We arrived on a late afternoon, in time for the beautiful sunset off of the deck. With a glass of wine in our hands, we drew a deep sigh, listened to the waves, watched the sunset — and RELAXED! The property has beautiful teak furniture, including chairs and a table. We brought wine and appetizers, which were supplemented by the wonderful fruit tray left for us by the owner Carolyn and her very capable caretaker Melissa. Our small group of ladies was prepared to entertain ourselves, but found that this home had so much to offer! The sunset on the deck was simply AMAZING! The kitchen is well-equipped, with a full set of dishes and cooking utensils and so much more — we found a full array of basic spices, every utensil we could imagine we might need, and more. The dining and living space is very comfortable and has the most amazing view of the ocean. With the windows open on a beautiful evening, you hear the sound of the waves and see the waves crashing on the rocks below. While just on the ocean, you might want to bring a pair of enclosed shoes — the rocks are a bit rough. If you want to relax and enjoy the sound of the waves, you couldn’t ask for a better place! On our second day, we stood on the deck with a rainbow in our hands and captured it all in photos! This place is AMAZING! Bring a raincoat and be prepared to go, no matter the weather. You won’t be disappointed!! There are so many wonderful sights nearby and Carolyn and Melissa have left you a wonderful binder of recommendations. Be sure to ask them for ideas — they’ve most likely “been there and done that” and will share their thoughts based on your unique needs! We found we were in driving distance of so many wonderful sights! Come, enjoy and explore! Relax, rest, rejuvenate! You’ll leave with new energy. If you’re an early bird, the sunrise is amazing!
