Our first time to stay at a private condo on the Big Island. We are hooked! This condo is in a great location! The lanai view on the 3rd floor was beautiful! The grounds are beautiful, close to the pool and the beach. Everything you would ever need for your Hawaiian vacation is provided. You can park your car right outside the unit, we loved that! We loved the close location to the Hilton and shopping, easy parking, and amenities. There were plenty of basic supplies so we didn’t need to waste our time buying household supplies. There were beach chairs and boogie boards that made the trip to the beach nice. I totally recommend staying here.

The lani at the Shores is one of the biggest. There was shade and sun and plenty of furniture. The view of the ponds was beautiful and we had gorgeous sunsets. The condo had everything we needed and was very clean. Anytime we had a question, we got an answer very promptly.

Very beautiful and very clean suite on the top floor of the building. 2 large bedrooms and bathrooms, with a huge lanai. Kitchen has everything one could possibly need. Designated parking is directly in front of the building.

The place was great and well maintained. The location was good as well as the sunset views from the lanai (although between the buildings across the street). It had everything stocked that was needed and did not run out of any supplies. The local area had plenty of restaurant, shops and shopping very close. I would have loved to stay at the condo longer, but already had plans in another location on Hawaii.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The rental is within walking distance to the beach and shopping areas. Truly relaxing in this peaceful setting. Having breakfast on the Lanai was peaceful. The kitchen was well stocked, the bed in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable, and the beach supplies were plentiful. I would highly recommend these accommodations!

Good location with a twenty minute walk to A Bay beach. Pool was lovely, beds were comfortable, showers and bathtub were great. Only downside was lack of salt/seasoning and coffee filters, and there was no filter in the Britta water pitcher, so kitchen wasn’t fully stocked.

Our family truly loved our stay at your VRBO villa at The Shores; thank-you for hosting us.
The unit had pretty much everything as advertised and we hoped for: beautiful views of sunsets, fish ponds, and pool area, a well stocked kitchen, modern bathroom amenities, comfy beds, and providing paper products and dish/laundry cleaners was a nice surprise. The only thing we missed was a cooler-bag for the beach, so we bought one and left it for future guests. Having a BBQ right on the balcony was the only thing we missed, but we knew ahead this was not provided and the community BBQs were excellent quality and only a few minutes walk.
This was our second stay in The Shores community, our first with Vacasa, and we look forward to a 3rd visit hopefully soon.

This property is located in one of the best tourist locations (Waikoloa) on the Big Island and is one of the closest condo developments to the beaches. It is surprisingly roomy and has a very expansive deck which adds to the feeling of spaciousness. It is extremely well equipped, particularly in the kitchen, and it would be easy to cook for several people or entertain with what is provided. The property is very peaceful and quiet and it has peekaboo views of the ocean from the deck. The finishings are very luxurious and the master suite is particularly well done. We used the air conditioning occasionally and it works very well; the rest of the time we had the many sliders and windows open and it was very comfortable. We did a lot of walking from the property to shops, restaurants and beaches - most things are within a reasonable walking distance, but there is also shoreline access parking nearby if you don't want to walk to the beaches. We recommend this property very highly and hope we have an opportunity to return!

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The grounds are impeccable, including the pool which we couldn't get enough of. The sunsets from the deck were incredible! The condo itself was well equipped and very comfortable. Ample towels and space to spread out. There is some general wear and tear that comes with a rental, but nothing was out of repair. One note for those with littles, the 2nd bedroom with twin beds has rather sheer coverings. Would be difficult for naps and makes for early mornings! Plus for littles was the step stool found in the closet to help reach the sink and sand toys! Thank you for the lovely rental!

