Perfect Location
This is was our second stay at Hanalei Bay Resort and our first stay in this unit that is managed by Vacasa. We love the north shore location of HBR. The main pool, tennis, pickleball, hot tub, grounds, and of course the fabulous views are hard to beat. There are 2 on-site restaurants, as well.This second floor unit is very spacious (2 bedroom, 2 bath). Looks just like the photos. I do wish there was a 2 twin option that converted to a king for a family of 4, but I understand they do have the option to rent each bedroom separately as a lock-off. The third part of this unit was rented to very loud people staying a few of our 7/nt stay (so not sure how thick the walls are between each lock-off). As for the management company, they promptly replied to all of my questions before and during my stay. However, some of their answers about this specific unit were incorrect. I was told no washer/dryer, no hair dryers, no beach chairs. All were in the unit. Washer/dryer question was confirmed to be in the unit by a different rep., thankfully (because that is a must for us). We had a conversation about the hair dryers (being a vacation rental owner myself, I thought this it was very odd to not supply them in HI due to having to fly to HI). We show up, there are hair dryers in both bathrooms and beach chairs in closet. Upon arrival tv remotes were all mixed up/batteries low/dead. Management said they would drop off batteries, but never showed up. Best part-balcony w/gorgeous views!
Spectacular North Shore Views!
Family of 4, our second week- long stay in this resort.
Located in Hanalei Bay Resort on the north shore of Kauai, this second floor 2 bed/2 bath condo was as described in listing and photos. Views are better than photos show. :)
You do have to climb stairs, but I think people on ground level had some issues with mosquitoes. Personally, we like the third floor better(high ceilings, no one walking above you, but still better than ground floor).
Vacasa was very prompt in their replies to my questions before and during our stay. However, they did give some incorrect info (saying no washer/dryer, hair dryers, or beach chairs). The condo had all upon our arrival. They definitely should confirm things like this before discussing with future guests.
The condo is located in one of the best buildings in the complex, IMO. It’s not too far from parking and has wonderful views from inside and from the balconies. The condo does have a lot of furniture-might clear out a few things to make it more updated and even more spacious. The walls are not very thick between this condo and the lock-off next door (heard every word of very loud guests’ early morning and late night conversations during my part of our stay). The resort itself charged high resort fees and daily parking. But, they keep the grounds in pristine condition and provide golf cart rides to and from your condo if needed (great for moving luggage). The main pool, hot tub, tennis and pickleball courts, fire pits, sunset and mountain views and overall feel of the resort are wonderful! I do wish owners would provide (cheap) tennis rackets, but you can rent them onsite. There are 2 onsite restaurants-spent our first night on island/22nd anniversary at Happy Talk. :)
All in all it was a great stay in this condo.
We love Hanalei Bay Resort and hope to return again in the near future.
