Transit

Getting around Kona is easiest with a rental car, which allows you the freedom to explore the beautiful Big Island at your own pace. We provide free parking on the premises for your convenience. While public transportation options like the Hele On bus service are available in the area, they may have limited schedules. Kona International Airport is approximately a twenty minute drive from the condo, making your arrival and departure straightforward.

FBI Surf School is only two miles away with terrific surfing lessons from knowledgeable and friendly instructors who'll get you up and crashing waves in no time.

Access to the unit is via stairs, as there is no elevator available. For your convenience, we provide an independent check in experience with an electronic lock. As our guest, you have full access to shared resort facilities, including the swimming pool, hot tub, and beautifully landscaped gardens. On site laundry facilities are also available in addition to the private in-unit washer and dryer to ensure a comfortable stay.

Nice compact single bedroom in tourist area. Third floor so only rent if you ok with stairs. Ac was a bit weak.

A Nice Stay-cation

We are from the Big Island, so we appreciated an affordable way to take our ohana on a stay-cation. The first impression was that the residence was much smaller than it looked in the pictures! It was cozy, maybe better for 2 adults and maybe 2 younger kids. But it was cute and clean, and had nice decor inside. It was 3 stories up, so keep that in mind if you don't like stairs! We appreciated the exercise. The livingroom TV was pretty small, but there was also a small TV in the bedroom. I guess we are all accustom to huge TV's but we were there to enjoy the beach anyways! Nice dishes, great microwave, and the wifi was fast. The pool wasn't huge, but fun and clean, located in the front building (this residence is across the street, not oceanfront) so you had to cross the street to get there. We used one of the bbq pits on the beachfront (first come first serve for bbq's). The kids fished and caught almost 30 shorefist! It's a great place to fish right off the rock wall for shorefish. The staff at Bali Kai were very friendly and the parking was free for 2 guests! That's impossible to find in Kona. All in all I think it was a very nice place and a nice stay; cozy, but still nicer and cheaper than a hotel!
