Beautiful place to stay. Perfect location with pool right across the street. One of the best VRBO's we have ever stayed at. Many people have left items for use. There are boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, tent, motion sick glasses, towels!

Enjoyed our stay
Crystal · Oct 2024
We were very happy with this home. The space for our family of 5 was perfect. The grounds were lovely and the pool was fantastic! The kitchen had basic dishes and was equipped with the necessities for cooking. The washer and dryer worked great. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of towels and extra blankets. The location was amazing, very close to lots of good food spots and shopping and beaches. The home was clean. I took one star away because the home needs a lot of basic maintenance. The paint on most walls is terribly scuffed. The sofa has actual holes in the upholstery. The back lanai furniture is in rough shape. All that said, we still were happy with the home.

Great Expirience at Pili Mai
BRITTANY C. · Sep 2024
We loved the cleanliness and convenience of this condo. We were traveling with 7 people and found this slept everyone comfortably and had everything we could have needed. Everything was clean and laid out well, they were up front about all the rules etc. so that made it easy. The beds were comfortable, having A/C was wonderful, the location was good and we even had a small view of the ocean. For the price i think it was worth it! The hosts were responsive even though we only contacted once. They had beach toys and towels which made all our beach days great! Check in and out were a breeze and overall we would stay here again and again!

I have never written a review before but felt the need to share. I was going back and forth between renting a unit on the other side of the complex or this one because there was a significant price difference. I went with this one which was more and was so glad I did! The view overlooking the golf course, seeing the ocean on one side and mountains on the other was incredible! The lanai and view made the entire space feel very open with beautiful scenery all around. The place was very clean, stocked with all essentials (dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, etc), large sofa and table for everyone to gather. We didn’t spend a ton of time in the home because we were out and about but when we there it was fabulous. Very spacious for our family of 6 adults. I highly recommend this unit! Mahalo! :)

Location
Great family spot
Kyle L. · Feb 2024
This location is one of the best in the Pili Mai Resort. The first floor of the residence is technically on the second floor. There are two large sliders that open from the dining/living room areas to a large second story patio that overlooks the 9th hole on the Kiahuna Golf Course. The views from the patio are of a good portion of the golf course with the ocean in the background. We had several other family members staying at other residences on the property and they all seemed to be a little jealous of our patio. We spent most of our time in the residence, on the patio. This residence is also in the same area as the pool and hot tub, so it wasn’t a trek to the pool like some of the other family members had to do. There were beach toys, life jackets, and beach chairs already on site, which helped lessen our packing. There are LOTS of chickens in the area. I would not sleep with the window open if you don’t want a rooster to wake you up at 3am. But being on the second floor, you won’t have to deal with the chickens walking i to your rental like the first floor has to. There were lots of towels and beach towels available. Everything you need to cook meals is there already, to include Tupperware for leftovers. Our family would rent this place again if we’re ever back in the area.

Perfect Paradise Retreat
Natalie · Nov 2023
Pili Mai is a beautiful community. The home was immaculate and spacious, perfect for our 8 guests. There was a gift waiting on the kitchen counter for us when we arrived that was very thoughtful. The kitchen was well stocked, including a rice cooker, slow cooker, blender and coffee maker. The view of the golf course, the ocean in the distance, sunsets, and the surrounding mountains are stunning from the lanai. Location near the pool was nice for our children. Having beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkel gear and coolers was so very convenient. It's a short drive to Brennecke's beach, where you can watch the sunrise and sunset. Little Fish is right down the street if you're looking for coffee or yummy açaí bowls, get there early to avoid standing in long line. The spigot next to the garage was very convenient for washing off sandy feet. There is only parking for 1 vehicle at the house, if there are more vehicles, they will need to park in visitor parking. Would definitely stay here again! Mahalo Kaua'i for your hospitality. A hui hou kakou.

There were so many beautiful homes in Pili Mai. I chose this one because of the wonderful lanai views of the golf course, palm trees and ocean. I also liked the beautiful white bedding and well appointed rooms. Great location by the pool, too. We used the porta crib, beach chairs and small cooler for our beach trip. TV's in each room was a perk, too.

This home is modern and spacious. Large, gorgeous kitchen and large bedrooms. We really enjoyed the lanai which was big enough to seat our party of 6 for dinner and also had a lounge area on the side. Quiet property, very close to the pool.

Villa was exactly as pictured and described. Enjoyed being on the golf course and having mountain and ocean views in the distance. Villa was very clean and provided plenty of space for our family of 5. We walked to beach several times (20 minutes) but preferred to drive and were able to find parking at all the nearby beaches.