We vacationed in 10-11/2021 and appreciated having plenty of space/ no crowds in the midst of the pandemic. Please note the official pool rules don't allow water toys. Not sure if it was the pandemic or the time of the year but over half of the times we were the only ones in the pool anyway so in the end, we had a blast. If you have little ones, want to stay put in Waikoloa area and have no wagon to pull them around, do get a rental car- the walking distances to Marriott beach and the market are somewhat inconvenient. The check in/ out and checking on us messages came in conveniently. I'm not keen on vacationing in the same destination twice but if I were to return, I'd rent this place again in a heartbeat.

Easy check in. Property clean and spacious. Lanai is huge. Had everything we needed. Laundry pods, snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach umbrella, beach towels, beach chairs and a rice cooker. Was not lacking for anything except the pool which was still being worked on during out visit. They did have another pool available to us at the property next door. Close proximity to shopping. Designated parking spot was also nice. Visitor parking close and accessible for extra cars if needed.

This property is a great location. Easy walk to beaches, shops and restaurants. We stocked up at Costco. The Gourmet Market is a bit pricey but very well stocked. The pool was under construction but I could not hear a thing inside with windows closed. Sitting on the Lanai after 8am was a bit noisy. I chose to walk to the beaches. Which are beautiful. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our staycation at Waikaloa Shores. First time staying in this complex and loved the location. Walking distance to the bay and the shops (although nothing was really open). The condo is set out with the bedrooms on each side to maximize privacy between couples. Enjoyed the huge master shower! The wrap around lanai is huge and fabulous, although we could only enjoy it early morning and late evening because of the heat. Had a small issue with the AC, but Vacasa was quick to act and handle that for us. Great communication with Stasha. Overall, a great stay in a great condo.

Worked perfectly for our family of four. Unit was clean and the beds were comfortable. Very well stocked with the basic necessities for day to day and beach basics. I would have to disagree with ocean view. The small sliver of water that can be seen if you stand in the right spot on the lanai is not worthy of “ocean view”. Even minus the view I would still 100% book this unit again. Both my young daughters and my husband were happy with our stay.

From the safety of a gated community to the perfectly furnished condo, this stay was perfect in every way. When we arrived the condo was a perfect cool temperature. The window coverings were open so the beautiful view was the first thing that caught our eye. As we settled in, we found that everything we needed was at our fingertips. The furnishings were above average, the beds were extremely comfortable as were the linens. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location is close to shopping, restaurants and the beach. What more could you want.
This is my second stay with a VACASA condo. Both times I have found their rentals are above the rest in being well furnished and clean.

This was our first time staying in Waikoloa and this place was outstanding! Before we arrived a detailed email was sent giving perfect directions on getting to the condo and all the access codes we would need to get in. We had no problem whatsoever. This place was perfect for our family of 4. The living space was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The lanai was where we spent most of our time. There is lots of room to spread out, sit in the chaisse lounge chairs and have meals outdoors. There is a view of the ocean and we observed several beautiful sunsets! The master bedroom was spacious and the master bath was even better! Our young adult daughters had a nice set up on the other side of the condo with twin beds and a bathroom with a shower and large jacuzzi bath. The kitchen was well equiped to make meals at the condo and access to the Island Gourmet or Foodland at Mauna Lani was terrific. The pool is a short walk away and you can see it from the lanai. I have to say we really enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay there again in the future when we visit the Big Island! Richard H.

Large well decorated rooms, comfortable beds and seating, 3 good sized TVs, fully equipped kitchen/dining, including wine/beverage cooler, huge lanai with very nice furnishings including gas grill and bar sink with a peek a boo ocean view and gorgeous sunset views, assigned parking space closest to elevator ... generous closet and pantry space, laundry closet off kitchen ... two really large bathrooms, one ensuite and one semi ensuite ... overall, it's just terrific! Great value.

This unit is spacious and furnished very tastefully. The lanai is huge! The kitchen is quite small but well-stocked, with the exception of a coffee grinder. The master bed is very comfortable and there is a lot of closet, drawer and bathroom counter space. We appreciated the availability of boogie boards and the other beach items. The lanai overlooks mature trees and a pond, there is no ocean view. The pool is also within view from the lanai and it's just a quick walk around the building to get there.

