AMAZING Unit
Michele · Jun 2026
This unit is exactly as described! Having three bedrooms and three bathrooms provided us with with personal space when needed. We appreciated the beach gear for those days we went to snorkel and enjoy the ocean. I cannot emphasize enough the location! Restaurants and shopping close by, with Poipu literally around the corner. We would LOVE to come back and enjoy the space again in the future.

Fun Family Vacation
Tina · Apr 2026
We booked this property to fit our family of six. It worked out perfectly. The location is close to beaches, dining, shopping, and other activities we had planned.
The unit has a wonderful kitchen, two patios, one assigned parking spot, plus visitor parking. Having a pool and hot tub on the property was an added bonus, along with the use of beach towels! It was nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit too. We would book this unit again if we would come back to Kauai!
Ideal location, room was clean and very nice! Highly recommend!

Jessica · Dec 2025
Really enjoyed our stay! The location was close enough to the ocean/amenities that we could walk down to get coffee in the mornings and could watch the sunset at night! The pool area was fun, the beds and couch were comfortable and the host was responsive! We would stay there again!

Loved our stay at Pili Mai.
Gloria · Oct 2025
Our family enjoyed all of the sleeping space, the kitchen was great, and the living area was very comfortable. We appreciated having a washer and dryer on site. The location was convenient to restaurants and shops. Staff were very responsive to inquiries. We did arrive in the evening and had a little bit of a challenge finding the entrance… but once we became familiar with the area, everything was great. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay for your next trip to Kauai!
Spacious and quiet
Rachell · Oct 2025
This place was bigger than what the pictures showed. We were 6 people and we had more than enough space and some. We thought we had to bring our own dishwasher pods and laundry pods but everything was provided.
Loved this well equipped and spacious condo!
Andrea Y. · Jul 2025
Loved the community grills and other amenities. Loved the ease of getting in and out a close to shopping and beach!
It was so nice to have 3 bedrooms and 3 baths for privacy! Washer/Dryer were a plus! Lanai had nice furniture and enjoyed my mornings and evenings there. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking our catch from deep sea fishing as well as other meals! This condo lacked nothing for our week. Loved the beach equipment as well!
Wonderful and spacious Condo in Poipu!
Andrea Y. · Jul 2025
This condo was so centrally located in a very nice community. Sidewalks, amenities were great like pool and hot tub. My grandsons lived the gym. Beautiful vegetation. The actual condo was beyond expectations! Large rooms 3BR and 3 Baths kept everyone comfortable! The kitchen was fully supplied with anything we needed! Loved have coffee on the lanai each morning. Washer/dryer was very nice to have. Chairs and other beach supplies were provided. I will recommend this place e to anyone who goes to Kauai! So very please with proximity to shopping, food, coffee and the beach!

Kauai Trip
Robert · Mar 2025
First visit to Kauai. Place was better than expected. Perfect for a family of 6. Right up the street from one of the best beaches. I would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful, comfortable, close to everything we needed.
Tina · Mar 2025
We loved the two ensuites as they were at opposite ends of the unit. Perfect for couples sharing the unit. The third bedroom (twin beds) is situated well-spaced from the two ensuites with a bathroom just outside its door. This place would work well for three couples as it is laid out with nice bedroom spacing. Beds and couch are comfortable, and the unit is beautifully decorated. It's a semi-short walk to multiple restaurants, shopping, bakery and coffee and we saw many folks walking by with a Starbucks in hand. A minor point is that the unit is on the entry road to the complex but is still quiet. We would stay here again.
Great place

Two Main suites excellent for multiple couples
Tina D. · Feb 2025
Having two main ensuites at opposite ends of the condo was excellent. The “two twins” bedroom has a bathroom just outside its door and is also well spaced from the other two bedrooms. Nicely appointed, comfortable furniture and beds. Quick drive to many restaurants and Poipu beach . Nice pool. A minor negative: It is right on the main entrance drive.

We loved staying here and would definitely book it again. With three single adults, it was great having 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Close to the beach, shopping, and food. Definitely a repeat booking is in the future.
Definitely would book again!
Laurie B. · Oct 2024
This condo and Pili Mai was the perfect place for 3 single adult family members who all wanted separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Lovely in every way! Only issues were that the dishwasher absolutely wouldn’t clean dishes, no matter how many times we re-ran it, so we hand washed everything. Also the kitchen faucet only runs lukewarm water. Apart from those issues, the place was absolutely perfect for us and we would definitely stay here on a future trip to Kauai.
Beautiful home!