Fantastic Unit
Nancy and Toby M. · May 2023
Absolutely a fantastic place to stay.
Pros:
1. Three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, laundry facilities are a huge plus.
2. Location close to the pool for teenagers, a huge plus.
3. The views! Looking out across the golf course, you can see the ocean and mountains.
4. The beach chairs, day cooler, boogies boards, and toys are awesome.
5. Very clean unit, nice beds/linens, wonderful simple decor, and the kitchen is well supplied with dishes, etc.
6. Loved having designated parking spot.
7. Staff left us a note with chocolates and snacks for our trip.
8. Easy drive to local beaches. Or a nice walk for walkers. Not an easy stroll. So don't plan on sipping cofffee at the beach on your walk.
Cons:
1. Although the views from the golf course are amazing, there are general noises associated with maintenance of the facilities.
2. A golf ball hit the side of the condo, it was LOUD!
3. The washer isn't balanced, so it often makes noises when in use.
4. The ease at finding the parking and unit in the dark while raining was challenging.
5. Not close enough to the ocean to hear or watch the waves.
6. One of the boogie boards need the leash replaced and is sort of in dispreair. But it works for just floating in the ocean.
7. Don't recommend for those who can't navigate stairs.
I loved this unit and highly recommend it for families. If you prefer to sit outside and watch the ocean, you may need to look for a different unit. Mahola
Spacious home close to the community pool
Nancy and T. · May 2023
We loved this home. The three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms was nice. Definitely took advantage of the provided beach items and the washer/dryer. Location near the pool was nice for our teenager. It’s a short drive to local beaches and if you like to walk, probably a good walk too. Not close enough to the beach for a stroll though. The views include the ocean (not the beach) and the mountains.
Amazing condo and perfect location!
Brendan S. · May 2023
This condo exceeded all our expectations! The view from the Lanai out over the golf course and down to the ocean was beautiful! The location of the condo near the pool was perfect. The condo itself was spotless and the perfect place for our family of 8. This is by far the best condo we’ve ever stayed at and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kauai!
Amazing condo!
Brendan · May 2023
The unit was immaculate, spacious, well stocked, with a PERFECT view of the ocean from the Lanai. The location is also incredible…close to everything on Poipu, Lawai and Koloa, but tucked away and quiet. This unit is also right by the pool which was very convenient. I would stay here again and again!

This was such a lovely home. It was very well stocked, very clean and really inviting. There were two families of four staying there together and there was plenty of room for all of us.
It is in a great location and this unit is close proximity to the pool.
It felt like home away from home! Loved it!

Exceeded expectations
Elise W. · Jan 2023
The pictures do not do it justice. The view of the golf course, the ocean in the distance, sunsets, and the surrounding mountains is stunning. We were just blown away as soon as we walked in. The unit is spacious, our party of eight people were quite comfortable, and we did not feel like we were on top of each other. The kitchen is well stocked and included a blender, coffee maker, waffle maker, plenty of dishes, silverware, pots and pans, etc.. There was also toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, and dishwasher detergent in the unit. Plenty of towels, beach chairs, etc. Great location about a five minute drive from Poipu Beach and an easy walk to shops and restaurants. Highly recommend

We own at the Marriott nearby but needed a bigger space and we were a bit worried about how we would like a new location and condo. We were very happy! The condo was spacious, spotless, comfortable beds, and we enjoyed the lanai and the view. The pool was perfect for a toddler and was never too crowded. I would highly recommend this property. The management company was very efficient and prompt with any questions and requests.

Beautiful property. Immaculate and smooth self check in process. Nice great room to hang out for friends and family and the lanai is large with beautiful views to the ocean. Rooms are spacious and had more than enough space for our family of four. Enjoyed meals there. Owners are thoughtful to supply all you need for cooking, laundry and beach supplies. Boogie boards, igloo, beach chairs & umbrella in the closet. My family & I were sad to leave this beautiful place and island. We would definitely stay here again!

Great house!! Great location!! Loved the house—had everything we needed!! Beautiful pool!! Best vacation ever!! I would love to go back someday!!
Thank you
Caitlin B. · Mar 2022
Your home was perfectly equipped with everything we needed. Very clean and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again. The walk down the road to the Kiahuna Plantation's beach was so great... a highlite! And, right across from the pool was a treat for my kids (and not loud or even audible from inside the condo if you're not with kids :)

Great View of Golf Course

The bedrooms were great with good beds. We were glad it was on the second floor to avoid the morning roosters (common in Kauai). It would be nice if they added an ottoman in the family room but we had a great experience.

We had a wonderful stay at your property! It is the best rental I’ve stayed at in Kauai so far! Very clean, very well decorated! I would definitely stay here again! Thanks for letting us use your beautiful place!

I can't say enough good things about this property. The home was immaculately clean and had amazing views of the golf course and the ocean in the distance. Sunsets off the back lanai were AMAZING. Sunrises on the master lanai are equally as amazing. The home is located only minutes from some of the best beaches and shopping on the island. I want to stay here every time I visit!