This is a fabulous, artistic, well appointed and furnished condo. It is very comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need. Owner has also provided 2 great beach chairs, towels,1 snorkel set etc. The deck/lanai is where you want to spend most of your time. Gorgeous views, soothing sounds of the waterfall. Wonderful cool breezes. Green and lush. The Shores is perfectly situated in Waikoloa and an easy 15 minute walk to the shore line and beach. The only drawback which has nothing to do with the condo, is the air quality because of the vog and climate change. It was overcast all but one day during our stay. This is NOT the Kona I know. Used to live here between 1979-1981. Very disappointing to see this.

Would come back again. Condo has everything you need with a well stocked kitchen. Very spacious, enough room for family or even 2 couples. BBQ on deck was used every night, so no need to hike out of room to communal BBQ area. Deck also very large with lots of sun for tanning or sit in shade for siesta.

Lots of information about surrounding areas.
Check in was a breeze. Again, great spot, highly recommend this unit!

The Shores is a favorite of ours. The location is perfect for walks around the Waikoloa area, close to beach access and shopping areas. This unit was large, clean and well furnished. The deck is huge and had it's own bar-b-que. The pool is very nice and was not very crowded.

We stayed ten days here and would gladly come back again. The kitchen is well stocked. It could use a few of the tupperware like containers for left overs. We are small eaters and always seemed to have some leftover food for lunch the next day. We made do with some baggies we got at the grocery store so not a biggie. The grill outside worked great and we grilled most dinners. The place is quiet as the building says quiet after 9 pm. The condo is decorated with impeccable taste and is warm and inviting. We went to Hilo for the day and there wasn't much there except for the zip lining. We loved Kona and the great food at the Pineapple restaurant. We would suggest you get most groceries at Walmart or Costco in Kona as the prices are the same as US. The general Store at the King mall is also good for last minute things. The other small stores can give you sticker shock but the locals get a discount of about 30% from the sticker prices which helps them. We loved the grounds at the Hilton and walked there every day until we had seen the whole facility. We attended the Luah at the Marriott in Kona and it truly was the best luah I had been too. The one at the Hilton would probably have been fine but seemed a little tame by comparison. Listening to singers at the Tropics bar right outside the gate was fun and they had great bar food. This is the best condo I have rented world wide. It is really a 10 on a scale of 1 to 5.

We stayed at this lovely condo for 10 nights recently. The unit was as advertised. Two large bedrooms with their own bathrooms, comfortable beds, and a large common area with living room, dining area, and kitchen. The unit was well stocked with the essentials. We particularly liked the large, wrap-around lanai. We were a short walk from the Hilton, Marriott, and the King's Shops, where there were plenty of dining options. I highly recommend this unit and I have no negative comments.

This condo is comfortable, quiet and close enough to walk to the beach, to shopping and to excellent restaurants. Shopping of all kinds is close by (you have options...Wiakoloa Village, The Kings Shops, Queens Shops and Shops at Mana Lani). The condo itself is equipped for cooking and an excellent space for small family (Barbecue on lanai a big plus!) vacation. Lots of local beaches within 20 minute drive for prime snorkeling. The pool is small, but you can often find you will have it all to yourself. Love this place, have vacationed here many times over the last 15 years.

We love this condo! It had everything: comfortable layout for 2 adult couples, great lanai, quiet, beautiful view of gardens and ocean in distance, comfortable beds, comfortable living space and great TV. It is close to shops and an easy walk, yet not to close. The Shores Complex is maticulously maintained, so lovely gardens. Pool and hot-tub are very nice. Kitchen is well stocked, so you are able to cook easily if in the area for a few weeks. We were here for 7 weeks and it felt like home. The Property Manager, Heidi, is great and very responsive to any questions and needs. Waikoloa is close to everything and easy day trips around the island. Thanks for everything!

