one even provided us with ice cream! :) We had such an incredible view of the lush green grass and perfectly manicured landscaping from the greenery to the flowers, along with the smell of the plumerias. Such a serene environment that couldn't have been better with steps away to the sand and the beach. The Beach was such an amazing spot we never ventured out to play at any other beaches. We had everything we needed it was hard for to want to leave the property, perfect beach spots and the warm salt water pool. We were able to grill on the grill at night by the ocean and have a home cooked meal with the family, but we made it off the property and found so many wonderful things to do with the little ones. We highly recommend renting a bike and taking a stroll up the bike path along the beach (absolutely breath taking), we also ventured out to Princeville ranch for a horseback ride for our daughter and they were absolutely wonderful and patient such an amazing experience for our 4 year olds first horseback ride! Of Course we went to a Luau and we have to rave about the food and the show at the Kauai Plantation at Kilohana such an incredible experience with our bellies full! We went back the next day for the train ride and to the visit the shops, this is a must! What an incredible property! We got to feed pigs, donkeys and goats! So many wonderful experiences but most of all such an incredible day with the family at the Na Aina Kai botanical gardens. If you get a chance you must go and view this property! We wouldn't have been able to experience all these wonderful things without the help of Cindy at Kauai Premier Rentals she truly knows her home and led us to an experience of a lifetime. I would shout from the top of the mountains for everyone I know to come and experience a trip here at Lanikai. We will be Back!

My wife , brother and sister-in-law and I shared this spacious, well decorated 2br/2ba condo for a week (April 1 - April 8). We had the place almost to ourselves the entire time. We met a couple of the permanent residents and a few other vacationers and all were very nice. The pool and grounds were very well maintained and so close to the beach. We snorkeled 15 feet off the beach right in front of the property. The property is within short walking distance from great restaurants and shopping and only a couple hours drive from Waimea Canyon. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. We would highly recommend this resort property to anyone wanting a peaceful relaxing vacation.

First, I need to say what a Warm Welcome by the cleaning women who let us drop our luggage even though she was not finished.
Second, accomodations were way above expected.
Third, the beautiful landscaping and warm salt water pool made our stay so wonderful.
I could go on and on but will resume with the word ''Totally Awesome''! I highly recommand your rental and certainly wish to return, Doreen.

We loved Kauai and our condo at Lanikai. We were on the ground floor, so convenient for going to the pool, which was just steps away. You can see the ocean from the pool. Grounds are well kept and very clean. Walking distance to restaraunts. Would like to go back one day.

We spend 15 nights at this condo: clean, spacious, beautiful, quiet and relaxing... everything was perfect.
The staff is kind and helpful. The salt water pool sits above the ocean so the views are stunning.
The best place to stay on Kauai, we will come back and will recommend this to all of our friends and family !

My family (husband and 7 year old) had the most amazing time at Lanikai for 10 days. The location is central (30-40 minutes to the Northside, 10 minutes to Lihue and only 20-25 to Poipu). We love the Eastside for the restaurants and beaches and ease of living. But the Lanikai made our trip! We spent almost the entire time in the pool, having been to the island many times before and were really just seeking relaxation. Boy did we get it! The salt water pool sits above the ocean so the views are stunning. And if you want beach - it is right beyond the pool. So easy! Our condo was huge: we had two suites for the 3 of us and when desired each had our own space (including tvs in each room)! The condo is furnished with care, the kitchen is easy to use and the gas grill by the pool was a great addition. Most importantly, Lanikai is a small condo complex: there were never more than 4 people at the pool and 90% of the time we had it to ourselves. We will come back!

Other than a little bit of traffic noise from the highway on some nights, we were very happy with our stay. Quiet resort and tenants. The condo is very spacious. 1440 square feet is more than most 2 bedroom apartments. The unit even has the washer and dryer which we did not look for when booking but turn out to be the most convenient feature as we use it every day coming back from the beach or outdoor activity. Swimming pool and the BBQ grill is nice. Highly recommended.

