Property was fantastic for our stay. We have stayed at Poipu Shores several times in the past. This unit is very private. We spent a lot of time on the large back patio. We enjoyed watching the turtles, hearing the waves crash, and saw several dolphin pods right from the patio.

Fantastic Beach Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location is fantastic. Easy walking distance to the beach. Restaurants and shops closeby. Salt water pool was wonderful. Best part was falling asleep to the waves crashing on the cliffs. Beds were comfortable and showers were great. We highly recommend this home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. Walking distance to the beach, easy access to the airport, restaurants and activities. The unit was clean, the beds were comfortable and the showers were great. It was amazing falling asleep to the waves crashing on the cliffs. Based on reviews, I was worried about the parking situation. It was never a problem for us. We rented a BMW five series and had no issues.

The condo is clean & updated. We felt very comfortable there with plenty of room for our party of 4. The washer & dryer was a plus.

This house had everything we needed for our 5 night stay! The views of the ocean were amazing! You could hear the waves crashing on the lava rocks and we enjoyed watching the turtles swim in the water. The house was clean and office staff was friendly and helpful. Great location - very close to Poipu beach. It was a great home base to explore the island. Will definitely stay here again if we have the chance to come back!

This condo was perfect for our needs. It was quiet. The view was spectacular. It was so nice to sit and watch sea turtles while drinking a cup of coffee. The condo included beach chairs and boogie boards, which was very helpful. It is just a short walk to Poipu Beach. Overall, the condo was perfect and I would love to get a chance to stay here again sometime soon.

What you see on this listing is what you get, and it's all wonderful. We loved the waves breaking on the lava and watching sea turtles in the surf below. The unit had everything you could want and a lot of extras. Beach chair, cooler, snorkeling gear, etc.
Kauai stay
Michael H. · Apr 2025
loved this place for quiet and proximity to beach. I would suggest a little loving care is needed. The ice machine was broken, the lock on the door didnt lock, but a handyman came and fixed it, very nice guy. Also the screen door downstairs needed replacing. I would love to have more plastic food containers for storage and plastic cups for patio use, also need updating to beach chairs, umbrella and cooler for the beach. these arent a huge deal breaker, would just make for a perfect stay. we plan on returning next year and would love to stay again. we liked the entire set up of the condominium complex. thanks for a great vacation. maholo cynthia

Nice, roomy property in a beautiful location. Comfortable living spaces. Kitchen fairly well stocked. Extra large patio area was a great bonus...being on the end made property feel very private.Poipu shores is in a great location, walkable to beaches and close to most places in Poipu. Complex is a little dated, parking is tight and a bit limited. Pool is nice but cold as heater was broken when we visited. People with disabilities may have a difficult time here given the access from parking lot. But overall I'd highly recommend this property and this unit in particular.
Love!

This is the second time we booked this condo and plan to book again. Location, view, just the right space. Only a Karen would complain bc everything was perfection.
Lovely oceanfront condo
Darren · Jan 2025
It is hard to beat the location of this condo on the ocean with nearby Poipu and Brennecke's beaches only a 5-10 minute walk. The views from the upper and lower patios are wonderful, and I think they are the nicest from 101C compared to the rest of the property. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could give a 1/2 star, but I think the value for the money is a little lower than I expected. I found the A/C units finicky - it didn't feel as though the temperature in the room matched the displayed temperature, and the units blew very cold air in one spot in the room. Although they cooled down the rooms quickly, it was hard to find the right temperature balance in the upstairs master. The full kitchen was nice to have, but we had to remind our kids to shut both fridge doors completely as one side almost always popped open when the other was closed. I think the Poipu Shores property would beneifit from additional information/signage pointing out things like the private beach path and recycling center, and I found the narrow parking spots extremely difficult for parking when the lot was full. It would also greatly increase my desire to stay here again if the pool had lights that allowed it to stay open open after sunset as our kids love to swim at night.