We have traveled all of the islands and this was our best stay yet! This condo was very clean and well appointed. The decor is beautiful and comfortable. The wrap-a-round lanai was our favorite place to gather in the morning - it was so peaceful to listen to the birds and let the gentle breeze wake us up! in the evenings the lanai gave us a perfect view of the beautiful sunsets every night! What a treat! The condo is very quiet- we slept with the windows open and left the front door open every evening to let the breeze through. There is AC if it gets too hot which is very nice. We have 2 children so we opted for the "two twin bed" option in the guest bedroom which was fantastic for us. We loved having a TV in every room, a well stocked kitchen to cook our own meals, sharp knives!!! :), beautiful bathrooms - the place is perfect. We hope to stay here again and again.
There are 2 beach chairs, sand mats, sand toys, a small beach umbrella, 1 boogie board and 3 pool noodles for your use in the closet. There are also reusable ice packs in the freezer for day use if you bring a cooler with you. There is also a gas grill on the lanai to grill dinner!
Thank you for an amazing vacation! We hope to stay here again. We can't recommend this condo higher!

We have just spent 2 weeks in this condo and were sad to leave. Great location in a lovely complex. The condo is very spacious, well provisioned and we practically lived on the huge, wrap-a-round lanai. The sunsets from the lanai were spectacular and were different every evening. Having our own BBQ on the lanai was a big plus as well. Heidi made sure that all our needs were met and I would highly recommend this unit.

A home in paradise...

We had an amazing stay at the Shores. The condo had everything that we needed. The rooms are huge, the double shower is great, and having a kitchen, washer and dryer really proved useful. The grill on the lanai also played a role in our vacation being super awesome.
We still give it 5 stars and loved staying here but did encounter a couple of things. The cleaners were still here at our check in time and continued to clean for a little over a half hour. The a.c. unit stopped working but Heidi was super helpful and was gonna get somebody in to fix it but we were fine. Also, the bed was a little firmer than I'd like, but that's probably just me.
Quite a few pluses though; they had a ton of extra blankets and towels, everything was completely stocked. We got sunburn while at the pool and I couldn't sleep because my shoulders were super itchy. Luckily there was a huge bottle of anti-itch gel in the medicine cabinet and helped me out big time.
Waikoloa is such an amazing place to stay because everything is so near and this unit and property management group is so great-we definitely plan on staying here(or another one of their properties) again.
Inviting Spacious Comfortable

Someday I hope to stay here again but for longer. The three night minimum fit well into our travel plans; this was the vacation finale after seven other nights over different areas of the island. It exceeded all my expectations and has instilled desire to return to this coast and more fully explore all the area has to offer. It was easy to find, and we passed lovely blooming plumeria as we approached. The fountain vases in the entry way courtyard were relaxing and set the mood for a peaceful stay. There is a very comfortable, well positioned couch in the living area that looks out onto an enormous, sunset facing lanai. The master bedroom wing includes pleanty of bathroom counterspace and has a whole shower area with benches that is perfect for that extra post beach cleanup after the preliminary beach station rinse. There were chilled glasses waiting in the freezer before our arrival, as well as a great well equipped kitchen. I called the property management with a question upon our arrival and got through and was expertly assisted immediately. It was very easy to book and confirm; I experienced that it was clean and well managed overall.

Huge props to Waikoloa Hawaii Vacations for such excellent service and quick with responding. The Shores 323 is exactly as shown and envisioned (admit it, as we all have those pre-conceived thoughts of what we just booked should be). As stated, there are many great restaurants and bars in the area- just a quick walk. There is a grocery store nearby as well. The unit was fully stocked with enough towels in the bathrooms, pots to cook, utensils to use, and dishes for everybody. There is plenty of room in the Unit- the master bath is huge! My most favorite part of the unit, though, is the wrap around lanai with the bbq. This place could not be any more perfect.
