Neighborhood

The neighborhood:
Princeville sits on Kauai's dramatic North Shore, with green ridgelines, golf fairways, and the road down to Hanalei all close by. Princeville Center is useful for groceries and a quick meal, while Hanalei town brings beachside dining, surf culture, and a wider choice of shops. Anini Beach is a favorite for calmer snorkeling conditions, and Hanalei Bay gives families a broad stretch of sand to explore. This is a scenic, drive-friendly base for travelers who want Kauai's wet, green side and easy access to the North Shore's best-known beaches.

Transit

Getting around:
Lihue Airport is about 40 minutes away via a scenic drive along Kauai's coast. A rental car is highly recommended since the North Shore's beaches, restaurants, and Hanalei's shops are spread out. Princeville itself offers walkable access to some shops and dining, while beaches like Hanalei Bay are a short drive. Parking is typically available in lots or driveways at most properties.

I wish every host managed their property like this! So thoughtful to make the experience great. Missed nothing in the kitchen. Having spices, sandwich bags, coffee filters, foil, all makes a difference for travelers. Hand soap at every sink, shampoo, etc. Nice beach chairs and umbrellas that seemed new. Nice washer and dryer. Cooler and grocery bags to borrow. AC was perfect. There is outside construction but you will not care about that once you’re in the home. Beautiful bathrooms with plenty of towels, including beach towels. We had a great time!

Modern Unit with Great Location

Kristy · Apr 2026

Unit is well appointed with everything needed for a nice stay. Furnishings are nice and better than most vacation rentals. Bathroom are modern and everything was clean. Location is great to walk to beach, One Hotel and not far from many restaurants.

Super comfy 2br condo with all the amenities. Yes, there was a concern with the exterior construction happening during the visit but it was acute to our experience. The beds were soft but reasonable with clean linens. Plenty of bath towels as well as pool towels. Decor was traditional but getting weathered from years of use. Washer/dryer worked perfect and truly appreciated the laundry soap. I especially liked the soft cooler shopping bags for the long drive to the stores in Kapaà and Lihue, and the leftover spices and oils left from previous vacationers. My overall experience was an A++. I would definitely stay in this golf course view condo again. Oh, and the pool and working spa was a pleasant surprise. 🙂
