We stayed in this condo from March 21 – April 1 2012. Let me sum up the visit in one word – AMAZING!!! I will give more details below.
The condo:
Located on the south shore in the Poipu area it is in a fabulous location. The south shore is very sunny, even on iffy days this area gets amazing sun in the afternoons. The condo is newly renovated, and super clean. The furniture is really comfortable. The kitchen comes with all the essentials, including a blender (for frosty smoothie drinks). There are 2 bathrooms and the master bath is HUGE. There is lots of counter space and the shower is VERY spacious. The view — stunning. From the family room and kitchen and nook you have stunning views of the ocean and Shipwreck Beach. You also have a great view of the pool. The pool is quite big and there are lots of lounge chairs. We never had a problem getting 2 together. Down by the pool there are gas BBQ’s. As a tip we brought walkie talkie so that we could communicate over the cooking hour. 🙂 The pool is really close by. The condo has a TV with all the channels you could possibly want. Also there is WIFI. In the storage compartment outside there is everything that you would need for the beach. Oh, almost forgot, it comes with washer and dryer. So fabulous!!! The condo has many windows that open on a louvre system. The trade winds blow right through and keep the place cool. There is no AC.
Things to Check-Out:
We would definitely recommend a trip up to the north shore, in fact more than once. The beaches and scenery up there are breathtaking. For shopping there are some great shops in the Poipu area. Starbucks is a 5 minute drive from the condo. Also, there is a small grocery store that is a 5 min drive away from the condo. The island does have a Costco and Safeway — these are a bit further away.
The boat cruise with Captain Andy up the Napali Coast was amazing. We saw turtles, dolphins and whales up close and personal. Make sure to book this early. Also, Beach House Restaurant was our favourite, and is great for the sunset view. We booked this before we left. Good thing we did. They fill in fast.
The Fern Grotto tour is worth it if you have not been before.
Nice to walk to Shipwreck Beach (5 min from condo).