We really loved our stay! Layout and size of unit was perfect for our family of 6 with plenty of space to hang out, prepare and share meals and play games. Kitchen had all the amenities needed and shared grills are just across the street. Location is very convenient driving access to Poipu beach and other island sights. We didn’t use the pool, but it is good sized and an available amenity.

Overall the condo was clean and in nice condition. The bed was very comfortable and overall with size of rooms I had plenty of space! Location was tucked away from the action and it was quiet, which I liked. Walking distance to shops and coffee. Vacasa was very helpful when I could not find the lock box. No bugs, too.
Great stay.

Patricia · Jun 2023
This condo I was immaculate with attention to the details to make a great vacation! Things like ice packs in the freezer for our cooler bag. The beds were very comfortable and the property itself was nicely positioned on the south shore. Although it is not a beachfront or ocean view property the beach access is an easy drive of less than 5 minutes. And the close proximity to Waimea made it a great stay for our adventurous family to do a beautiful boat tour of the Naapali coastline. Btw we highly recommend Makana tours. Also Kauai mountain tubing all very close to this property.
Great Location and Space for Family
Daniel H. · Apr 2023
Our family of six adults (3 generations) had a fantastic week long stay! We were able to easily explore the entire island from this location. Ground floor was great for my parents who are in their 70s. House had everything we needed to cook breakfasts and make snacks / lunches for our day trips to the beach which is a 15-20 minute walk. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay again with a group this size versus multiple hotel rooms. Mahalo!

Amenities, facilities all top tier. Main floor, single story. Nicely spread out and allowed plenty of communal hanging and privacy in your own bedrooms as needed. Absolutely gorgeous condo, huge kitchen and comfy furniture. Would stay here in a heartbeat again
We loved our stay!!
Steve K. · Jan 2023
Upon arrival there was a welcome package containing local favorites including chocolates, granola, cookies, and more! The home was super clean and spacious, a quality home with high-end appliances and nearly everything you could need. Just a note - we arrived after dark and the front door was a bit hard to find, despite a note advising us to walk around to the left. The assigned parking space is basically on the opposite side from the unit's front door, but once we figured it out, it was fine. Such a step up from some of the VRBOs we've stayed at. The pool and hot tub are great features, especially since it gets dark so early in January. They help to fill up the evening hours for both kids and adults. Loved the chickens and roosters. They reminded us of home.

We loved staying ion the South Shore -Po’ipu and Pili Mai was in the center of it all. Close to golf, beaches, shops and great restaurants. Our unit (15A) at Pili Mai had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots and accessories needed. Plastic containers and ice packs were also available for packing lunches.
The condo was very spacious for our party of 5. We all enjoyed having our own bathroom per bedroom.
Despite being next to the entry road to the Pili Mai complex, the condo was quiet (unless you count the roosters who like to crow at every hour of the day -but they are part of the Kaua’ian charm.

Kelsey C. · Apr 2022
This condo is amazing! Plenty of space with double masters and a third bedroom. We loved the easy access since it was on the first floor—never had any issues with noise above or next to us. Plenty of beach toys, accessories, etc! Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Not sure if this was just a temporary thing, but the pool was cold, which wasn’t a huge deal since we spent most our time at the beach anyway. Also for those wondering, there’s a path that takes you down to the beach—can’t imagine it’s more than 1/2 mile. We walked it a lot but not with all the beach stuff, which may be a little much if you have young kids in tow. I’d recommend a rental car if you plan on spending time with kids at poipu (or any other) beach!
Fantastic place for a family!
Aaron S. · Apr 2022
My wife and kids (aged 5, 3, and 1) stayed in five different places over three weeks in Kauai and this was our favorite. The property had multiple bedrooms which meant my wife and I had a master bedroom, the toddlers had a room, and the baby had a room. The pool was perfect with a good size toddler pool, main pool, and hot tub. The location was very convenient to Poipu Beach Park, and the kids loved the sand toys the unit came with. The location was central to the area shopping centers and restaurants. Got a great Waimea Canyon hike in driving from this spot as well. Should we return to Kauai, this will be top of our list!