We enjoyed the condo, it was well appointed with plenty of towels and kitchen equipment. Having 3 bathrooms for 4 people was so nice! The view of the golf course was great!
Awesome

Property is beautiful, clean, and very spacious. It’s literally equipped with everything you need. They also provide you with shampoo & conditioner ( big bottle) that will last your entire stay. This was a “staycation” for my family and I and this is hands down the best place we stayed at so far. We will be returning again (to this specific unit)
Awesome place to stay!
Patricia B. · Jul 2021
Very clean and well-equipped place. Comfortable beds. Great location. Good view across golf course to ocean from large lanai. Only one parking spot allotted and visitor parking can be spotty at times if you have more than one vehicle. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect vacation spot!
Jess T. · Sep 2020
Unit was immaculate and easy to access upon arrival. Kids had a blast with their own rooms, and TV in each room. Plenty of utensils, pots, starter cooking condiments and LOTS of great smelling soap, shampoo and conditioner in all bathrooms. The unit is modern and new, as if you were the first to book a stay. Great pool, hot tub and baby pool for everyone in our group. Amazing views from lanai was the best part of this unit! Will definitely be back for more staycations.
Great place! Worth the stay!! Mahalo

Stay impacted by Hurricane Douglas
Diana T. · Jul 2020
Very beautiful accommodations! Clean, spacious. Would have liked to have a few more blankets for the beds. Only 3 blankets available for 4 beds and pull out bed in living room. Also, pool had to be closed down on Sunday, 07/26/20, due to Hurricane Douglas preparations. Your beautiful pool facilities was one of the main reasons for our stay at Pili Mai. Any chance we could get a complimentary one day access to use the pool on a Saturday or Sunday ?
Beautiful place to stay

House was amazing and pictures didn't do no justice. Central AC was amazing also. Pool located directly in front of building and golf course behind. Food and drinks just a couple of minutes down the road.

This condo is amazing. The location is great, it is immaculate and had great amenities. It really is nicer than the pictures! We ended up staying there the week the Corona virus hit. We couldn’t have asked to be in a better place. It worked perfect for 8 of us.

Feb 2020
We frequently stay in vacation rentals, and this was one of our best experiences. The condo is well located in Poipu, and the complex is great, with a kid friendly and heated pool. A workout center is well equipped (but only open after 8am).
Aside from all that, what makes this condo so exceptional was how well stocked it was. We cook most of our meals while traveling, and the kitchen was thoughtfully stocked, with far more useful appliances (coffee grinder! Blender!), and better quality cookware and knives than we would typically find in similar rentals. The garage was also thoughtfully stocked with beach chairs and a few beach toys.
A really nice bonus was that this stuff wasn’t just the junk left from previous renters, but was in good condition and seemed carefully selected for usefulness.
The icing on the cake was an excellent check in process complete with an amazing (and useful) check in package from the rental company.
Overall I can’t recommend highly enough.
Owner`s Response:Thank you so much Sarah. We too rented while visiting Kauai for over 30 years. We wanted our home to feel like your home when you are there. Your kind words are appreciated. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

We had a great time during our honeymoon and hope to come back to our favorite island again soon. This is the second time we have booked with Great Vacation Retreats and they`ve been great yet again! Our rental was great - location is perfect and easy, whole space was very clean, plenty of pans and plates to cook dinner a few times during our stay, and good views of the golf course and the ocean! Definitely will be planning on using Great Vacation Retreats!

This was by far the best Airbnb experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve had many, and almost all of them of been good or great. This property is actually even nicer than what the pictures indicate. The beds are all comfortable. The layout of the space is perfect for hanging out or having breakfast or happy hour and looking out across the golf course to the ocean. Easy parking. Easy walk to the beach. The pool and small gym were great. Easy walk to restaurants, coffee shop, breakfast places, and small gift shops. The host is communicative and extremely responsive, even on the weekend. We had six adults in our group and we were absolutely comfortable. We really loved this place.

This place was amazing. We had 5 adults and 2 children. It was a great location! Literally 2 minutes from the beach, shopping centers, and restaurants. The pool was right in front of us. It was also a great size. Everything was clean and up to date, and very nicely decorated. And the view was the best part. Definitely would stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.

Pili Mai was perfect for our family vacation. The condo was spacious, clean and very comfortable. It was like stepping into a perfectly furnished, brand new home. We enjoyed the views of the golf course and the ocean while sitting out on the lanai.
The kitchen had everything we needed; the waffle maker was a pleasant surprise. It was also great to have a fully outfitted laundry room; it was nice to know that we would always have clean clothes and towels after trips to the beach. We were very appreciative of the supply of soaps, lotions, detergents, etc.
Also, the provided beach gear (chairs, umbrella, boogie boards) was a nice amenity.
The location was perfect - close to many restaurants/eateries and shopping in Po’ipu area. We would definitely stay here again!

You can expect a place you don`t want to leave. It is right on the golf course. Nice rooms, a lot of space, wonderful kitchen. Close to the beach and close to Paco`s Tacos. Very welcoming! Wonderful stay, beautiful property, loved the pool and the access to the athletic club. The condo had great central AC, outdoor living spaces and the beds were cozy and there were plenty of pillows, blankets and towels for both the shower and pool. Beach chairs, lotion, shampoo, and conditioner were also provided. Great Vacation Rentals responded very quickly with any questions we had. The property is less than a mile from Poipu Beach and several shopping locations. It`s also about 20-30 minutes from the airport, Costco, and a great Safeway. Just an awesome location! We will be back!