Condo on Poipu shores
Myriam · Jul 2024
Condo is conveniently located near popular beaches such as Poipu beach. The view from the condo is absolutely amazing. It is at the top of a cliff directly above the ocean. We could see the turtles swimming in the turbulent waters. Condo was clean and functional. We stayed for 3 nights. Nice private outdoor area overlooking the ocean. Overall a very nice stay. Thank you.
Amazing Property!
Andrew · Jun 2024
This property was a dream come true for our family vacation! Extremely well managed and maintained. Wonderful amenities and spectacular views! You'll love having breakfast on the patio and watching the sea turtles ride the waves in the adjacent cove. Easy 5-minute walk to Brennecker Beach (great for bodysurfing) or Poipu Beach (best for small children). Beach chairs, boogey boards, and an umbrella provided. Property also provides bath products and a nice welcome gift of island treats! Individual AC units in the bedrooms and living area kept the spaces cool and comfortable. Strong wifi to stay connected (if necessary). Parking lot is VERY tight, but we were able to park our Grand Cherokee without too much trouble. Property, grounds, and pool were extremely well maintained. Never saw a piece of trash anywhere. So easy to get into a vacation routine, it'll feel like home in no time! Highly recommended.

As someone who obsesses over reviews and accommodation choices I will say this exceeded my expectations! There was not one other property that I saw on this island that I thought had a better view. Turtles, stars, waves, lava rock, yes please. It’s easily walkable to 2 awesome beaches: one calm, one for boogie boarding. Great layout, the only bed that hasn’t hurt my back in years, well equipped kitchen, private. Parking is the only downfall. Knowing this ahead of time plan on a smaller car if you can or have your people get out before parking. We are a family of 5 so we had a little larger vehicle. Save yourself time and just book it! I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming!

You feel the serenity as soon as you walk into this place. From the balcony and patio you are treated to the soothing sounds of the ocean waves, endless hours of turtles and whales, and the most gorgeous sunsets. It’s spectacular. Customer service is very attentive to any question or concern.

The condo is on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The waves would crash in all day and we would see the whales breach from the lanai while watching the sunset When we booked the house we hadn't realized how close we were to the beach. We were able to walk to a gorgeous beach that had many large turtles swim up and sunning themselves each day. It was all magical.

Very minimal internet and cable TV
linda · Apr 2023
I would give this property a 5 if not for the nearly non functional internet, so twenty plus minutes to download the Seattle Times, some emails would not open, could not download a movie for the plane ride home. The TV would run for 5 minutes, then freeze. If that is not important to you then this place is ideal. The turtles are just below in the cove EVERYDAY! So fun to watch. The condo is updated and very well appointed. The beach out front is not for swimming, but Poipu beach and Brenneckes are close by.

Amazing views, can even see the ocean while taking a shower! Loved sitting on the patio and watching the huge sea turtles. Condo was beautiful and appears to be newly remodeled. Unit equipped with AC and washer/dryer. Only issues that can easily be fixed, coffee machine did not work and had several cockroaches within the unit (one on the TV).

This condo is situated in the bluff above the ocean that makes for literally makes the ocean directly your back door. The views are amazing and the 24/7 sound of the ocean waves was so calming.. Seeing green turtles, manta rays, spinner dolphins was also an incredible bonus! Love the quaintness of the grounds: only two buildings of accommodations makes for a more private, quiet, chill experience. The pool on the edge of the ocean was amazing too!

We stayed in this home for over week and everything was exceptional! The home is well stocked with everything we needed for the entirety of our stay. The property Managment was very kind and responsive. But none of that compares to the most incredible views. We spent every morning drinking coffee on the back patio and every evening watching the turtles in the cove below. Our kids enjoyed playing in the green space and the pool. 10 out of 10 would come back and rebook this property.

We had such an amazing stay in this beautiful unit at Poipu Shores. The Condo was even better than expected. Loved the spacious kitchen, living room, seperated upstairs bedrooms and the amazing views from the balcony off the master bedroom. Felt very much like home away from home. The outdoor patio was the best spot on the entire property, at the end, private and offered great views. We enjoyed watching the turtles in the cove all day. Perfectly located to Poipu Beach as well as walking paths to the Grand Hyatt and Shipwreck Beach. This was a family vacation celebrating our senior graduate and accommodated our family of 4 perfectly. I can't wait to return!!!!