We loved the location. After a very long day and arriving in the night, we appreciated the proximity to the airport. One of the reasons for picking this condo was the fact it was not a flamboyant resort with a lot of noise. The condo was just what we wanted. Beautiful grounds, peaceful tranquility, the pool just yards from our lanai, and best of all the ocean was right there. We enjoyed the spacious, clean condo and the amenities. The condo didn't have a crock pot but Helen graciously brought one from her home. Cindy responded to my numerous questions patiently.
We wished we would have found the Bull Shed sooner. We enjoyed the food and the view and service was great. There was always much to see and do on this island of beauty. I found the abundance of chickens charming. And this is odd because we have enough here, but they were like "good will ambassador" pets.
We had a wonderful time and would recommend this condo to anyone visiting Kauai and wanting a more relaxed atmosphere.

Peaceful, private and spacious

Our family enjoyed our Hawaii respite in this lovely two bedroom, spacious condo. It was perfect for a little one with lots of grass playing space, a lovely salt water pool, and easy access to the beach. The grounds at Lanikai are beautiful, and of course the surrounding ocean is a gem. The condo was well appointed with plenty of kitchen utensils and an outdoor bbq, as well. The washer/dryer came in handy for those damp beach towels and a washing a few clothes. This is a great condo for families as it's ground floor, easy in and out to the beach. Thank you Lanikai for helping to supply a much needed high chair and crib. Aloha until next time!
Fabulous Vacation Rental for the price

We spent a week in this tropical paradise. What a great place and incredibly well appointed, clean and with great amenities. The owners have stocked this unit just like your own home. The kitchen has everything one could ask for. There was a wonderful ice chest and a couple of small coolers so we could take a picnic out each day and spend all day anywhere we wanted. The pool was fun for winding down after a day of sight seeing.
Helen and Cindy - the property managers were always helpful when we had questions and made us feel like we were welcome. It was nice to have the office open so much.
We enjoying dining at Lava Lava Beach Club (just a short walk along the beach from Lanikai) and the Bull Shed (get there early for a window table) - both had great ocean front locations. Other good food areas were Verde and the food trucks.
Our best adventures were at Kilauea Lighthouse (fantastic birding), Waimea Canyon (fantastic views) and a day with Blue Dolphin Cruises to the NaPali coast (fantastic narration about NaPali, dolphin watching and whale watching.
We will definitely come back to this unit when we return to Kauai again.
Excellent stay in great location and very well maintained complex

We had an excellent stay here, we were 4 adults and 2 children (18 months & 6 months) and the condo location was perfect for us. The ground floor unit opens up onto a semi private patio with access to the lawn on the grounds. Our 18 month old enjoyed running up and down the grass and in the mornings there's a perfect spot for watching the sunrise or whales in the afternoon. The salt-water pool is very well maintained and over looks the ocean and a semi-private beach. There's a weber bbq that's in good working order and frequently cleaned. The unit is very well appointed with everything you could need for kitchen supplies. The fans and windows were excellent for keeping a good temperature. The location of the complex made for easy exploring of the island being half way between the north and south coasts and close enough to Kapaa to walk most places. The town of Kapaa is walkable and has some excellent food options including Nom Kauai, Nana's snack shack, Sam's ocean view and Heefat real fruit shave ice. There's also a foodland and a safeway in town on top of the Costco and walmart in Lihue which is about 20 minutes away. On saturday nights there's the Kapaa art walk which is a good way to see the local vendors and eat some good festival food. Lydgate park is nearby which has the best kid's playground i've ever seen and a nice protected beach. We also enjoyed hiking the kalalau trail (40 minutes drive) and the canyon trail at waimea canyon and also found Anini beach to be another great spot for kids. In Lihue(15 min) we also found the Kauai beer company which has a tasty food menu on wednesday/fri & sat nights and some quality craft beer, highly recommend. Overall this is a great find, we hope to stay here again sometime.