When we arrived, one of the toilets was not functioning properly and Nancy had the maintenance team out to fix it in less than an hour. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else on island. Mahalo GVR! If you are reading this review, dont debate and book this place. we had a month stay and didnt miss the comforts of home at this condo. Its as advertised, its a newer building, built in the last couple of years. This unit is on the ground floor ( easy access, but you do get some noise from the unit upstairs), easy parking, plenty of space for our family of 5. The location is great as its an easy 10 min walk to the beach or 3 min car ride. The unit has 2 master bedrooms and one smaller bedroom. The condo is well stocked with all you`ll need for a beach vacation: they provide boogey boards, beach chairs, and umbrellas. The kitchen is also well equipped for us to prepare our own meals. We also used the several bbqs the condo community had available. They also have a nice gym and community pool about a 2 min walk from the condo. I also cant say enough good things about the team that supported us from GVR. Navigating thru the covid restrictions was not easy and they were patient, easy to communicate with, and very timely in their responses. We needed some things restocked at the home and they were quick to deliver. Also they were very helpful when our trip needed to be adjusted due to covid lockdowns. The property was good in general. An adjacent condo`s air-conditioning compressor was very noisy and made sleep in the master bedroom difficult. The problem was reported but not resolved during our stay, despite visits by service people.
The Kitchen had the basics but lacked a good variety of glassware and bowls.
The condo complex was well maintained and included a small, fairly well equipped workout room and a nice pool.
Shopping and eating establishments are with a 1/2 mile walk and Poipu beach is within a mile.
I would stay in this condo again. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

The layout and furnishings are top notch. Great to have A/C and the condo has everything you need for your stay - all our kitchen needs were met and the unit had more beach gear you’ll even need! I would definitely use again if we were to come back to Kauai.

I would definitely recommend staying in this unit the AC was on point for us locals that can’t enjoy that luxury as often as we’d like. Very modern and the kitchen was definitely another favorite as I love to cook and bake it was just real damn amazing we give it 5 stars plus. The pool was awesome as well. The only thing I’d say is maintenance should fix the grills on the igniters somehow some way someone will get hurt trying to light that thing

Pili Mai Condo complex is in a great location in the beautiful south shore of Poipu and the 3/3 bath condo unit was in excellent condition and provided all the comforts of home. The owner did not allow use of garage that led direct to condo unit and lugging items such as luggage, groceries, and children was awkward due to distance from single parking stall to condo unit entrance. Was not keen about the 60 day pay in advance or cancel for full refund for a 4 day 3 night stay.

We loved staying here for our time in Kauai. This beautiful ground level condo home is laid out in a way that reallly supports social connection with family and friends. The 3 bed condo comes with an open floor plan and two outdoor areas. I loved that all we needed to do was unpack and add food and friends. The home comes with great extras like beach supplies and a washer and dryer to keep the Kauai red dirt to a minimum. Check in was simple but no early check in or late check out was possible with our reservation. We did have an issue getting onto the WiFi and it was responded to promptly, in a professional manner. and resolved within an hour or two. They have an arrangement to donate any excess unopened food to the food bank which is awesome!

This was one of our best stays during the trip. The house was perfect for three couples. It was spacious beautiful and had a lot of amenities. Had lots of pots and pans and serving utensils. It almost felt like at home. They provided with enough towels and linens. The location was perfect too. It was close to the Poipu beach. Will definitely recommend to friends

Beautiful property with great amenities

We truly enjoyed our stay while in Kauai. Our condo at Pili Mai was so comfortable and it really felt like a second home. I would absolutely stay here again! Also loved having AC in our unit. We were visiting Kauai for a wedding and it was very warm in other people’s condos who did not have any AC. We loved sitting out on the lanai watching the sunrise every morning. Even though it’s not right on the water, it’s literally just a couple minute drive or short walk to the beach.

Amazingly beautiful!
Susan W. · Mar 2017
This property was newly listed and we rented it sight unseen as there weren't even pictures of it yet. What an amazing property!! The condo itself is brand new, high end, and beautiful. The owners did a great job with the furnishings and decorations. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed.
Pili Mai is a newer condo community located on the Kiahuna Golf Course. It is easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and beaches.
This property is so beautiful that I hope future renters appreciate and respect it as much as we did. On the down side (for us) this property was so beautiful that it was tough not to be disappointed as we continued our vacation and arrived at our next rental on Maui. Thank you for a great experience and start to our Hawaiian vacation!!