Turtles and dolphins and whales - oh my!
Susan Q. · Dec 2019
Beautiful end unit with gorgeous sunset views. We saw all manner of ocean life from the patio, including turtles playing in the surf right below us. The master bedroom and bath were beautiful, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The neighbors are residents and were very kind to us, offering to let us borrow spices and such if we needed them. Easy walk to the sand beaches in Poipu. All in all, a great place to stay.
FYI - The second smaller bedroom is in the back without the ocean view - it might be better for kids than for a second couple.

Thank you for such a great home. We love the location and the modern style of the home. The end unit is great with privacy and quietness. The kitchen has everything that we would need to prepare a few hardy meals during our stay.
Would definitely come back!

Great Poipu property.

We stayed 5 nights in July. The condo was exactly as described. Recently remodeled and very nice. The best feature of the property is the second floor balcony overlooking the ocean. We saw multiple green sea turtles any time we looked, floating on the waves. Several times we saw groups of manta rays swimming by. The condo is well stocked with beach gear and we didn't need to rent anything. It's a short 10 minute walk to the beach. The majority of the restaurants we went to are a less than 10 minute drive from the property. Overall wonderful experience. We would definitely stay again in the future.
Beautiful condo in Poipu

We loved everything about this condo - privacy, beautiful, perfect for a family of four, location, well-stocked kitchen and I’ve never slept better on vacation with the sounds of the surf and crashing waves. Would love to go back again and again.

Couldn't have asked for a better stay at 101C. Place has everything and is well maintained, AC works great! Place is almost too nice to where you don't want to leave so might be better off renting your 2nd time to Poipu which was the case for us. The property overall is well kept and the pool was very nice. I will stay here again whenever visiting Poipu. Better than any room you could get at the Grand Hyatt next door.

The condo was beautiful, very clean and lots of extra touches. We were celebrating a 25th wedding anniversary and arrived to champagne and. a anniversary balloon , it was a very thoughtful surprise. You couldnt ask for a better view and falling asleep to the crashing waves each night was a dream. If we are ever back to Kauai we would definitely stay here again.

Exceeded every expectation. The Patio!
Erin E. · Feb 2019
We just returned having stayed at this property 2/2/19-2/10/19. Magical.
The place is so clean, incredibly updated and perfect for the two of us. It would easily accommodate a family of 4. The unit was an easy walk to the parking, grill and pool. This condo is worth any extra $ for it's location and updated interiors, it is incredibly safe and well lit. It is an end unit which really is fantastic, the two bedrooms are upstairs and it has 3 bathrooms!!! My husband commented daily that they kitchen had everything, lots of cooking tools, plenty of glasses both plastic (pool worthy) and regular... We have rented several houses/condos in the past and this one is one of the best.
The Patio. I had a hard time wanting to explore the island because this Patio is everything. We saw turtles anytime we wanted to look for them. The dinner cruise we took actually passed by our place to look at "our whales" that is how often we could see a spout in the distance. I even saw a whale jump one night at dusk. The sunsets are remarkable we joked about why did we bother with the sunset cruise- it was "our sunset" where the boat again slowed down to take in the view.
The bed is super comfy (we both prefer a firm (not hard) mattress), bathroom is gorgeous. The washer and dryer were a perk and are nicer than our own at home. Books, lawn chairs. plenty of towels... everything we needed was waiting for us.
We can't wait to stay here again and have told all of our family and friends. It is a great location easy walk to two family beaches. We snorkeled and saw more turtles than any other trip.
We cooked in almost every night, easy access to Amazon prime allowed us to catch up on some movies. Walks in the am, sundowner drinks at night with postcard perfect view. What more could anyone want!
The company was so wonderful to work with. Literally everything was perfect. Thank you for making our trip so easy.
Amazing location! We saw turtles and whales everyday.

We stayed in this beautifully updated unit from 12/7/18 -12/15/18 and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The ocean views were amazing; the beds were comfortable; the unit was very clean; the kitchen supplies were all top notch; beaches were close by, etc., etc. The management company, Great Vacation Resorts, was wonderful and provided excellent service and communication.

This house has the most super fantastic view in the entire island of Kauai. The sea turtles were a treat too. The house is very nicely decorated. We definitely recommend this house.