My family had a great time on our stay in Kauai with this Condo adding to the enjoyment. Condo was clean, well equipped, and centrally located on the island. My kids really enjoyed the pool, it was almost like our own private pool, we never had anyone else out there. Beautiful views just out the door and a nice little area to practice snorkeling surrounded by rocks. Great value and a great spacious condo.

This unit is outstanding value. It is huge and was awesome for our family of five (2 adults and 3 children age 8-12). We stayed 13 nights but could easily have stayed longer. Wonderful clean rooms, two bedrooms with air con which we never needed (also a ceiling fan in all rooms). The kitchen is the best equipped kitchen I have ever stayed at! you will not find a single utensil missing- apart from a wok they have everything.
We are light sleepers but had no problems here. Yes you can hear people walking around upstairs but this was not an issue (most people are out during the day) and it's a quiet property where people go to bed at decent times. No noise issues whatsoever.
It's an end unit, so only one next-door neighbour (a lovely lady who is a resident).
BBQ right at the pool was always clean.
The pool is fantastic for kids, warm and overlooking the beach and ocean.
This unit has a cupboard full of beach gear (boogie boards, snorkels, reef shoes, jandals, flippers etc) left behind by previous guests. It also has coolers, Netflix, three TVs and two separate bathrooms, each with shower.
The unit is away from the busy street, we had no traffic noise whatsoever. Yet it's very centrally located on the East coast of Kauai with easy access to the main road.
I had a stroll up the beach and saw the numerous other resorts lined up, and it became quite clear that Lanikai is a bit of a safe, quiet haven compared to often noisy resorts further along.
The on site manager(s) were fantastic with excellent communication and helpfulness.
If we ever come back to Kauai this is where we will stay. And I'm not just saying that to make it sound good. We absolutely loved it and will cherish our memory of staying here for a long time. Mahalo mahalo!

The condo was clean and well taken care of. It was obvious that a lot of care and effort was put into the unit to make it a place that people would want to return to. The unit was well appointed and included everything a person would need from laundry soap to sand chairs and coolers. The management staff was very helpful and on site. We would definitely stay here again.

We spent 8 days at this condo at the beginning of July 2014 with our 3 teenagers (15-17 and 19). The condo is really spacious and is very nice (decoration) and very clean. Outside, the landscape is beautiful. The location, near Kapaa was perfect since it is central . On the north shore we did some trekking on the Napali Cost, surf in Hanalei bay and visited many nice beaches. The condo is also few minutes from Wailua river, on which we did some kayaking. The south shore is also not very far and we visited the Waimea Canyon, Hanapepe and Poipu beach. Kauai is really fantastic (we were on Maui the week before).
The condo is located at 5 minutes from Foodland and Safeway, which is very convenient. Walmart (15 minutes) and Costco (20 mintes) are also not too far. As mentioned by other reviewers, the pool and the BBQ were appreciated. We definitively recommend this condo.

This beautiful spacious unit had everything. We stayed the entire month of January and had a wonderful time. The unit was clean and very well stocked for our extended stay. We will definitely return and would recommend it to anyone. The ground floor made the pool and beach very handy. We did not rent our car for much of our stay and found the central location provided all we needed. Hiking up the sleeping giant, swimming in the ocean and pool, great restaurants all within walking distance. Perfect

We just returned from a 10 day stay at this property with our two young daughters. This suite could not have been better for us. Spacious, super clean, beautifully decorated and stocked with everything we could have needed. It's location right on the ocean was fantastic. Although the water was a bit rought this time of year for our girls, the pool more than made up for that!! A great place to relax after a day of sightseeing, BBQ supper and dine with the ocean in our sights. We really loved how small the property was and enjoyed getting to know some of it's residents. So glad we chose this side of the Island also, very tidy, quaint and close to everything it seemed. Can't wait to return.... Aloha and Mahalo!

We couldn't be happier with our stay! The condo is spacious and well kept and very clean. We had two kids and the beach had an area that was protected from the waves so it was perfect! Not to mention the pool! If we ever come back to Kauai...which i really hope we do because the island is beautiful....we will stay at this location!
